Rayman is hard to play, Man

I'm 6 and I've tried many Nintendo games, Rayman, Pokemon Stadium, Mario Party, ToyStory2, Mario Party2,Pokemon Snap, Diddy Kong Races, Donkey Konger, Yoshi's Story. I think Rayman2 look really fun but it is hard for a 6-year old to play. It seems better for a 10-year old.

I bought N64 Rayman 2 the great escape for my 5-year old grandson. I have to play first before I can teach my grandson
how to play. I got problem at the very begining. After Rayman's
first action to crash a pirate cage and catch the first lum, he
fall into a river. I know where Rayman suppose to go. But the walls are too high. I spent three days try to jump up to that
plateform, but I could not do it. This game probably will not
play again.

The game is spoiled by the difficulty of changing your view.

And I Thought The Dreamcast Vertion Was Bad!

Although a lot of people liked this game I hated it. For one thing this game was WAAAAYYYYYY too easy (I beat this game in three days playing only 1 hour a day! The first game had me playing for mounths! )! You're supposed to find this fairy to give you all your powers back, and yet you start the game with all your powers! Plus I don't care how good the graphics are, Rayman does NOT look good in 3D and does not belong in 3D! So get the first game, I don't recomend this game to ANYONE! And you know what's worse? This Nintendo 64 vertion looks WORSE and plays WORSE than the Dreamcast vertion! Now that's sad (Even though I never liked N64).

Don't Bother

Rayman 2 is not by any means worth buying (new or used.) Boring is a word that would best describe this game. The one bright spot could be the graphics, but that alone does not make this a fun game. If you are looking for an adventure game as such I would recomend Banjo-Kazooi, Donkey Kong 64, or Zelda 64. These are real games that are about 50 times more enjoyable than Rayman. Take my advice and don't spend your money.

When it first came out i thought it looked cool so i got it.
i found it very fun in the first couple levels, but when i got to the point were i fought the monster guy, it got very hard.
since then i got to the second place were you fight for the second mask... ...I got to that level almost a year ago.
unless you want a hard game, DO NOT GET RAYMAN 2!
it's the worst game i ever saw.

Fun, but way to easy

This is a fun game, but it was just to easy! I rented it from blckbuster and beat it on the second day! Do not buy it, rent it if you want to check it out. You may find it hard, but i hardly play video games and i beat it. The bosses seem like they are not even trying! I wanted to like this game, but easy games are not worth buying. Fun, but just to easy.

A fun story a fun challenge and a fun new character!

To start out, Rayman is this unique character, who has cool powers which he gains along his adventure to save his frog friend Globbox who is being held captive by pirates. It is a Mario type game with tougher bad guys and Rayman can throw balls of light at everyone. This game takes you to a whole new 3D world with a few dozens of levels, each huge and challenging. The challenges are full of puzzles, traps and monsters. It is a good game to improve problem-solving abilities. Despite the challenge they are all fun challenges that differ from level to level. Such as one level, you must fly through a tremendous lava tube, another you must ride a rocket through a twisting and turning pirate ship. Fun for younger ages and it will take about six months to beat. You may want to rent it before you buy it, but when you rent it you will be hooked.

Too short...

Just to let you know, This game is way too short to be a pretty good game. It took me only five hours to beat. If you want a very long game that is VERY hard to beat, then get Jet force Gemini. That game is so hard and long that I'm still trying to beat that game. or get the easier but not as easy as Rayman 2 older Id Software's first person shooters. DOOM for an example or Wolfenstien 3-D.

I Hate the Camera Actions

Rayman 2 is a decent game. I bought this game mostly for my younger brother, but ended up playing it a lot myself, remembering the first Rayman game I had on PC a few years earlier.
The graphics on this game are some of the best suited for the N64. There are other games, with better graphics, but those are games like Perfect Dark, which has realistic characters that under 64 bit graphics still look choppy and somewhat ugly compared to the newer consoles. Rayman 2's graphics are cartoonish in nature, so the lower quality display does not effect them too much, therefore the game wouldn't look all that much better on the PS2 or Gamecube.
The one thing that I did have a problem with in this game was the camera! The camera usually places itself dirrectly behind the character, but seems to have a mind of it's own 75% of the time. And although you can control it to an extent, it always snaps back to the over the shoulder view once you start moving again.
All in all a good game, both for younger gamers, and older gamers who just want to goof off and have a little fun.
