INNOVATIVE GAME

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 1 / 1

This game is actullaly very cool, the graphics are simply, simply stunning (If you have a LCD or Plasma connected w/ HDMI cable) Otherwise you can't notice.
You can interact with everything, the people, the roads, the walls, the roofs. This game is very into details, so everything you see on the screen has life of it's own. The game is a bit repetitve since because the fight mode doesnt aloud to do various combinations of combo-kills.

Overall is a pretty cool game that catches you since the beginning, the story behind it is very interesting, i would recommend it, i had a pretty nice time playing it.

Too short

Game is too repetitive and too short. Although visually it is really cool. That's why I gave it 3 stars.

Something different!

I like this game. Its different. It gets harder and you are free, you can do whatever you want. I love that about this game. the graphics are breath taking. I recomend this game to people who like doing their own thing when they play every once in a while.

Short and sweet review

The first thing you do when you pop this game in your PS3 is say "WOW!". It is absolutley beautiful. The controls and camera are excellent. Easy to learn, so it's a great game, right? Sadly, no. This game is absolutly a huge let down. From the first city on you do the same things OVER AND OVER AND OVER. This is a good game to impress a friend or family member, but don't reccomend to gamers becuase this game is one of the most redundent games ever. Everything seems fun the first time around, but then you realize you will do the same exact thing in a different spot a hundred or so times. I still think the series has potential considering the graphics the amazingly huge free roaming maps and the controls. Even the story was good. If Activision gets there head out of their butt they can turn this into something amazing but until then, 2 of 5 stars for fun factor.

NOT a next-gen game.

I played this game for about 15 hours and after having the game freeze on me nearly every time I played it, a screen finally appeared that said the disc was either damaged or dirty and could not be played. This was when I returned the game to amazon as defective. Even ignoring the freezing issues, problems with slow frame-rates and a lack thoughtfulness in character dialog, this game is still not bringing anything terribly innovative to the gaming community. Many reviewers are trying to highlight the positive aspects of the game, but I believe this to be a waste of time. This game is very fatally flawed and as such cannot in good conscience be recommended.

Pretty friggin sweet.

Assassin's creed is a must-have game if you own a Playstation 3. Visualy, it is amazing. Not just the graphics, but the way you can interact with everything. You get to play in 3 different cities, a countryside and you can go where ever you want. The way that he moves from rooftop to rooftop is graceful and fluid. Everything that he does is graceful and fluid. It's really amazing. You react with people on the street in a realistic way. For example- if you are running full speed and you hit someone, your going to get knocked to the ground, and so is the person that you hit. And just simply walking though a crowd is realistic.
The story is pretty cool and engaging. Basically you just have to kill some bad dudes.
Fighting is exciting. You can do a whole bunch of different things when fighting with your sword. Like counter-moves that kill the opponent. Something bothers me with a review that says something like "you find yourself waiting for the enemy to attack, so that you can finish them off with the counter-kill." What I think is that if you play in a way that will get you a guaranteed win without excitement is boring. So I try to use all of the different ways instead of just one. There are also different ways to go about the missions, and if you only use one way of course it's going to be boring.

There are some negative aspects to the game. The most annoying one is what the people on the street say. You will hear the poor people repeat the same lines over and over again. Also, when you save citizens from the guards, you will hear them say the same things to you over and over. But the background audio is great.
Also, the missions that you have to do to get information before the big kill are kind of repetitive, but there are different kinds that you can choose to do.
All of the negatives are overshadowed by the positive and can be easily overlooked when you play this game. You'll be like "aw, it's that dang guy I saved like three times before, saying the same thing" and then you can dash over rooftops with ease and chuck an archer off of a building and forget all about it.

It's unlike any other game that I've played, and if you are getting tired of first-person shooter games (point-shoot, point-shoot), this one's for you.

Assassins Creed

Excellent game, I was a bit skeptical because of the critiques (mainly IGN). Not really innovative like I thought it would be.. but still a very good game with a very original storyline.. something we don't see too often in games.

Some of the major positives for this game are the graphics, storyline, and the all around "badassness" of being an assassin during the crusades.

Some of the negatives would be the control scheme. Jumps are simulated.. and I'm not really sure where I stand on the fighting. There is no jump button which is very frustrating, I feel it's very crucial I mention that as it peeved me the whole game.

All around I gave it 5 stars because with it's flaws it's still better than 99% of what's out there now. I'd also like to note I've experienced no issues with the PS3 version and it displays absolutely gorgeous in 1080p.

All Hype

This game is all hype. When I bought it, I thought it would be the greatest game I have ever played. It is probably one of the worst.

First, the good: The graphics are amazing; they totally draw you into the story. The storyline is also good, it wouldn't make a bad movie. The sound is great, except for the fact that there are only a few different voices (but that is to be expected.) One of the most impressive things is the way the movement controlls feel so natural.

And the bad: The missions feel like the same thing over and over again. The fighting controlls are just pressing the same attack button and counter buttons. The way the crowd AI works is ok, but sometimes gaurds will attack you for no reason. Overall everything is just so routine, I am forcing myself to finish the game. I DO NOT RECCOMEND BUYING THIS GAME!

Amazing

I had a lot of fun playing this game. It has a very engaging storyline and fun gameplay. The ending opens up for other sequels.

Buy this only if you already own Uncharted

This is a very interesting game. I use the word interesting instead of fun deliberately. While Uncharted has that WOW that was crazy factor assassin's creed trends more towards wow that was interesting or wow those environments are well developed. Assassin's creed is a very technical game, you need to consider your suroundings, set up a plan of attack and position yourself correctly for the kill then use a planned route for escape since at later parts of the game fighting the 10+ guards which will come after you post assassination is almost certain death. Theres a lot of side quests but they are more or less all the same, kill 4 guards around a person to save them, climb a tower and hit triangle, pick pocket someone by walking behind them and hitting circle and sit on a bench near someone and hit triangle to listen in. Thats about 95% of the missions in the game right there with the other 5% being actually killing someone.

Basicly its like grand theft auto 1200 AD except minus the variety grand theft auto brought to the table. The living breathing cities and the graphics are amazing and should be seen and appreciated but only if you've beaten several other games such as uncharted and ratchet and clank which just have the fun factor down in addition to looking amazing and being technically sound like assassin's creed is. This is a very good game but it is good more by virtue of being well made then by truly being an exciting experience.
