So Good It Made Me Get A Real Pinball Table!

This game inspired me to get a real pinball table!

I now own (and maintain, lol) a Gottlieb Spider-Man pinball table and I must say that while I prefer the real table, it is a HECK of a lot more work and expense (more $$ than all of my wii console, controllers, games and virtual console downloads combined!)

Funny thing is that I do still play this game and enjoy it, despite the above. It is a SUPERB game that will take up the space of a slim game case (NOT the size of a small refrigerator!) in your home. It requires no maintenance, has no playfield wear or randomity (you get a perfect playfield, every time that will never wear out or need waxing or maintaining), the electronics will never die, no chips to replace or printed circuit boards to solder (or pay someone to fix!), etc.

I have experienced ALL of the above (although it's been very much worth it). If you are the average home user, though, this is still quite a satisfying experience.

And don't forget too: pinball is definitely a multiplayer game, many of these games are four player!

Good playing!

Amazing. . .

This game is absolutely amazing. The ball physics are so incredibly real and the graphics are second to none. There are, however, some minor glitches, but for the pinball fan, it does not get much better. I only hope they release the Bally's and Gottleib versions for the Wii in the US.

Best Video Pinball Game ever?

Excellent physics (much better than the previous Gottlieb collection) and a number of classic tables makes for the best video pinball game ever. Goals and unlockables encourage full exploration of table features. Only negative is that when you get good you will find the physics of some eject holes can be a little too predictable leading to a an easier experience than in real life.

Nostalgic and Great Fun! Even my kids like it

I saw this Wii pinaball game on Amazon at what I consider to be a good price ($20) and had to buy it. I had many pinball programs for the PC about 10 years ago but this is even better. There are a number of different tables to play and having two Wii remotes makes it fun. I own a real (working )pinball machine and found myself enjoying playong these older Williams tables. The game looks realistic and the motion is very fluid and life like. I have not seen all of the machines before but they were good fun (especially the newer ones). Now I can't play half the games my kids own (Sonic, Smash Bro, etc.) but my kids and I do play Wii Pinball and this is one game the entire family can easily play.

Something for the older crowd

I hesitated buying a Wii because of my dislike of the "cartoon character" based games that make up the majority of Wii titles. Being a pinball junkie of the 70's, I latched onto this game and have never regretted it. Wish I could say the same for AMF Bowling and Call of Duty 3.

For the fans of old school pinball...

Anyone who is old enough to remember these games will love them (although I have some younger friends who are addicted to it also)... I can remember in college, playing a number of these. They did a great job with the ball physics (even with multiball), and short of having these tables in your game room I can't think of a truer experience of some old classics (even the ancient Jive Time is faithfully replicated on the Wii platform). It's having pinball tables without the maintaining issues!
