Simply Perfect

BUY THIS GAME. This is a game where you're in full control of the character. Every grab, grind kickflip its all YOU! I never knew what skaters meant by expressing themselves through skating until now. The graphics are boosted up for the DC, and the movements are SO lifelike. It's like watching X-games on tv, but you're doing the moves! The one level (Skatepark in Chicago) is well worth the price of the game. And no wonder this game is sick, it's Tony Hawk, the authority of skating! Along with Neversoft, this game is beyond words, except BUY IT. If you like staying up late, and have no need for a social life, this games for you.

ya!

this is as real as it gets to actually going out and skating. the advantage to doing it electronically is that you won't have to go through the dissapointment of screwing up every 2 seconds

ATENTION ALL DREAMCAST OWNERS! GO OUT AND BUY THIS GAME RIGHT NOW.... Back already? THEN GO PLAY IT! Simply put, this is the best game I have EVER played. The graphics are incredible, the game has a huge amount of depth, and the trick combo system is great for racking up points. Although it is a quite easy to get all the tapes, there is still so much to go back to see and do.

Pros: Graphics, Control, Depth, Trick system.

Cons: .....still thinking... oh yeah! LACK OF SLEEP!

If you haven't already, BUY THIS GAME!

This game is increadible! Graphics are great, levels are huge, sound is wonderful! What are you doing still reading this? BUY THIS GAME! Still want more, eh? OK. Huge amount of characters, awesome soundtrack, perfect controls, massive replay value! The only gripe of mine is that they didn't add anymore polygons to the characters to push the DC's capabilities, and the 4-player mode was taken out. When all is said and done this game is still a must-own.

Well this game was ok, when I first got it but it got really boring. I just played the 2 player mode at first and that's probably the best part of this game. The music is really bad. I don't pay money to hear some one cussin'. The gameplay is kind of disapointing, all's you really do is jump, hit a bunch of buttons... jump, hit a bunch of buttons...jump, hit a bunch of buttons... But if I were you I'd look for a better game.

Must buy 4 Dreamcast Owners

I heard some people say this game stinks but thatz cuz they don't respect it as the original. They've just been spoiled by THPS3 which is obviously the best game yet, but for the first shot at a THPS game this 1 was a sucess! The Dreamcast version also has improved graphics & sound quality with the same good gameplay as PlayStation.

Cool skateboarding, cool music, cool parks... what more could you ask for in a video game? Well, maybe a little more depth, but any more fun and this game would explode! I have never skated a day before in my life. In fact, I was never really even a fan of the sport of skateboarding... until I played this game. Not only does this game get you hooked on mastering the clever kick tricks and performing those astronomical airs, but it gets you hooked on the sport of skateboarding itself. I've actually started watching various skateboarding competitions... and enjoying them! In the game I found myself enjoying going back and forth and back and forth and back and forth... and back and forth :) on those ramps. I found myself so engulfed in learning new ways to contort my character and spin him until I am dizzy, that I would, a week later, that I have still 95% of the game left that I haven't even touched. The basic gist of the game is trying to collect video tapes, which act as passports to new levels. The more tapes you get, the farther you'll get in the game. Sounds pretty simple right? Well, not exactly! Each level is filled with challenges that will have you throwing your controller through the t.v. until you figure them out. But once you figure them out, you'll be jumping with glee! You have a variety of characters to choose from and a variety of boards too, although this is mainly for looks. The only disappointing part of the game was playing it so much that you grow slightly bored of all the tricks, and you crave new characters, new boards, new levels, and new challenges. Another turn-off might be the language in the music, or the music itself depending on your tastes, but if language doesn't bother you, and you are at least tolerant of alternative metal-punk-ska music then you shouldn't have any problem with this game. So bottom line: if you haven't bought this game, BUY IT! Even if you're not a fan of skateboarding, it's a must have for the Playstation, the Dreamcast, or the 64! Whatever your fancy is. My preference is the Dreamcast, because of the slightly improved graphics.

This is by far the best game for the Dreamcast, it has 9 real pro skaters, great tracks, and plenty of one and two player fun. The moves are great, too! So, if ur going to buy one game this summer, buy Tony Hawk's Pro Skater!
