THIS GAME ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the best GBA game I have ever played!!!!!Im completely new to the series and decided to try it out the first day it came out.I found out this game has it all!Its incredibly fun and the upgrades are so cool. Not to mention the graphics, they are some of the best Ive ever seen on GBA.This game can get tough with its constant backtracking and complex(but well put together) puzzles. But do not worry, the fun of this game makes up for its difficulty level.I would also recommend the strategy guide too.Now that I have played this one ,I think ill try metroid fusion. Is it good too?

fun

This game is not as difficult as some of the other games in the Metroid series. I think that anyone who liked any of the Metroid games would like this. I strongly reccomend that you start on the normal difficulty level. It has it's pros and cons but really it's a fun game. The camera angle won't get screwy because it's a sidescroll game. I think it can be a lot like the original one. It does have some issues with getting stuck for the rest of the game but otherwise it doesn't have bugs. as I said it takes skill but otherwise pretty easy. I suggest you start with this game if you are new to the series. Here is a rating on a scale of one to ten

Sound 2/10
The music is bad everywhere, but volume control exists for a reason.

Graphics 4/10
The graphics are mediocre, but graphics don't make a game.

Gameplay 8/10
The controls are easy to understand, and the damage ratio is well done.

Difficulty 4/10
This game is pretty easy except timing to avoid stuff.

Overall 5/10
Fun but not terribly hard. I beat it after 10 hours of gameplay.

Afterthoughts
This game is not the best in the series. but is the easiest in the series. So it's good for beginners with the Metroid series.

"I remember from back in the Intellivision days, where the original Metroid first made its' debut. It's a good thing Nintendo is licensing this from Konami, because they made a mess of the series after their first attempt at a 3-D version on the Genesis."

The first Metroid game was not on the Intellivision, nor was there ever a metroid on the Genesis system as it was a Nintendo first-party exclusive series, and they did not ever license out to Sega. The first 3-d version of the Metroid series was on Nintendo Gamecube, and has good ratings. As for the mention of Konami? I'm not sure if Konami has anything to do with this upcoming game, I certainly haven't read any thing about.

I give the series 5 stars as a whole, for the entertainment value, and the original version of this game(on the NES) was incredible fun for its time.

I'll take 1!

Whatever the reason, I can't beat the monster in the end of Fusion that ate my ship. I plan for this game to have monsters that your weapons DO affect. I'd love to be able to beat the game without any invinisble monsters.

Sinces Metroid Fusion was good, then Metroid Zero Mission is going to be a lot better. Hopefully you start out with the power suit, and get the VARIA suit, and the gravity suit.

Now, I'm a long time metroid fan. Samus Aran is the most beautiful, cunning, and well rounded person every born, and this game accentuates her skills and personality traits like never before. Though a quick win, the warm ending and overall theme make it a must have game. If you don't own it, you should crawl into a corner right now and die.

Sweet...

YEEEHA! This game RULES! I love how much Nintendo improved the GBA versions of the Metroid series. M:ZM is harder, longer, and just generally better.
But DON'T call this a port of the original Metroid, or I will come to your house and kick you in the :CENSORED:.
The difficulty (for hard mode at least) is rewarding and the enemies are better, and familiar. The stealth bit at the end is still cool (AND it's a twist!) and while Samus is no Sam Fisher, she can still be pretty sneaky. LIKE A NINJA! HOOHA!
Gameplay: perfect
Sound: almost perfect
graphics: more than perfect
everthing averaged together: perfect
