While this is pretty much a remake of the original Metroid tale, it is still highly recommened to al GBA owners.

The music and mission of this game holds true to the original and will make you remember the classic like it was 1987 all over again... if youre old enough to remember.

Plus the added bonuses, like including the original Metroid game in its entirety, and including bonus galleries and a 15% challenge puts this Metroid game a cut above just about any other game out there.

The game, "Metroid Zero Mission" by Nintendo, really gives the original metroid story a good strong background. Although some features from this game differ from the original "Metroid", the rooms, levels and items are almost the same. It aslo sticks to the storyline of Samus' first mission: defeating mother brain. It aslo has the same good surprise ending of ***** ***** * **** (didn't want to ruin the surprise). Although the average game time for first players is only a puiny 4 hours, the game pushes you through easy, normal, and hard difficulties. There are also different peices of gallery art that you can collect. If your lucky, you could unlock the original "metroid"! You can win things by winning the game at different times, or getting a certain amount of game completion. Speaking of which, you can complete the game, with only finishing 15% of it (that's the lowest). This is a really great game that I know you'll be playing for a long time. I recomend this game entirely.

This is clearly the best of all the GBA games we have. It has shooting action, levels, exploration, high tension, boss battles, hidden passageways... Awesome. My only critique is the length...it could have gone on a little longer. Perhaps one more boss battle would be good. Once you finish, you can go back and try to complete things you missed, and can play the original Metroid.

A Must Have For Metroid Fans

I have been a fan of the Metroid fan since the beginning 20-some years ago, but only recently did I seek out a copy of this. I never had a Gameboy or the opportunity to play until I bought a DS. Highly recommend this title, especially if you love side-scrollers!

I got this game with an SP, and it great!!! I have metroid prime 3 and are a metroid fan,and with zero mission and fusion stolen, i need to get them again.

OK. now one of the great features about sidescrolling games (of metroid) is power grip. they did NOT put this in any other metroid non-sidescrolling games. period. I do agree that nintendo should have worked out the death sequence, that when you die, if you saved 5 hours ago, thats where you restart. nintendo also changed some other powers in the prime games.like the nova beam. but they added phazon mode, and the old X-ray vision. This is one of my favorite stolen games. (stolen FROM me!)

Short and easy, but fun

If you've played Metroid Fusion then you should know what to expect. Both are short and easy but very fun to play and I enjoy both games. If you're worried about this game being nothing but a rehash of the original, don't. In addition to a graphics update, the maps and gameplay have been altered quite a bit, plus there are new items and mini-bosses and the old bosses have been altered. Basically, the original Metroid was just used as a skeleton for this game. However, this also includes the entire original Metroid. It opens up once you beat the game. Of further note, this game uses remixes of the original game's music but they don't alter it too much and it sounds great.

As I said before, the game is a bit too short and too easy. You can probably beat it in one evening but it's great fun and I have personally replayed it several times.
