Fun but short

I found this game really fun for 2 days which i had completed it. this game is a bit to short and a bit easy to get 5 stars. the visual graphics are the usual for the platformers of samus's adventures but the gameplay is diffrenet but still is very good and when they combine it is really good. i would buy this if i had never played a metroid game before. another good game which works well with thia ia metroid fusion although it is older they are basically the same but fusion is much longer. so this game is worth a try if ur new to metroid and veterans borrow it from a mate it is a bit to easy.

I became familiar with Metroid back in the Super Nintendo days, and have loved it ever since. Finding this new game (Metroid Zero Mission) was a great suprise.

It has all the fun the previous games contained. I must say that I was not disappointed.

However, one of the down points by gamers is that it is not difficult enough. For game players like me, it was a plus. My game playing skill level is not as good as a gamer, so the option of playing this fabulous game on an easy level was a great advantage for me.

The easy mode may also make it easier for younger players to enjoy a good Metroid adventure.

If in doubt, rent before you buy. Or check out your local library, that's where I found it.

Personally as a Metroid fan, i must rate this one a 5, and as a gamer, great graphics and animation. The gameplay is similar to older 2-D metroid games but more suprises and secrets. Satisfying for the casual gamer, extraordinary for Metroid fans.

This game is the best reason to own a GBA!
What Nintendo has done is "retold" the old NES Metroid story by adding more story, better graphics, great sound (Remixed music from the NES Metroid), and more powerups. You will see all the old bosses from NES Metroid, plus a few more. You even get the old NES Metroid on there as well to show how far we have come in 20 years.
A must own for any gamer!

Short & Sweet

Not much I can add about Zero Mission that others haven't said...it's a great little Metroid game for your GBA/SP. If you already like Metroid games or 2D side-scrollers, it's a must-buy, and if you don't, well maybe it's not for you.

Gameplay is great, a linear format in that the game shows you where to go next, but you can explore around if you'd rather do that. In fact there are documented "sequence breaks" where you can alter the normal flow of the game and get items earlier than you should; refer to Gamefaqs.com for such info.

The graphics, music, and sound effects are all top-notch for the GBA and show off its multimedia capabilities (although I caught the Metroid developers reusing Link's Awakening's "Eagle's Tower" theme in Ridley's Lair!).

Infinitely replayable, lots of items to find (many hidden, par for the course for a Metroid game), just a great Metroid game. Unfortunately, it's way too easy (even on the Hard skill), and way too short too. I beat it in 4 hours on my first try (74% item collection) without a walkthrough, and aside from Kraid, didn't need to see how to beat a boss either. If you want a difficult Metroid game, find either Super Metroid (SNES) or Metroid II (GB '89), or beat this game once to unlock Metroid 1 NES, a true test of gaming skill!

Great remake

This game is really cool. The story is mostly about Samus trying to destroy the metroids on planet zebes. One thing about this game that bugged me was that it was easy. It seems liked they held your hand through the whole game so that you wouldn't have to back-track. I mean, I beat the game in 4:47:08, but thats because it was on easy. I bet if you really tried hard enough, you could beat it in under 2 hours (note: If you do, and on hard, you get something special). Now, I'm not saying you should ignore this game, I'm just saying that you can beat easily. But there's also something else. If you beat the game, you unlock the original NES Metroid in the options menu. You also can unlock different endings if you beat the game under certain time limits and difficulties. And, if you link this game to Metroid: Fusion, you unlock something else. If you want a Metroid game that is different, try Metroid Prime. If you want the original Metroid, then get this cause its a remake AND the original in one game.

Samus is back and better then ever!

Metroid Zero Mission is what I can tell you A CLASSIC Gameboy Advance game. It is a remake of the original Metroid game BUT expands it and gives it more beauty and wonder to it. Nintendo went with a bang on this game and is MUST own for Gameboy Advance owners. I don't have a GBA but borrowed it from and friend and this too, it was awesome. It is one of the coolest handheld games out there and a great addition to the metroid series. The graphics are good, the sound is great and the story is amazing.

Good
-Good visuals for the Advance
-Great gameplay
-cool upgrading
-very though out of enemies and cool bosses
-The cutscenes look amazing
-Remake of the classic Metroid!

Bad
-Very, Very short....Like..Metal Gear Solid 1 short(heck even shorter)
-Multiple endings but doesn't matter cause the game is just too short.
-a bit too linear but I don't get botherd that much...
-Some parts can get annoying

Overall If you ignore the fact that it is a pretty short it's an amazing game and is one of the best games availible for the handheld next to the Mario games..And I will soon buy and SP and this for my self...Overalll when it all comes down to this I giv it a...

4.7 out of 5 stars...

The best Gameboy game ever

This game is great. Even though all you do is move up and down, left and right, You still get that same Metroid feel. It is a prequel to the first Metroid game. It explains alot that I did not know about Metroid. And my faverite part about this game is that when you get through this game it unlocks a special feature that is the very first Metroid game. If you have a gameboy advanced or SP you sould at least trie this game. If you are a Metroid fan, you'll love this game. Don't worry about wasting your money.

I just want to clear something up. I said that this game was a prequel to the NES Metroid game. But it realy is a re-make of the first Metroid game. I just wanted to set that strait.
