Another adventure of Sonic!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 17 / 20
Date: February 10, 2003
Author: Amazon User

I played the game of Japan: It's one of the best games I ever play, it's the triple better than Sonic Advance. You can run much faster, and it's going to take more time to complete it. Also, the Boss are much harder. You can connect it to Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (and Sonic Pinball Party, I think).

The Characters are Sonic the hedgehog, Miles ''Tails'' Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, and the new character, Cream the Rabbit with Cheese the Chao. The goal: Stop Dr.Eggman and his new plan.

The levels are more longer and more fun. Also, it have a lot of hidden features.

It's going to be one of the best games of the year. Pre-order it, now!

Better than the Genesis games

This game is better than I could have hoped for. I would go so far as to say that this game is better than all of the classic Sonic games made for the Genesis. The addition of Cream is great. She fits right in with the rest of the characters. The graphics are wonderful. All of the characters have new animations but handle exactly as they should. The audio is classic Sonic and the boss battles are challenging but not too difficult. Since most all of the characters must be unlocked in order to play them this adds tons of replay value. And above all else, it's just a fun game to play.

Graphics: 5.0
Sound: 5.0
Control: 5.0

sonic2 is a great game:) but is way to easy, you zip through each level just like that. i'll admit, it had some pretty good stunts, and bosses, and would keep you entertained in the car for 2 huors, sinceitakes you that amount of time to beat it. the only bad thing i say about this game, is the last boss. he is way to easy!!! i hope they make all the bosses a little harder, next game!!! bye:)

Better than SA

Sonic and his buddies should always be presented in 2D, and SA2 is by far the best evidence I have to back up my case. This game is a pocket adrenaline rush, featuring designed worlds strung together by ramps, swings, and loop-de-loops.The game provides a sense of speed I haven't experienced since Sonic 2 rolled around for Sega Genesis 10 yrs ago. And now that I'm thinkin about it, I'd say this new release is actually a touch better than that milestone classic. Bold words,I know, but give this game a chance and you'll understand where I'm coming from. SA2 is instantly accessible, and it stands as the perfect compliment to the more methodical Mario games already in your collection. This
game isn't about depth, it's about it's all about flash and energy, and I mean that in a good way. The game does have one big flaw:it's length. Experienced Sonicheads will blow through this short adventure in less than 3hrs. After you finish the game with Sonic, you can play through as one of his buds, but really it's the same game regardless of wh you are playing as. Even so, SA2 is definitely worth adding to your collection.

This game rocks!!!!!!! i bought it on monday march 23 2003 and i love it. This game has sonic, tails, a new character called creme, my alltime favorite knuckles and it also has amy as a bonus character. Ive almost beaten the game with sonic and havent beaten any levels with the others but i have played with them. theis game is the best sonic game ever (excluding the gamecube ones) but it has one downfall. ITS TO SHORT. that is the only reason i gave it 4 stars not 5. but if you've played sonic games before you know that you never get bored with them. plus they have sweet multiplatyer racing game that only works if you both have the game. but for all you sonimaniacs out there that cant afford a gamecube this game rocks and its worth the money.

Sonic Advance 2, special game, but a little unfair

[I got this game when I was 10 ,a year ago. Hi, I'm Aaron.]
I think this game is amazing in some ways. But, the special features is unfair. Amy should be someone to rescue, not unlock. The special rings are hidden almost inpossably. Sonic has small chance of getting them because he can't fly or climb. Cream and Tails may find them. "MAY!" But, Sonic is a doozie. Good luck. How do they expect you to transfer your Chao data when you have to unlock the Tiny Chao Garden? How are you going to even hear the sound test? The Time Attack is not to fair either. How can you be expected to get all 7 emeralds as at least 3 characters and complete the last level as all 3 characters; and exactically the same ones you got all the emeralds with? You will never get to play as Amy unless you get the stratagy guide. the characters are very well gifted with moves of thier own, but Sonic needs an advance in moves. Cream is the best character ( unless Amy is better, I don't know ). The Final Zone is top world. I like the air tricks. The multiplayer is extream. The menus are very colorful. The game and graohics are awesome. That's a rap on my review. I don't know any cheats for this game.

Sonic Advance 2 is one of the best

I got Sonic Advance 2 on my brthday and I was playing it the instant I got home. The game play is amazing and so are the graphics. The reason I gave it 4 stars though is because it's a little difficult. THe game is pretty easy until the 6th zone. Then it gets pretty hard(especially as Sonic). Another thing, the game was too short. I've already beat it with Cream and Tails and am still trying to beat it as Knuckles. The last thing is that there aren't enough cut scenes in the game. There are only 3(that I've seen). Overall it's a pretty good game. If you are a true sonic fan, you should get it.

Even more zoom than previous Sonic games

If you have played the great classic Genesis Sonic games and the first Sonic Advance and just expect more of the same, think again. This game is even more about total speed getting from point A to point B than the previous games, with level design all its own. The levels are designed so that, if you want to, most of the time you can just hold down left or right and watch Sonic (or one of the other characters) ZOOM - until you are slowed down and have to decide how to proceed. Don't get me wrong, the levels are huge, with many paths for Sonic to take and a lot of stuff for the floatier characters (Tails and Cream) to explore. But everything, from each level's racing-style opening to the delightful fast-driving Eggman-vehicle bosses, and especially the level design, is all about speed.

You can probably dash through the first four levels on your first game, but from zone five onward the difficulty level, both in the levels and against the (I have to mention them again) speedy frenzied moving bosses, increases steadily every zone. The game is just difficult enough to keep me from zapping right through it, which is a good thing and keeps me coming back. I completed the first Sonic Advance the first day but have not beaten this one yet. I also have explored plenty and have not yet found a single chaos emerald, but I am sure they are there. This and the difficulty curve all keep me interested.

Another thing I like are the three action buttons. There is a jump button (essential), an attack button (with different effects depending on your character, including a ground pound that breaks floors and can aid in exploration for Sonic), and a 'trick' button, with high-speed effects that vary by situation. What's so good is that only the jump button is necessary, but if you are fast enough and want more variety you can make the game feel much deeper by using one or both of the other buttons in just the right situations.

I don't know just how long this game will keep my interest, but on the second day I have had it, MAN is it fun. It's all about speed.

This is the best Sonic game on GBA. Sonic Advance was good, but #3 was very bad. Sonic Advance 2 has a new character named Cream. She is really neat but dosn't have much of an attack. I'd reccomend this game because you alot faster and there's more action in it.
