We bought this for our Technology/Anime Club at school--a thinly veiled reason for kids to stay after school and have fun with computers. The kids found it easy to set up and use and even I, the 55+ year old teacher, easily caught on. I think I prefer DDR, since then we're doing more exercise, but this is good, too. We bought the PS2 version, so we didn't have to risk bringing a more expensive Wii to the school. The PS2 works exactly the same and with much less risk.

really fun game to play with a group of friends or with family. even if you dont know some of the songs, it is easy to sing along. a big tv and surround sound is also recommended for the "ultimate rock band experience"

I got this for my fiance for his birthday and he plays it all the time. We have friends over to play it and his 7 year-old even mastered the drums. This is way better than guitar hero and it is something the whole family can enjoy. The song selection is pretty good. There are a few I wouldn't have picked, but I am sure some people dig them. Most of the songs are great and it definitely gives you a variety of songs to help you grasp a range of musical and gaming ability. We got the PS2 version so we could use our Guitar Hero guitar with the game. I love that you can use other guitars with it. Well worth the money. I got mine gift wrapped in a big blue bag, which was good because the box was a little ripped and he was trying to peek at his present. He was convinced I got him a tarp or a tent.

Its great fun ONCE you learn how to play all the instruments. The trainning videio is kinda confusing, and it takes time to complete the entire trainning section. Once you get it, it rocks!! Way more fun to do with your crazy rocker friends.

Rock Band Special Edition
I bought Rock Band for my son for his 9th birthday. We like it because you can have multiple players (a singer, drummer and multiple guitars by using the wireless one that came with the game and also the Guitar Hero guitars). It's fun for kids and adults!

Rockband is a fabulous game that is tremendously fun for people of every age. A day after I got the game, I was hooked. I went out and purchased another guitar for more players, and even went to the music store to get a mic stand for the microphone! I'm glad I didn't pass this up.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband seeing as he loved Guitar Hero I thought he might really enjoy this. I was right! I love it to! Our friends love it too! Everyone wants to come over and play! We really enjoy Guitat Hero but this is even more fun! Great way to spend time with family and friends!

We've had lots of fun but just wished it had more songs...... In one week we finished playing all songs. Also the songs were not very popular songs, some songs I never heard before. But we still had lots of fun!
