I dont hav this game yet but I will get it for Christmas. I looked at some of the negative reveiews but I think I still like this game. My friends are wiping their eyes, like they think it is a dream. I think this may be interesting, but for some people think it sucks. The only thing I dont understand is that why they would give Pefectly Ultimate Great Moth away in some game. Geez!

Sacred Cards Rocks!!!

I've Read The Reviews For This Game And It Looks Awesome. You Now Get To Use The Egyptian God Cards Obelisk The Tormentor, Slifer The Sky Dragon, And The Winged Dragon Of Ra. Who Hasn't Wanted To Use Those Cards In A Video Game. You Also Get To Walk Around Battle City And Gain "Puzzle Cards To Get To The Finals. Plus You Can Buy Cards Now. The Only Bad Thing I've Heard About It Is You Have To Gain Experience Points To Use More Powerful Cards. Overall This Is A Great Game And I Suggest You Buy It!!!

This game is only for children under the age of 10 and amatuer adults who think the show is the only way to play the game. I have lost all respect for Konami with the release of this stinker and I am very sorry I spent any kind of money on this title. Stick to original card game!

BAD!

I've heard of 1 step forward and 2 steps back.. but three steps back? They crippled any sort of stragedy in the game. it became highest attack points and the race for divine monsters. Everytime I see those "suppeior" "inferior" circles I cringe.. Explain to me how a 300 attack points fire monster can crush my perfectly ultimate moth? that is over 11 times as powerful. Back to the finesse thing. The "special" option you have ot click with cards, sometimes you place the card out to hold onto, like a cyberjar. I've kept it out for 3 rounds so I could place down witch of the black forst and Sangan's to maximize the number of cards. In this game that couldn't even work since I couldn't do it in one turn. Then there is the fusion method again, I want to use the card. This fusion by placing them ontop of one another is stupid, hald the time you waste a monster by making a false fusion. Then the Card limit again, 5 cards.. what happens if I wanted to hold onto all 5 cards and work with what else I get. Don't buy it people. The previous games are alot better. The only redeaming feature at all was being able to walk around and having a story line. Besides that, it isn't worth the 2 hours it takes to beat it or the anoyance when you find all of your favorite effect monsters have been messed up royally.

This game has a lot of ups and downs to it. The ups are that you can move around as a character in it and you get the Egytian
God Cards in it. A down is that the game is too short. Great game Overall.

AWESOME GAME!!!

I got The Sacred Cards from Santa. I already have 4 locater cards. The 1st card I won was from Bonz. The 2nd was from Rex and the 3rd was from Espa Roba. So here I am sitting at 4 locater cards. The DDS rules are back and they're kinda good. You can kick bonz's ... using an unhappy maiden at 0 ATK or to Really suprise him, set it and let him attack it. His Monster will be destroyed, and you can direct attack him, GOOD.

Depends on how you look at it...

It really depends on what you are looking for --

If you are into the Yugioh stories and RPG games, this game does a great job incorporating the duel monster card game and Yugioh plots into a RPG. You will feel good to be part of the "friendship circle" of Yugi, Joey, Tea, and companies. Generally speaking, it's a great RPG game.

However, if you, like me, are looking for some challenging "dueling" experience, it will be a big disappointment. In fact, I didn't find it challenging at all -- I lost only 4-5 duels through the entire game including twice to the final foe, Marik, who took me some time to figure out.

What this game has to offer dueling-wise is way less than that from the Worldwide Edition. There is really very little strategy involved in the duel matches in this game. For example, you can't control the timing of executing trap cards, there are very few meaningful effect monsters, and there is basically no visibility into the graveyards, let along utilizing them in matches. The only enhancement strategically, compared to the Worldwide Edition, is the element of field impact, where, say, insect-type monsters are considerably stronger when fighting in the park, and aqua monsters in the aquarium.

Anyway, I am still looking for a Yugioh card game that can give me some old-fashioned, palm-sweating, mind-buggling chess matches.

What the?!?

PROS:
3 cards included
pretty good graphics
you can use the "god" cards
CONS:
Plays much like Dark Duel Stories (cards have different effects weak monsters can defeat strong monsters depending on type, etc.)
Card wording is very confusing
controls when dueling and fixing deck are a nightmare
many real life rules do not apply in this game

duels can be very confusing

When I bought The Sacred Cards, this is not what I expected. Yes, you may get to walk around, and yes, you get to use the god cards, but the gameplay is not correct! It is like Dark duel Stories! Why would Konami make one mistake and then make it again? anyway, the gameplay is way too confusing, and I cant even figure out how to get cards. And know what? I have played this game for only 10 minutes, and I already don't like it! The only reason you should get this is for the cards. In my opinion, World wide edition is better, and you should get it over this game. But the choice is up to you.

FINAL OPINION: If you are a Yu-gi-oh! Veteran (Like me), DO NOT GET THIS!! Since veterans usually know the effects of almost all cards, you are going to get very confused and frustrated.
