yugioh the sacred cards review

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 3 / 5

The game isn't though some summons beat others.Your aloud to use god cards in this.At the beginng don't think you the god cards cause you don't.If you go to trunk you could look at every card in the game, but the ones that have to 0s means you don't have them.If you lose a duel used a card as an ante you lose that card. The only way you could win a card from your oppenent is if you use a ante and win the duel. You don't have to use a card as an ante.Hit the r button to duel someone. Some people don't duel you.If this does not help you read the book that comes with the game.

A Yu-Gi-Oh fan.

This game looks cool! I don't have it yet, but I plan one getting it. I think it would be cool if they had the game to were you could win the Items (Yugi's puzzle, the rod, etc) and the god cards. That would be the best game for Yu-Gi-Oh ever! I hope this review was helpful.

U can't use Ra.2.Cards in real life don't have their
effects.3.U can only get locator cards from certain people.4.It's short.5.Once you obtain Ra,the game's over.

I've played through this game 3-4 times. I like it a lot more than some of the other YGO games.

Pros:
Addicting
Lots of dueling

Coms:
You have to duel a lot to put strong cards in your deck.
You don't get to use the last egyptian god card (Ra)
After you beat it you start from your last save point
Doesn't follow the real rules very closely

It's a fun game, but not for everyone; if you are a fan I'd at least rent it. It doesn't take long to beat.

I was looking for a great Yu-gi-oh game and this was it. It has many pros and few cons.
Pros:
1)You can walk around battle city
2)Dueling rules based on the card game
3)Cards from the official card game
4)You can enter to codes on the lower left hand corner of real cards to use them in the game
5)Cards from the show that aren't in the official card game (brain control, Magician of Black Chaos, etc.)
6)Cards that were released after Sacred Cards came out.
7)A good plot
8)You can use two of the three god cards!
Cons:
1)You cant use the Winged Dragon of Ra
2)I beat the game in a day. It took roughly the same amount of time to beat the game as it took to read the fifth Harry Potter (for me that's not that long)
3)The rules are loosely based on the game. They have a pokemonesque type system that messes with the game. You can summon a blue-eyes ultimate dragon and if the opponent attacks it with a 1/1 shadow monster it's destroyed
4)The card summonings are also very inaccurate. You can summon a ritual monsters like the Black Luster Soldier without a ritual and you can summon the blue-eyes ultimate dragon by sacrificing 3 creatures instead of fusion.
5)Their are no effect monsters who's effects are correct (i.e. man eater bug has no effect, Slifers attack is 4000+1000x2xthe number of cards in your hand.
But overall, this game is worth buying, used only though.

Around the holiday season, games become a great last-minute gift. What would I recommend for any Yu-Gi-Oh! fan? The latest Yu-Gi-Oh! GBA game from Konami, the Sacred Cards! Why? Well, here are the ups of The Sacred Cards:

* You can collect and use the God cards! The downside to the cards is that they do not have the same effects as the ones I've heard of.
* This game allows to player to play in a walkaround format like those Pokemon games. I've been waiting a LONG time for Yu-Gi-Oh! gameplay like this!
* You can interact with characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! show and other people. If you don't want to duel, you don't have to! Unlike most games where you get dragged into a fight when you try to talk to someone (PokeMon again), you can just talk to someone to collect info or if you're bored.

This game does have a downside, and it can be a plus-side for those who liked the Duelist of the Roses. The biggest problem is the form of gameplay. It follows a combination of the "Perfect Rule" and normal dueling. Now, I don't know about you, but I enjoy a normal duel better than anything. You know, the way it is played in the real card game, like in Eternal Duelist Soul and WorldWide Edition. Also, there is a point rule where each card has points with it. Your deck cannot exceed the set point limit, so high-leveled monsters, which have high points, really add up.

So, there you have it. Sacred Cards has pretty good play value, but those who don't like the gameplay that strays from the original form of dueling should stick to WorldWide Edition and other games more faithful to the correct way of dueling. Other downsides include:

* Card effects are all screwed up! Many magic cards, trap cards, and effect monsters don't do the same things they used to. Some changes are good, some outrageous! Take BEUD, for example. It has become a TRIBUTE, and you need 3 BEWD, the Ritual Card, and BEUD in your hand to make it work!
* You cannot exceed 40 cards! Need I say more?

If these things do not matter to you, then by all means buy it!

Happy Holidays!

This is the worst game ever. The Game is based on the YU-GI-Oh show. The good thing is you can walk around. The duling is like (DDS) the cards do not do what they really do. It is easy to win but it is hard to get locater cards. NEVER BUY THIS GAME! IT IS A WASTE OF $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

This Game Sucks!!!

Konami is killing Yugioh!! The only good thing about the Sacred Cards game is the three cards that come with it. The first Yugioh game for game boy sucked. Eternal Duelist and Worldwide Edition were excellent, but this one totally sucks. The cards that are supposed to have effects can't do anything, you have to earn points to play any good cards, the card designs suck, there is no real interaction when dueling like in the last two games, and a blue-eyes white dragon can be defeated by a monster with 400 attack points. This game really sucks and I am sorry I got it. If Konami keeps putting out games as lame as this one, than Yugioh will follow the road of Pokemon. Don't waste $30 on this game.

It an ok game

This game is fun. It has a new way of dueling but it's still fun. You can go againsts alot of people. Most are easy 2 defeat. Also you can use the Egyptian God Cards :). The first u get is Oblisk by defeating Kiaba. The end is dumb though because you have to give the God Cards back to Ishisu Ishtar. I beat it in 1 day and it only took my like 3 hrs. i really like the game but it would be a lot easier to rent this game instead of buying it.
