i got enter the matrix today, and it is really fun. the game engine is very smooth, you can tell they spent a lot of time on it. there are a few things that could be a little better, like rag-doll physics or better clipping, but still it's great. not to mention the full-motion video sequences are amazing. totally as good as the xbox version.

great

I purchased this game the day it came out, and needless to say i was very impressed. First off the game engine is stellar; the focus mode, the martial arts moves and the gun play were all great. The music and sound was adequate leaving nothing more to be desired. Hearing the guards talk and the chatter of their walkie talkies was a nice effect. The graphics are ok. The character models are somewhat blocky, and the backgrounds seem very bland. I was very dissappointed in the length of the game; it only took 6 hours or so to beat it on Easy mode. The replay value makes up for that, being that you can beat the game in 3 different modes (Easy, Normal, Hard) and with 2 different characters (Niobe and Ghost). Both characters have similair missions, but they usually have different objectives or jobs and such. One of the greatest features of the game that goes unmentioned is the "hacking" mode. It works very much like DOS does on your PC, and through hacking mode you can access cheats, weapons, different characters etc... although staring at this text base mini game can get boring. This game will make a killer rental, but if you're a Matrix fan then go pick it up.

Pros
- Bullet time
- Integrated FMV scenes
- hacking
- replay value

Cons
- sub par graphics
- repetitive gameplay at times
- can be too easy
- Agents.

Very fun game for those who are Matrix fanatics! If you enjoyed the movie, you'll enjoy the game. Here's your chance to do incredible moves, like running up walls, and to enjoy battling those nasty agents. The action is sometimes hard to keep up with, but the game is very fun. Enjoy the Matrix!

Best game of all time!

I loved this game.I bought right before I saw the movie. When I started playing I was amazed at how realistic it looked. I felt like is was in the movie. It was awesome how you could jump off walls, and there were so many different punches and kicks it kept you pushing the focus button to see them in action. Anyways it was a long game, but I loved every minute of it.This game has everything driving, fighting, comedy, and adventure.Even if your not a fan of the movies you'll like this game. It's worth every penny. This is definately the best game of all time, so far anyways.

Alright

I would give the game 4 stars. First of all the game kept messing up and sometimes it even froze. Sometimes i lost because somebody died and the next time i won with the person dieng. I dont know if it's suppose it be that way but i am confused. If you have seen the movie and know who Ghost, and Niobe are you get to choose wither one of those characters and fight to save Zion with them. I thought you would play with either Morphies or Trinnaty but you dont. Those are the down falls about the game. It's awesome because the weopans are tight and the moves you can do with the characters are awesome. If you are a Gamer and are looking for a game i would reccomend to buy this one. OKAY GRAHICS.

Short and could've been sweet

I rented this game from a Blockbuster near by. First of all... DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. You will be EXTREMELY disappointed! When I opened the case and it had 2 disks and I was like wow! "Resident Evil" is that way and near unbeatable, this is gonna be a challenge...HA! The game lasts 6-7 hours and can easily be beaten with a bright TV (Due to some rather dark levels) The gameplay was great. But there is one aspect to this game that would make me not recommend it too, anyone. I played as the girl and there is a scene in which she need's information from another female character, Persephone and she has me (The Female Character named Niobe) give a painfully long (Just because of the fact) passionate kiss for the information. I felt nauseous and like I had to take a shower. Language is like a PG-13 flick with strong profanity nearly a dozen uses of the "S" word and the lords name is taken in vain nearly the same. The middle finger appears a couple of times too. It's really sad that this game could've gotten by without the coarse language and that one kiss...would've been a great game. :(

way too easy

Like my title says, this game is way too easy. I got this game on a Saturday and beat it on the next Monday. I only played this game for about three hours and it was over. The people who made this game could've done a lot better.

The graphics also could have been much better. I own many games for the Gamecube and, hands down, this game has the worst graphics of all my games. I also know that the Wachowski bros.(check my spelling on that) worked on this game for a few years and the outcome looks like the game was a complete rush job. Not what I was expecting.

The script is very confusing(unless you see the movie first, and the movie is confusing as well). You go through the game doing all the usual stuff done in the first matrix like running from agents, shooting guards, police etc. There are many different levels and eventhough the levels have many smaller areas, the game is still extremley easy. One level, if you even want to call it a level, requires you to take about three steps towards a door to a cut scene.

There are some "cool" features to the Matrix video game like the ability to focus fight and shoot(just like they do in the move...well sort of). There is not a lot of aresenal(meaning weapons if you don't know what that word means). That also makes this game not worth fifty dollars.

My advice to all of you people out there...Rent it do not waste your money one a three year rush job.

All in all:
Graphics: 3/5
Plot: 3/5
Fun: 4/5

Atari makes a comeback!

Atari is back with a five star game! I have yet to see the first matrix, so I don't know if the game is based on the movie yet. This game reminds me of Max Payne for PS2 and XBox because most of the moves are the same and you can enter bullet time at will! This game ain't for anyone who loves shooters because your most likely to do more hand to hand combat than shooting. And yes, the world famous move, the lean back to dodge the bullet is in there, too. And the agents are back and even harder than ever! If I had to choose between renting it or buying it, I would buy it without even thinking about renting it!

Another movie game that misses

I'll start off by telling you people about the good points of the new Matrix video game. For starters the game is written and directed by the Wachowski brothers. Meaning that you get cutscenes that have the actual actors from the new Matrix movie. Another good feature to Enter the Matrix is that you have the ability to focus fight and shoot. This means that you can fight and shoot like they do in the real matrix trilogy. And the last good feature to the game is that you can play as either Ghost or Niobe. Meaning that after you beat it with one character you can go back and play as the other one.

Now, about the flaws in the Matrix game for Gamecube. First off, the graphics to this game are way bellow par. I know that the Gamecube is capeable of doing much better and that the designers of the graphics could've done a much better job. Also, the game is so easy to beat. Many levels are extremly short. Another flaw to this game is that within three years of the development of it the Wachowski brothers were only capeable of making a huge rush job. Meaning that the game looks like it only took a few months to design and create it. This game is a big dissapointment. My advice to you people is to just rent it and do not waste you money on this game unless you are a gigantic fan of the matrix.

(One more thing that I forgot to mention is that the game is extrmely confusing unless you see the movie and good luck if you understand the movie.) Anyway I have to go and study the plot. Luckily I'm on summer vacation. Allright, rent this game don't buy it. Thank you.
