Capcom does it Again!

First off, I've JUST gotten this game. For 2 days in fact. I was Immediately struck by the graphics! The Gamecube is deceptive. A small, diminuative machine that can PUMP the polys! In RE0 you come upon this train AND an escaped Murderer! Do things stop there? NO.....when the spores start to fly & morph into incredible monsters YOUR task is just beginning! The one NEW thing I am quite impressed with & like alot is the solo or team feature! One can play as Rebbecca OR Billy or team up together!

Going down the aisle of a train with zombies on all side with you covering each others backs is a BLAST! Have one character go do one task & then switch to the other & do another task. Many times this cooperative type of play is the difference between success or "you have died!". Any follower of RE series will LOVE this game & those who haven't played one (WHAT PLANET ARE YOU FROM?) you'll LOVE what the Cube can do! It's not just for Kids anymore!

Capcom has done it again!

This is the best of all the RE's. I am a big fan of these games. The ability to switch characters was the best feature of the game. The graphics were astonishing + it scares you like h**l. The monsters are better than ever. Thats right very few zombies and more leaches. I reccomend this game to everyone who is fan of RE.

The best evil yet!

OK, all of you hardcore Resident Evil Fans, are you up to the challenge? Of course you are, and if you're like me you've been wating a while for it!

Personally, all of the games are great, they story is great, everything and anything Resident Evil is just-- great!

All of the games have had it's moments of dificulty, whether it be outrunning the hideous Nemesis, to outrunning Crimson Head zombies in the REmake.

Sure, those moments were difficult, but I believe that Zero will be the hardest RE game to date. Here's why:
1- 2 characters to worry about, at the same time
2- No more item boxes, sure they were a bit surreal, but I liked them-- not that I'm not going to love this game just the same!
3- From video's this game just looks hard
4- the graphics will bring a BIG sense of realism into the game, which can be terrifying at times (EG: Rainy nights, dark nights, anything to do with night =P )
5- The monsters look tough. There's hunters, tyrant like prototypes, scorpions, and-- oh yah! the undead.

One good thing that might make the game easier, or even more difficult:
I read in September's issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, and they say that they got rid of the Crimson Heads, mainly because there isn't much backtracking. Now, backtracking has always been a big part/issue in RE games, but without it there, will the game be harder?
I'm glad the Crimson's aren't there, the first couple times I saw them in the REmake I was scared as heck, they really catch you off guard, and require a big dossage of ammo, but I think that w/o backtracking the game might be a bit more difficult, because it's more area to have to remember, and if you put down an item somewhere, and need it, you have to remember the area's.

All in all, I canNOT wait for this game to come out (Nov 12)

Resident Evil 0 is a good addition to the gamecube lineup, which is mostly either kiddie games or games that are also released on the Xbox. The graphic and sound design are great. However the camera could be better, and I hate the inventory system. I would rather use the chests located at certain locations than having to drop an item that takes up two slots, run back and get it because I need it, and then drop it again because I need the slots for health and ammo, and then run back and pick it up again, the hookshot being one example. It's annoying as hell. There are great moments in the game and some of them will make you jump out of your seat. The boss fights are cool, you'll never look at insects the same way again. The leech zombies suck though. Thank god theres only a few of em.

Rather dull and completely non frightening.

I've been a on again off again fan of RE for some time now. I like the concept of the games, but I just don't like the games. RE 2 and every game after it was just too boring. Code Veronica for Dreamcast was the best of the lot in my opinion, so that upped my memories of the games a little bit. Sadly, upon playing RE for the Gamecube, all the truth about this series came flooding back. I rented it for five days, played it for two.

First off, this game just isn't scary anymore. RE2 could creep me out like nothing since the original Alone in the Dark. This game however, just feels so "been there, done that.". The first zombie I met I tried to shoot and kill, big mistake. Surprise, it killed me despite being pumped with several rounds from my handgun. So, annoyed, I restarted. This time I ranĂ½ and that worked. After reading up in some walkthroughs, I found out that you spend the vast majority of your time doing just that, running. "Survival Horror". I was depressed. None the less, I figured I'd give it a try. For two days I ran from everything in sight. I tried not to chuckle at the "horror" of it all, and kept running. Even when I finally got the firepower to fight back a little, the game had lost appeal. And of course I use the word "firepower" very lightly, ammo is rarer than gold in just about any RE game out there, and of course you'll never get a useful unlimited hand to hand fighting tool except for your worthless survival knife. Why can't your character effectively shoot them in the head? Just give me some dang weapons and the ability to use them!

I really can't see why anyone would enjoy a game of this type. I can't see the appeal to anyone but the most casual gamer or hardcore horror fan. My advice, avoid this one completely. If you're a big RE fan, rent it. But don't buy it without trying it first or you may regret it.

I've been following the RE series since the begining, and I have to say that RE Zero will most likely deliver for all RE fans. Despite the few prblems with the zapping system that was present in the demo, RE Zero is a very solid game.

Resident Evil Zero, is neither scary or fun.

Resident Evil has one awesome game in it's franchise, and that's Resident Evil 2, and one awesome intense extension to it in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Other than those two games I really fail to see what all the hype is about. The Original Resident Evil was not quite in the same league as the two that followed. Resident Evil pretty much hit rock bottom with Code Veronica, and then Resident Evil was losing it's edge.

Along came Nintendo and promised new life to Resident Evil, and a new start. That sounded good so Nintendo fans and old Resident Evil fans jumped all over it. Thus Resident Evil is as hot as ever again. While the new remake to the original Resident Evil was very hyped and successful, I really felt like the actual game was overrated. The original Resident Evil might have been the building block for it all, but by no means was it a great game, and the remake was just that with improved graphics.

Now comes Resident Evil Zero, which seems to use the same engine as the remake. Finally a new Resident Evil game, but not quite because again we're going backward instead of forward and we already know what happens after, so there are no real surprises here. You can't help but feel that you've done this all before with the same gameplay and plot. Resident Evil Zero, is neither scary nor fun. I wish people would just finally realize that Resident Evil is the most over commercialized and rehashed franchise in the history of gaming. Not only is the Resident Evil franchise boring now, but it's also beginning to annoy.

AVOID THIS GAME

this game is very, very bad. first hting, it is very slow, and very boring. I loved the first one for gamecube. The story was better, and they're zombies. In this game, you'll find a lot more giant bugs and insects than zombies. So, if you grew up watching dawn and day of the dead, and are a person who plays a game for zombies, do not buy this game. They'res giant bugs like a 50 foot high caterpillar, and a 50 foot long scorpion.; I HATE this game. Where in the world would there be a giant caterpillar in a mansion? Final thoughts: Boring, slow, STUPID. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE FIRST ONE, GET EITHER RESIDENT EVIL 22 OR 3 FOR GAMECUBE, or if you dont have the first, get the first. its awesome. RE1 makes this game look like animal crossing.

totally hell raising

Great graphics!!! Though kinda dissapointing in the script area, like the RE movie, I don't really care, it's Resident Evil!! At least it's got one great line, which some better RE games Don't have "The name's Rebecca Chambers, but that's OFFICER Chambers to you! Ok, REBECCA!" The only thing that bothers me about it is the guy in the dress. Why does he wear it? It doesn't explained!!
