an extremely short title. It was over in a couple of days. A bunch of new levels were later released on xbox live...

Same old song and dance

This game isn't much different from the first. The game is definately tailored for those with Live. For those of us without.... The game is still rich in detail but a few bugs still do remain. The waypoint guide still requires you (sometimes) to get into the exact spot or spin circles to release it. Arms will still appear through doors and similar barriers and team mates will still get stuck everynow and then. The most disheartening thing is that a sniper really isn't needed. The specialists have a amount of accuracy at a range that only a sniper should be able to hit. If they can see it on zoom they can hit it. The number of levels for those of us without Live is also a downside. But still all in all this is a good game and for a challenge play on Elite. It's a keeper.

Good game, but as good as the first

I played through this game very quickly compared to the first. More weapons to play with and a little harder, but not nearly the game the first Ghost Recon was.

Great Game

Red Storm did a great job with this game. The weather effects are outstanding and the gameplay is better than the first. It has 8 campaigns and 10 mulitplayer levels. The only con about this game is that the graphics are good until you get up close to an object (like a house). Despite a small shortfalling in graphics, this game has great jungle warfare, and the live play is even better. I would recomend this game to everyone, especially if you have xbox live.

More great ghost recon action

Unlike the first Ghost Recon which had 14 levels, this one only had eight. And I flew through them. Wish it was longer. I do recommend it for all new strategy players but it should have been longer. :o(

ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER!!!!!

Tom Clancy never seems to ever to dissapoint me. From his books to the awesome video games he produces. I guess this is a review about a sequel to Ghost Recon, Ghost Recon Island Thunder, not a biography on Tom Clancy. Unlike the first game Island Thunder is mainly based on cool jungle combat with sweet visuals and improved graphics. Even though it is a shorter game than the first one it has that same Clancy touch, in fact the game is better in all aspects than the first Ghost Recon.

Gameplay: Just as good as the first Ghost Recon!!! 4/5

Graphics: Some of the best I ever seen!!! 5/5*****

Multi-Player: Improved from the first Ghost Recon!!! 5/5*****

Replay Value: Never get tired of!!!!! 5/5*****

I personaly give this game a 4.8/5 a great addition to your collection.

I also reccomend :

Splinter Cell: 4.5/5

Soccom Navy Seals: 4.7/5

Ghost Recon Jungle Storm:-

Ghost Recon Desert Siege:-

Just like the first.

This game is basically just like the first one only with slightly better graphics. When I rented the first one I loved it and decided to buy this one when it came out. It's a good game but it's geared towards online play on Xbox Live, there aren't very many missions. Unless you have Xbox Live I wouldn't recommend this game. Insead get the original Ghost Recon or Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 which is an excellent game.

Fun to play

Ghost Recon Island Thunder is a fun to play game that's an even better experience if you have Xbox Live. The ability to download additional content and play the game multi-player greatly adds to the value of the original game. Even without Xbox Live, Ghost Recon Island Thunder is still money well spent. Enjoy!
