Good for a change of pace from other metal gear titles

This is a really good strategy game, it is also quite difficult you should definetly get a few hours of gameplay out of it. I reccommend it to anyone who likes strategy games....especially card strategy.

Metal Gear Acid should be one of the first PSP games you get

I held off getting this game at first because I didn't think I'd like the card based system. I was wrong, the game is extremly fun and when you get into it you don't even notice that you use cards to do everything. I first got Ridge Racer and Twisted metal: Head on, while I still highly enjoy both those games this one sucks you in to it and won't let go. This is probably one of the most edicting games I've played (even though at some points it gets really frustraiting). The game's story line is in there with all the other metal gear's, it makes you think, it is wierd yet amusing, and at first makes you pretty confused. This is my first and only card based game I've played, the game is so cool that it doesn't feel like one (since the cards you us can shoot people[by using one of many guns to chose from], slice them[with a sword], and blow them up [with a grenade]. There are really no bad things about this game exept it may get a little slow at times. This game is just simply put, cool and fun, plus it actually feels like a real game, since it has a story line and is more like a PS2 game than a portable game. Do yourself a huge favor and go right away and pick this game up.

Final Fantasy Tactic meets Metal Gear meets Yugio. Everybody out there who have played the previos Metal Gear games will probably shy away from this title simply because it's a card based stragety/stealth game. The game is turn based, you must use your "cards" to move around the levels, use weapons, and interact with the environment. The gameplay itself is sometimes difficult and some of the missions are really, really, long. On a ligher note Snake is the main character, and you can customize your deck with over 200 unique cards to choose from. the starter deck give your about 30 cards to start with, but as you progress your deck allowance increases and you can buy cards, and unlock cards by finding the hidden packages in the levels. Wi-fi multipler is a plus to, allowing you to pit your deck against your friends and to trade cards.
In conclusion this game is a new unique look at the Metal Gear world. I would only suggest this for hardcore Metal gear fans, and tactics junkies might enjoy this as well.

I love the Metal Gear games,mostly the SOLID games and the originals,however the "AC!D" games are not me-its all card strategie not action and the "AC!D" games don`t even count in terms of Storyline its just a mission that Solid Snake those before his next big adventure(a sidestory).If you like card strategy games-Metal Gear AC!D one and two may appeal to you but if you like being able to move freely w/o strat. then go for the Metal Gear SOLID games.i am a Metal Gear games fan,and i am getting a PlayStation Portable(PSP) and have a couple of games in mind(AC!D 1 or 2 is excluded) they are;

GRAND THEFT AUTO:LIBERTY CITY STORIES.
NEED FOR SPEED:MOST WANTED!(5-10-0 or sommit`)
MIDNIGHT CLUB 3:D.U.B. EDITION
METAL GEAR SOLID PSP/or is it METAL GEAR SOLID B.D. (?)

Yes i hear that a Metal Gear SOLID game is comin` to PSP,or possibly 2 MGS games! one called MGS PSP and one called MGS B.D. i heard it off IGN.and since its a SOLID title it should be traditional gameplay right?i know that they may be sidestories but the fun will be remain.i hear that BD will take place maybe even before the events of MG1(Outer Heaven) as Snake younger.He had an action packed life in adulthood so it could be a mission for FOXHOUND and Big Boss as his commander?!-if there is a SOLID game coming out for PSP i hope its B.D. Because there is no point in another Side Story.If you did like AC!D then you guys have got AC!D 2 comin to yaas.

I bought this game at an airport. At first I was excited thinking it was going to be on par with the other metal gear games. To my surprise, this game is nothing like the previous ones. The card based play is slow, boring, and lacks the continuity of the other games. If you think it's going to be like the others don't waste your money. Needless to say, that flight was boring, I actually opted to read the United airlines flight magazine instead.

I have Lumines, Ridge Racer, Wipeout Pure, and of coarse Metal Gear Ac!d, and i must say that Metal Gear is by far my most played, and enjoyed game so far out of the four. People are quick to shoot down this game as soon as they here that it is a card game!, and that sucks because this game is amazing! Picture sneaking up behide a soldier, going throught you deck, and selecting your "Sword" card, and slashing your ememy in two pieces with out him even seeing you! Guys you wont go wrond with buying this game. This is a must have!

i got this game along with my psp due to it being a release game, but also because it was getting rave reviews. Now let me tell you it does not live up to the hype, but it does give off some innovative gameplay. I'm not saying this game is bad but, it does loose intrest once you die a couple of times. so overall this is decent game to get, and a great one if you like card based games.

The game is a tactical game similar to Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics, etc. You control Snake as he makes his way through a giant facility. You pick up new equipment etc. This is NOT a card battle game like Yugi-Oh. You have cards but the only thing they do is represent the options such as Use, Item, etc. They do not contain monsters. Who says MG can't have a spinoff into Tactical games? The series was pretty much made for this genre being stealth tactics and all. Besides many series have done this like Final Fantasy, it was a regular RPG but then someone took a chance for change and made it tactical! Wow! Now the FF Tactics games are superior to the bland regular series. Metal Gear Acid is for strategy/tactical game lovers who want to stray from fantasy based themes for a bit and try military for a change. It looks good and plays good, it is a very good PSP game, perhaps in the top 3 in my opinion, number one being the awesome Lumines puzzle game and Wipeout.

I got this game thinking that it would be fun. but it sucks s--t. This game really sucks. It is a lousy card kinda game with wierd rules. If your a nerd into pokeman and yugioh and those kinds of games this is the game for you. If not dont waste 40 bucks on this game.

It is no fun. When you shoot a guy you slect a guy shoot. It hits him with 3 or some shots. Guess what he doesnt die! YOu take turns shooting each other, until one of you die. Pretty f---ing retarded eh?

THis game is @#$*ing waste. Get yourself something more useful. Dont buy this game. Trust me it sucks s--t.

I would of given 0 stars but i cant.

Who was the moron who said "yes, lets make metal gear a card game. People will love it"? Do not buy this game unless you want untold hours of complete b.s.

You'd think that when you saw metal gear on the shelf for psp that'd you'd get something very similar to the other metal gear games....nope, you just get screwed out of 40$ and a headache from trying to play this idiotic, boring "game".
