One of the best!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 1 / 2

This game is one of the best racers ever made. Its attention to detail and its large car list (166 fooly licensed cars) from the Honda Civic to the Dodge Viper GTS! Controls are fairly easy and once the player knows how to drive it fall falls into place. This is a must have, and at the greatest hits level, the price can't be beat!

The selection of cars is amazing. The courses can be difficult enough. The only thing I didnt like is that they dont have Pontiac cars.

A great game that is eazy to pick up.

A great game for all racing fans. You have to earn the cars by winning races. And to win the races you need to get a license, and that is very chalanging. But the arcade mode is a great way to practice for the races. Has great Replay value.

simply the best!

Only played a demo. Sure the graphics are great for PS1. but that really doesn't make up for it. The racing title 'Sega GT' which is complete rubbish. is better. I have Gran Turismo 2 and Gran Turismo 3:A-Spec which are much better games. GT4 will be even better than those 2 And so will be GT5.

get in to your old car and go buy this game NOW!

This game may have excellent graphics, many different cars, and all this other crap, but it doesn't have control, and control is the main part of the game. If you accidentally tap the gas while turning you spin for 15 minutes, and loose the race. To go around a small corner, you need to hit the brakes! Also, the licenses are a pain. In order to win big money, you have to have to have an international license, which is almost impossible to obtain. Tests such as go 3 miles, around a hairpin, brake within 30 feet of finish line, and do it all in under 45 seconds, WITHOUT going off the track. That may be exaggerated, but real tests are pretty close. The only thing I do like about this game is the choice of cars-140 of them. Most of them suck, such as anything under 20,000 credits, but it is the best part of the game. If you want a game that has graphics that rival GT, and is less confusing than it, go for Need for Speed:High Stakes. NFS also has a hot pursuit mode where you can chase or be chased by the cops or another friend- GT doesn't have it.
