MONSTER RANCHER2 is the best virtual pet game for playstation!With its 3D graphics& unlimited gameplay its a great game!The best part is that you can release monsters from other CDs!& it also comes with over 400 monsters ready for action.

An excellent game, but lacking a straight forward plot. Great variety and open-ended gameplay is what intrigued me. A certain improvement to me was that I now have an English version of MR2. I have basically all japanesse versions of games before they come out here but I finally have a MR game I can understand. Although this game is an improvement from the MR1, the gameplay doesn't quite differ much. I hope their next sequel is better...

I gave this one star because the seller sent us a scratched and damaged game and it wouldn't work, so, I couldn't even play it! One look at the cd and it would be evident that the product that was received was in poor shape and I would never buy anything from them again and would not encourage others to either--since they send sub-standard products to hard-working consumers who aren't being paid to examine their products, just receive them in terrible condition.

A sequal that shouldn't have had a prequal!

This game is great. it didn't need to have a first 0ne because t is soooo much better. You and your assistant Colt must train monsters to become a grand master trainer and fight Master Pabbs. Train all the monsters you want and the game never gets boring. With over 300 monsters no game involving monster traing can compare.

If you like to train and battle monsters, you will love this! You create, raise, train, battle, and love your monster. I had a c-level Gibberer (Ape\Hare) named Ogno, but it died. :(

Monster rancher2 is a great game for kids around 10 or 11. This game has very simple controls yet young kids may not enjoy or fully understand this game. In this game you raise monsters at your ranch. When raising you have the choice of either sending your monster on a errantry to gain new attacks or drill it in one area.After you can battle in torneys. Your goal is to win in the major4. You can also gain monsters by either combing2 monsters, purchasing one or using music or any kind of CD to `realease' monsters. Your style of traing affects the way your monster fights or does on drills or errantrys

If you like Pokemon, Digimon, Magic the gathering, or any other game that includes monsters you train, you will absolutely love this game, i got it and i havent stopped playing it even after 6 months, even if you do unlock all the monsters and beat all the challenges (which would take absolutely forever,but you would be entertained the whole time) you still have enough things to keep you busy for ages upon ages to come.This game is not turn based, not limited, and totally 3D. Oh yeah, there are over 400 monsters you can get, you can mix them together to make even more monsters or monsters that posess the strength of both monsters.Dont hold back on buying this game, its great for all ages, makes a great gift, and is a very good pass time.

This game is great!I'm always playing it and use up ALL my free time!The monsters rock so do the training areas and battles. The monsters are funny and its fun watching your monster and playing with it. The only glitch is on my game when I try to get monsters from the shrine it won't let me do it so I always have to get my monsters from the market. But once I combined two monsters from the market and got a REALLY good guy. So the point is get this game!
