A Great, freaky, boring game

It's one of the best TMB ever, I admit that but it is also bad. You see, if you select a character, you go through stages. You now, shoot cars, kill cars, run into cars, etc, but the more weirder part is that you see these gross movies of people socking a person with a scissored gloved-arm, Bloody-Mary stabbing people, Cannibals, and more. The game is great at first. Blow up houses, run over people, make a ferris wheel run down, but I got bored after a week. You see, after a while you realize its almost like playing a 2 1/2 3-d game. If you fall and land on you rtop, it juxt fips back, and it doesn't look real either. So don't go buying it for your kid, its gory........DUH THATS WHY ITS MATURE!

I PLAY THIS GAME ALL THE TIME! I LOVE THE DESIGN OF THE DESTRUCTION AND GRAPHICS OF THIS GAME. BY THE LOOKS OF THINGS FROM THE CHARACTERS, IT'S HARD TO TELL IF THERE'LL BE ANOTHER TWISTED METAL GAME FOR THE SERIES. I WONDER HOW FREAKY LOOKING SWEETTOOTH WOULD BE IN THE NEXT ONE. THAT'S WHY I DON'T KNOW IF THERE WILL BE ANOTHER ONE. THAT WILL SUCK, THOUGH. THIS IS ALREADY THE BEST IN THE SERIES.

I've been a twisted metal fan since I played the first a bunch of years ago with a friend, ended up renting part 2 & 3 and buying part 4 the day it came out, when I herd about twisted metal: black,...I ended up Renting one, with the game, and I must say, you couldn't even see this in a horror movie!

the story is simple . . a bunch of maniacs from an asylum, all have there own flaws,...they all compete in the "twisted metal circus" where they compete to the death and get one wish they want! with cars suched as a blood caked ice-creme truck, a hurse, a war truck and more!

forget your past TM games, and get this! disturbing, creepy, gothic, you need it!

I was more impressed with the stories of the drivers than the actual gameplay but this is not to say that the gameplay [stinks]. No, not hardly. This game was and still is one of PS2's premier, flagship games. Though it would've been great to have more boards to choose from. This game is great with a group of people playing. A definite buy now!

Got the game because of the reviews. Big disapointment. The game is simply silly. Maybe OK if you're 13 but still. A lot of better games out there. Graphics also disapointing.

Finally a good Twisted Metal game! It's been a long time since Twisted Metal 2, to long. TM3 and TM4 were really terrible, but now since 989 aren't in control anymore the series has a chance to be cool again. ANd what better way to make it great then to bring back the same team that made the first two! This ended up not only being the best Twisted Metal, but also one of the best PS2 games out now. This game rocks in everyway possible, graphics, sound , control. Although the controls take some getting used to, mostly because of the speed of the game. This game is FAST, but you do adjust to it pretty quick and in the end you are glad the sped it up to a almost constant 60fps. A pretty dark game as well, not childish and silly like 3&4. And this time White Zombie isn't in this game, or any other [stuff]... that totally gets on your nerves. THis time around there is only one actual song, the Rolling Stones-Paint it Black, and for once the pre-recorded music fits in with the feel of the game. If you own a PS2 then this is a must buy.

My hand really,really hurts.Don't get any funny ideas my hand aches from playing this game for hours and hours on end,with too few breaks in between.Part of that is due to how insanely difficult Twisted Metal Black is.On medium level,it took me an entire frustrating afternoon just to complete a few stages in story mode.But the other part is due to how addicting the game is.I just couldn't get enough.After completing it,i still had to play more.Single player.Multiplayer.It didn't matter.Even after my left hand was thoroughly wrecked,i was still a trooper and played on.You see,incognito really did right by everyone and finally made that long overdue good Twisted Metal sequel.The graphics are sharp,and the levels are clever and rather innovative{likeone where you're riding on a giant oil tanker that ends up crashing into an asylum on the shore,thereby making the stage twice as big}.More importantly,the game physics are practically perfect for this genre{contrast that to Twisted Metal 3,which had a rotten game engine}.The controls feel just right,too,although you really need to use the d pad and not the analog stick to do the special attacks{this contributed to the hand wrecking}.I only wish incognito would've given the game a sprinkle of variety.Each story mode chapter is basiclly the same as the last{except for the boss and mid boss stages},and the number of multiplayer feautures are on the light side.

well i must say this is one of the greatest games i had ever played. the graphics are really cool. i go to nouth bethesda middle school and they have a after care program ther and have a plastation 2. well thats were i played it and it was verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry fun. look you won't find this review useful but still just buy the game.
