I feel your pain Jose. I pre-ordered the game which was to include a free headset....got the package yesterday, and inside the BF2 box was just the head set, no damn cd's. Now i gotta return the friggin thing, and not get the head set. bang up job amazon...the 1 star is for them, not the game...i'm sure it rocks. will not pre-order through these gimps again.

Battlefield 2 is an excelent sequel to 2003's Battlefield Vietnam. With in game voice support out of the box, scaleable maps, and in game squad mechanics, Battlefield 2 is not only the best online action game to come out in a long time, it is also the best game to come out all year! If you like on line shooters do yourself a favor and play Battlefield 2!

This is one of the best games ever released

All I have to say is that this game is amazing. Internet is fun but mostly having a LAN. One thing I have to say is there alot of glitches in the game, such as riding in a car and you see the ground moving, but overall a kick a** game!!!!

No Co-Op mode - deduct 3 stars

Battlefield 2 is an excellent game. It has wonderful graphics, plays smoothly, and has great maps and gameplay. However, it is missing the part of the Battlefield series that made it so much fun: Co-op mode. All of the other Battlefield games allowed you to set up a game with 64 players and fill them with Bots. This way you could have a small LAN party, and fill the "empty seats" with 60 or so characters. This was a major oversight by EA and they need to come out with an update, or I will not purchase Battlefield 3.

Also, the music from Battlefield Vietnam was excellent. I think they should have implemented a way to play music while in vehicles in this version. One last thing: there is no way to play single player mode with more than 16 bots.

preordered the game the first day it was available for pre-order. Pre-order offer was for the game ans a free headset. Got the game, not the headset. Love how Amazon.com used the old bait-and-switch tactic. The game itself is awesome. Requires a pretty hefty system to play it, which I will need to upgrade my hardware eventually. I have a GF 5700 and a 5900...both play it great. [...]

The Servers Suck

Well, if the official servers ran adequately the game would be nearly as good as others have described.

But the reality of the game is that EA has not provided enough support for the game so the game is beset by horrendous lag in the instances you can find a non-full server to play on.

The connection front end is something out of the 80's with no BUDDY LISTS, no functioning filters, and crashes half the time you ask it to refresh. It'll take you a half hour of attempts to log into a server that allows you to earn rank, then you'll be sickened by the lag and usually disconnected before the mission plays out.

Wait for a patch or for the game to come out on console. Currently the game is more frustrating than fun.

Well, this review is from playing the Demo multiplayer level, not the full game. But, even in this short of a span I already know this isn't a game I'm going to put my money down on. I played BF 1942 and loved it. This game looks very vehicle dependent. Being on foot is pretty worthless. Even if you are an anti-tank player, it really does no good as the anti-tank missles don't home in and are almost impossible to get a kill on a vehicle at almost any distance. There are aircraft all ove the place, as well as anti-aircraft missle turrets you can jump into. The only problem is they are "suppose" be be heat seaking missles, but almost NEVER hit their target. The aircraft can drop flares to throw off the homing ability, but even when they never drop flares, I was only ONCE able to get a kill. So, for the most part, aircraft can fly around unapposed.

You'll find yourself getting killed from no where a lot. I'll be running along and all of a sudden I'm dead. I don't know where it came from, or what it was. It gives you an indicator to show what direction it is coming from, but you almost never see what is shooting at you.

If you love spawn killing, then this game is for you. I would spawn into a base and have a tank 15 feet from me pointed right at me. You don't even have a chance to move before you are dead. And for those of you that played BF 1942 and remember how bad spawn killing could be, it's 10 times worse now.

The sniper is hard to use. I would shoot and shoot and shoot sometimes at a motionless target, yet they wouldn't die. Maybe this game doesn't let you shoot as far as you can see, I don't know. Part of the problem is the scope itself. With one of the sniper rifles, the crosshairs block what you are trying to aim at. You can't really try to go for a head shot, because you can't tell if you are on the head because the crosshairs are always in the way. With the other sniper I used, it used a crosshair system I wasn't use to, and I could never tell if I was even getting close.

To me this game was exactly like the BF 1942 mod Modern Combat. The vehicles are the same, weapons are pretty much the same, and even has some of the same problems that Modern Combat had, like the difficulty using sniper scopes and the dependency on vehicles. If you like the Modern Combat mod, then this game may be for you. But, I never could get into it, and I can't get into this game either.

Ive been playing this game for almost a week. Since its new im sure it has flaws, not everything is perfect when it comes out. Oh and i wish i had a better graphics card (i have a 128mb nVidia) but i cant have video on high, right now everything is set to low execpt Textures, i keep that at high.

One thing that bugged me today when i was playing, is that the server changed me teams, and when it did, my team mates names were still in red (red names is the enemy)and i was booted for team kills.

Other than that this is game is all good. I usualy go as Anti-Tank, i like to blow up stuff :D. Yes it takes about 3 or 4 times to destroy a tank, but whats fun if its gone at the first shot. If you cant destroy a tank, dont be anti-tank :D

The Aircrafts are kinda hard to fly, well for me they are, i see some just take off and fly perfectly, i guess everyone has thier skills.

So theres many things you can do here, if your not good at one thing, try something else. For me Anti-Tank is it, and a little bit of Special Forces.

Other than the little new flaws, this game rules! Well id type more stuff like all these people, but i rather go and play, and let you discover how fun this game is. If you like military games, this is for you. I like it better than First To Fight.

Thats my s/n up there btw.

Better have a good computer

i gave this game only one star not because it isn't fun, i'm sure it is, i did because i never got a chance to play it. the system requirements are way to high for most peoples computers even mine which i thought was fairly good. probably the biggest thing is the requirement for the graphics card, it says it will run on a 128MB card but it is only compatible with the newest cards almost all of which are 256MB or higher so don't be fooled. If you have a new computer with alot of ram and a good graphics card have fun with it, if your not sure double check that your system meets the requirements so you don't end up wasting your money and getting a game that won't work at all like I did.
