Great Game with awesome Battle System!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 8 / 8

I own this game, and i love it!
Some PROs and CONs about the game...

PROS
1. Great Battle System!
2. Awesome music
3. Interesting Storylines
4. 140+ Hours!
5. Based more on battles than storyline (not as much talking)

CONS
1. Graphics not that good
2. Can get stuck easily

The best part about this is the battle system since you can equip a variety of weapons and you can learn a variety of abilities (my fav. part!). I also like the "combo" attacks where allies or enemies team up to do an attack.

Definetly a worthwile game in my opinion!

SaGa Frontier Rules

I bought this game becuase it was a Square RPG. I had no idea what it was going to be like. It turned out to be the most engrossing game I have ever played! I love how the seven characters stories cross over. The wide range of characters (both good and bad) makes this game even better. The ability to link attacks is perhaps one of the greatest ideas ever introduced into game play. I have fun learning all the different attacks for characters. I admit that some quests are better than others, but for the most part they are very cool. I found this game more entertaining than FF8. The overall game structure is different from anything else I have ever played, which is very good. I say that this is perhaps the most entertaining RPG ever!

The most underrated game ever

I can't believe I'm the only person I know of who enjoyed this game. SaGa Frontier is not an RPG where the player is lead around by the hand or forced to read an interactive novel - SaGa Frontier is all about gameplay, which is where it excels. The combat and magic systems are very deep, the battles and puzzles are challenging, the cast of characters is mind-boggling, and best of all, the game forces you to make your own decisions rather than have the storyline make decisions for you most of the time. Who can argue about that?

Good......

This is a great game... Some poeple definetly would not like it just because it is so non-linier although even I did not like it the first time I played it but after I played for a while I began to like it more and more.... At first I was just like where in the heck do I go? But then I realized that, thats what makes the game fun... People say a major dissapointment for Square (which was not true, it did not make the best sellers list but it was not a dissapointment) but they made the game the way it is knowing the risk that some poeple will not like it, and somepoeple will.... I do recommend renting this game before buying (if you can find a place to rent it). If you do end up buying this game and you get lost but like the game then the official stradegy guide is the best bet for help... I bought one after beating the game once and it helped alot to find weapons and various other things.

This game is another great game from Squaresoft...

I have one thing to say : Dream Super Combo. There is no better move in the game, and it is so cool to watch. Get those weapon points, because DSC is all you need. The game is very fun due to the fact that you don't have to do anything. If you like to build up characters to the point where they are insanely powerful, this is the game for you. For example, I built up so far in the one quest, that in the mage fight (Blue's quest) I got through it with sword styles. Enjoy and happy building.

One of the Best Games Ever!

This game I think is one of the best games ever! They have a great battling system so you can kind of pick if your in a battle (kind of) and it has beautiful and artistic graphics. It has a great story line for each person and all the people are unique in there own ways. They also have a great learning and leveling up system. You never know what's gonna happen next sometimes!and all in all I think this game deserves all the stars possible and I reccomend it to most people!

Saga Fronteir is a great game for people who like a challanging game. This game has 7 different characters (Red, Blue, Emilia, Asellus, T260, Lute, & Riki). Each character has a different mission, example: Blue has to master different types of magic. This game can relate to real life situations. Over all this is great game for peolpe who like challanging games!

Greatest game ever made? Possibly.

This game simply has amazing gameplay. If you're looking for good graphics or a good story, do yourself a favor and play something else. But if you think gameplay is the most important factor in a game, this is for you.

One small problem: When they say this game is non-linear, THEY MEAN IT. GameFAQs has an excellent FAQ for it. Get MHobb's FAQ and it'll be a lot more fun.

And stay away from the sequel.

Saga Frontier: One of the Best Games Ever Made?

Saga Fontier is one of my all time favorites. Lots of people on other reviews claim that it is Confuseing with weird character overlaps.....well to me the character overlaps made the game even better! I do have to agree with the confuseing part although, it often left me without a clue where to go next but that only made it more challenging. This game has Seven different characters you can use as your main...but you may meet up with others on your way. This is a type of game that people need to make more of. I love the type of battles in this game the combos ect. The extremly different storys lines for each character is also a catcher for me. If you are skeptical about buying this game i suggest you at least rent it to try out and also dont get discuraged if u get lost, confused, or stuck just work your way out its always possible. Thanks For Your Time....... Sincerly, Gal Gamer

Three words...better than FFVII

This game is such a masterpiece. It has wonderfully brilliant music, an even better battle system, and characters that are just having some little problems for you to fix. The storyline is what you make it. If it is to be involved, then go do a lot of extra things to make the story longer. If it is to be bare minimum, then blow right through the game. Needless to say, the base story isn't the most involved I've ever seen, but everything else about the game is beyond any Squaresoft RPG on PS (except FFTactics of course; FFVII and FFIX are so newbie and bandwagoner based that they ...more than anything that has ever ... before; FFVIII was ok...) Anyway, I've played through this game on several occasions, and I just love it. I'm the only person I know to have played this game longer than 1 or 2 characters, let alone beat it. Everyone that doesn't play this game is missing out.
