Too dark, and don't know where to continue the game.

Poor game! That's all I can say. But some people may like it. But not me. I should try to play the game if I have the chance before I pay for the game and waste my money.

My First Computer Game

This was my first computer game that I ever played, so I did not have anything to compare it to. I enjoyed playing and I was never board. I didn't have time to be with all the note taking. I just thought that was what you did in these type of games.

As far as the puzzles go, all the clues were given to you so if you had them, the puzzles were not all that hard to figure out. Even the one with buttons.

I am from the Atari generation so, to me, the graphics were great. Since playing Syberia, I know the difference. I was actually board with Syberia at first because I didn't have to take notes!

All in all it was a great game. I did not like the ending at all, it made it seem like a dream. I do hope that DarkFall II will have a better ending.

One of worst games I have ever played.............

I am not able to find words befitting this game.A game is supposed to give us some fun ,pass our time ...This game sucks in every aspect. After roaming around the hotel and station for an hour I concluded that there is nothing in there...(You cannot find a single person (or a thing) in this game...you and you all along). It is not scary (for guys who love scary kicks...).Then I went through a walkthrough and found out that the entire game based on some poetic lines or something WHICH CANNOT BE FOUND without a walkthrough. For example we have to find a line in a book in page 21...the funny thing there will be n number of things will be in the room.I do accept that certain level of difficulty must be associated with these things...but they should be rational in the sense...And not the least the entire game was written in Macromedia then you can imagine....

Save your $$$$$$$$ ..........

Best Adventure Scary Game I ever played !

I thought Dark Fall (one) was an Outstanding Game. It had all the elements of a great adventure scary game. It is fairly easy to play. The game is straight forward. The puzzles are not too difficult or impossible to solve. There are many voice characters. One must involve oneself 'in the nature of the game'. Don't cheat it. No real hints are necessary to play; this make it a very good adventure learning game for future game playing. Give it a try, and it is a ancient bargain.

Most disappointing game I've played in a long time

I bought this game based on the great reviews, but I was very, very disappointed when I finally played it. I'm surprised this didn't come in a set of 3.5" disks instead of on a CD. If you like playing games that look like they were made in 1990, then this game is for you. Everything about this game is cheap and behind-the-times. Navigating one full screen at a time (instead of actually "walking" from place to place" severely detracts from the game's realism and playability. If you want to waste a few dollars on a game you'll only play once or twice, I suggest you buy this game.

Atmospheric

This game is worth playing mainly because of its creepy atmosphere, which unnerved me at first! The puzzles are pretty good and the ending was a bit lame, but I still enjoyed it and recommend it for anyone who likes suspenseful mystery in a very well constructed environment.

Story interesting - game design flunks

As a "seasoned" adventure gamer, this one disappointed me greatly. I cannot recall when I last played a game that required me to WRITE with pen and paper, about every clue in the game. Most central objects cannot be inventoried so you can revisit them at leasure, but you have to walk back to the place you found them, and recheck things. A waste of time and effort - the plotline should be finding things and clueing them together, not how well you managed to write all words down, excatly as written in the game.

I must admit I didn't finish the game. I don't have patience for that. I got tired, that clicking on a door won't open it, unless you click excatly on the little spot around the door-knob put aside for this excat function, and the constant turning around to see everything - no wide-angle view when you stood a few pases back.

The storyline sounds interesting, and the spooky atmosphere in the game, is great and chilling. But the composition of the game has a long way yet to come.

I love adventure games. Nancy Drew is the best. It would be nice if there was a warning about ouija boards or other supernatural garbage being part of game play. I don't use them in real life, let alone in a game.

So-So Game

The graphics are just okay. The storyline is so-so. There is a lot of notetaking to do! Just try to use your head and write down the important stuff. It is a bit hard to gather what will be important, but you will get the hang of it. There is a lot of reading, but it adds to the story. If you don't read everything, it will make the game more boring with a less interesting tale. The game is not scarey, nothing is going to jump out and make your heart race. There are a few creepy sounds and that is it. Some of the puzzles are too easy, yet a couple took some figuring out. It is a lot of the same stuff over and over it feels, which gets a bit boring. I lost interest in it from the moment I started, but completed the game anyway. It is not the worse game, but I suppose could be better. I hope I like the second one more, if I even bother.
