I believe Peter Jackson did a exilent job on the two movies so far. He did it the best that you could of excepting some little flaws that i didn't like. Excpecially when the elves arrived at helms deep. That never happened. That was a crucial part in the book that they didn't show up prooving that they let men die and they didn't care.

I got the xbox version of this game when it first came out and i beat it easily with aragorn(first time) in about 3-4 hours easily. If you start out with legelos beating it the first time it will be longer because he seems to die faster because is bow is useless against most enemies until you got all upgrades(besides shielded enemies).

The good thing though is that it does have good replay value. My thought on truly beating the game is to get perfect on every level with every character, even the bonus mission. There are many bonuses like getting interviews from Orlanda Bloom, Viggo Mortenson, Elijah Wood and ect.

On some parts of the game i would give the graphics ten out of ten but i do not believe it reached the xbox potential. It looked to me like a playstation 2 game. The graphics are the exact same as the ps2's version. That was a little disapointing for making die hard fans wait for this game after christmas assuming that it was going to have more bonuses and better graphics, buts really just the same.

I was also dissapointed with the warg battle. I thought it was going to be like the movie but instead you fought them kind of one at a time. You will understand what im talking about when you play the level.

What would of been really cool is to somehow fit in co-op. That would be the tightest thing. Maybe it could be an idea for The Return Of The King.

Another bad thing was that sometimes the music while your batteling would go off and on. Sometimes it would do it and sometimes it wouldn't. I must admit i kinda liked the fellowship of the ring better then this. People were complaining that it had to many bugs, but mine didn't have any. I probally liked it better because i loved that it went off the books. Reading the books several times made me really truly love tolkein's work.

And one last thing, if you decide to get the two towers or rent it, when you beat fangorn forest and they do the video after you beat it look at the trees, you will see a giant friend.

I say that this is worth buying if you loved the first two movies or love the books. But worth renting if you like slashing games.

Possibly the Best Game I Own

Lord of the Rings Two Towers is a great game supported by good graphics and exciting gameplay. If you liked the movie you should buy this game, because it is based on the movie. You can play as either Legolas, Aragorn, or Gimli. Each character is unique. Legolas is the archer equipped with sixty arrows and two elven blades that are used in a slicing action. Gimli is equipped with an ax, and throws small axes long distances for his long range weapon. (It takes more hacks to take out an enemy Urak-Hi with a sword or two blades than it does with an ax.) Aragorn is a mix of the two with a strong sword and a bow.

This game incorperates the major aspects of the Fellowship of the Ring as well, such as fighting Sauron at the base of Mt. Doom as Isildur, and encountering the giant sea monster outside the mines of moria. i won't give the rest of the game away, this is a game to buy. Have fun!

If you like LOTR, this is the game for you! this game has everything... fighting, action, and adventure! The cutscenes in the game are flawless, and the XBOX graphic designers have definitely gone to the X-treme! Even if you don't like LOTR, you will be rivited by it's awesome graphics and gameplay, you will be unable to stop playing this game! It is definitely one of the most fun games that i've ever played! if you are looking for a fun time, and all around entertainment, this is the game for you!
Buy this game, you will love it!

This game was generally a good fighting game. Only problem is, the moves can be repetitive early in the game, and more/longer levels could be added.

I loved this game. it was such a great experience when you work up a sweat kickin orc and uruk-hai butt. One of the best parts of the entire game is that the actual actors voice in this beautifully made, epic, awesome ragtag combination of a war video game. 5 stars for this, no doubt about it. And always remember, you can hold the fate of the world one day, whether you posess a ring of power or not.

A wee bit better than the PS2 version...

I picked this up for Xbox after already beating and unlocking everything in the PS2 version ... The two versions are essentially the same (no new 2 player mode or anything new like better animations, or music from the latest film) .... on my HDTV I definately see that the Xbox version is much cleaner looking in both the game and the movie cut scenes ... and something I noticed was that the characters reflections in the water look 200% better in the Xbox version ... the PS2 water reflections are pixely and fairly static - while on the Xbox, they distort very nicely in the rippling caused by the characters movements... I'm very glad I upgraded to the Xbox version - but I'm a LOTR obsessed nut-case...

This game by far the best graphics I have seen in a long time. the gameplay is fun and the controls arent to hard. It has both movies pulled into the game and the cutscenes come straight from the two towers and fellowship of the ring movies. I would recommend this game for everyone who is into action adventure games

I enjoyed this liscensed title very much. The graphics were insanely good. The control scheme worked out okay (4 out of 5 stars). If you've watched the LOTR movies a billion times, then you'd probably get bored of the sound quickly, but if you haven't, then it sounds okay. (...)
