Sure, the graphics could probably have been a bit better. Go see Call of Duty 2 in a store display and see the potential this system has but I do not agree with some of the more belligerent reviewers. Played on an HDTV and with digital surround sound it will make you feel almost part of the action allowing you to sense footsteps, dripping water, and most every other part of the environment including easily discernable acoustic differences in sound depending on the orientation of your character. For those who feel the controls are sluggish, try increasing your axis sensitivity. You will find quick movements like we all expect. It's not Halo, nor is it Golden Eye (N64), but then again it never purports to be. This game stands firmly on it's only two feet as an action shooter. Don't believe me, try clearing the Hong Kong night club with dual pistols and a shotgun; this is what a shooter is all about.

Man do I love this game! I love the cover ability. It's so awesome hiding behind a wall then poking your head out in sniper mode and blasting a cap in a dudes head. I've been hearing complaints about the amt of ammo it takes to kill people and i am saying they're fing crazy. it takes two to one shots to someones head to kill them so just aim for there head. Problem solved. I also love the amount of stats it keeps for you. I don't really care about the story and i really wouldnt expect one with this much action in the game. I havent beaten it yet. I am loving offline mutiplayer and am excited to try out online. I highly recommend this to any fan of halo or any other good fps games!

I've waited since 2000 for Rare to introduce Perfect Dark Zero. PD on N64 is, in my opinion, the best FPS game ever created followed closely by Goldeneye for N64. With all of the power of Xbox 360, the online play with Xbox Live, and 5 years to figure out how to pull it all together, the boys at Rare really laid an egg with PDZ. Let me say early on here, that PDZ is by no means a bad game. The graphics are spectacular, the online gameplay works well. But it's only a good game. The story, the skill level, the lack of ability to control every detail of multiplayer games, and the fact that there are no features to "unlock" really dissapoint. Many of the clever features from before are gone and so is the magic. I can only hope [with mixed emotion] that some downloadable content is in the works for this title to help it out. In no particular order, here are my biggest gripes:

1) Multiplayer options and features are limited. For example, you cannot create your own character. You have to pick a "team" and your character will be one of the 3 characters from that team. If you jump online into different games, the games may have pre selected different teams than your preference and you get stuck being some random character.

2)Upon further review, you do have control over the weapon sets.

3) In multiplayer games, there are only two teams -- us and them. On PD it was nice to have several teams playing at the same time [I have two brothers and the three of used to each pick a couple bots and do battle against each other].

4) The multiplayer scenarios are also limited. Gone are King of the hill, Pop a cap, Briefcase. I enjoy a good kill fest, but sometimes you want to need think a little higher up the brain stem. Although, the DarkOps games do a reasonable job of
filling this need.
5) Missing are all of the skill challenges and individual challenges that opened up new features, new characters, new weapons in multiplayer mode, and more challenges.

6) The game is short. I finished agent mode in two days. I was stunned that it was over so fast. I am only about halfway through secret agent mode; but, it is so far the same game only slightly more challenging. No new tasks. I won't ruin the story for you, but I could sum up the plot in two sentences.

7) The game projects a lighted path on the ground if you get stuck. Now, this isn't a horrible idea, but it gives you an idea of the skill level required to complete the game when you can follow the yellow brick road (in this case, it's blue). I'd like to be able to turn this off.

Perfect Dark Zero is a game you begin by going this is alright then you get PO-ED because the gameplay doesn't make sense. It seems to follow suit with KAMEO... another microsoft games release. I don't hate this title...it is kind of "filler" game when GHOST RECON ADVANCE WARFIGHTER, NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED, and FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 3 start to blur your eyes and you need something more tame to play. I recommend this game as a "Filler" in which you probably don't want to pay more than 20 bucks.

This game is for Five year olds...cheezy graphics....

This game is terrible. True it is sort of new and inventive. But gameplay is terrible, graphics are equiv. to regular Xbox. I have purchased this game in package just to get the Xbox 360. Also stay away from ridge racer (terrible driving game, the worst i have ever played) driving physics are non existent and gameplay is designed for five year olds. Perfect Dark Zero is also terrible. All of these games have received great reviews. I dont know how? All have graphics dated back to the original Xbox!!!! Hope this helps!

I love Perfect Dark and Perfect Dark Zero is a good addition. The graphics are out of this world and the game play is tight. Good all around.

The nail in the coffin for 3D shoot em' ups

Everything that could have been done wrong with a new FPS that would have the outstanding potential of an XBOX 360 at it's arsenal was done wrong.

Originally I had a feeling that this game would ressurect the tired old FPS industry for console gamers. The developers had more than enough time to come up with a gripping plot line, and at the same time exploit innovative in game dynamics that keep you wondering what waits for you around the corner.

This game had me wondering "Why in the hell am I shooting at a bunch of stupid robot spiders?" at the very beginning, but I decided to have faith in the game and what would come if I dealt with this obscenely tedious first level.

In this game if you shoot someone square in the forehead, they buckle in place for a split second and then resume their tactics as if a bullet had not just ripped through their skull. Shoot them in the neck, you see a spray of blood and they die, so at least the developers know something about the human anatomy. Whether a bullet bounces off of body armor or tears through flesh, your enemies will still react with the same booty dance of pain.

The game shows how little the developers cared that they were making a game for the XBOX 360, as it looks like it could easily have been on the N64. The game graphically is a short step above turok 3. The enemies will run to a position where they can cover and shoot you with the same basic run motion, it looks as if they're running with moon boots.

The game throws you stupid little missions, where you're held in a pretty tiny area. Not for lack of modern day video game technology, but for lack of the creativity needed to design a level in a first person shooter that rivals a level from wolfenstein 3D.

What is supposed to set this game apart from games like shadow warrior, or doom 3 is the fact that all around you is an ongoing in depth plot. The plot for this game is that you're chasing a "bad guy", and that's about it.

The big bad guy from this game is difficult to spot, mainly because he isn't given any kind of real introduction and he looks like a moron.

All in all this game punished me for ever investing money in rare, and I am eternally sorry for thinking that microsoft gave a damn about a gamers right to have fun.

Do not invest money into rare, microsoft deserves a second chance I guess. When the playstation 3 comes out, my 360 is going right in the trash.

I played this game and I liked it very much. That is why I gave it a "5." The game is good. It requires both an XBox 360 and electricity to make it work. Please be sure that you have both before you play it or you will not enjoy it as much as you would otherwise.

View controls lacking, boring plot

This game would have rocked PC faces in the late 90's/early 00's, but today I really expected more from a FPS. Graphics are good (hence my 3 star rating overall), but the controls are clunky at best. A lock-on feature would help; without, the view controls are especially slow and cumbersome.

Also, you will notice a strange smell during gameplay; let's just say the plot isn't very creative or original, that's all!

For die-hard fans, I'm sure there will be many hours of gameplay to be had, but before you buy this game, be sure to rent it (or better yet, download the free Demo) and see for yourself.
