fun but not outstanding

this game is fun to play co-op but single gets kinda boring and repetitive, live isnt so great eithier. The first thing to note is that the game does look good and some weapons have some really neat features like a thermal type view that allows you to see friendlys and enemies easily etc the only 2 vehicles in the game are fun to play with but the hover craft in my opinion needs a lil more speed or a speed burst.the story line is anything but entertaining and makes you wish you could forward through the cut-scenes. so overall i gave it a 3 because i like the weapons and i had fun on the jungle level but the charecter you play with feels slow and the cover option is glitchy at most and basically it almost feels like a chore starting a new mission after youve passed one..i felt like ..."oh no! more of this run gun shoot enemies 1000 times before they die" another thing thats glitchy about the game is melee, you can basically run into an enemy lose sight of him because you basically went right passed him because he becomes almost see trhough when you get to close its almost as if your fighting a shadow. the physics of the game are also glitchy if you shoot a enemy near a wall chances are he will die standing as if you pinned him to the wall with your bullets, its not worth 60 bucks...def a rental or wait till the price drops. :p graw anyone? lol

Perfect Dark Zero was an Xbox 360 launch title and a pretty fun one at that. Usually launch titles aren't the greatest games a system has to offer, but are all in all a fun experience. The gameplay of this game is pretty much the same as any other first person shooter with new features that implement a great gaming time. In this game, you can dual wield like weapons (ala Halo 2) and you can lean against walls and peak around corners. This adds a whole new element to this game and makes it a lot of fun. The single player campaign (although short) is a lot of fun and worth playing at least 2 times through; one time by yourself and once co-op over Xbox Live. While playing through this game I noticed how good the graphics were and such an improvement between the xbox and the 360. Some people say that the graphics are too shiny, but I think that it looks amazing and for a launch title it's definitely up to par. Things like lighting and wall textures really took me by surprise with how good they looked. The story of the game is, on the other hand, a bit strange, confusing, and just plain wacky. I didn't really mind this as much as I though because it was the gameplay itself that kept me playing and not the confusing storyline. Overall, the single player game gets a solid 8/10.

The multiplayer game didn't live up to all the hype that it had gotten. I was expecting my next "Halo 2" to keep me hooked to my 360 all night. This was not the case. Its not that the graphics turned me off, or that it was a whole new changed experience, the game just didn't play as well over xbox live as I would have hoped. The aiming felt off and it seemed like such luck whenever I got a kill. Overall, the multiplayer experience is pretty much up to personal opinion. I know a lot of people who love it, others, like myself, who find it strange and unbalanced. It's definitely a rent for those wanting to play through a fun single player campaign, and for those who like what its multiplayer has to offer then they will probably buy it.

Fun game

This is a fun game worth buying. The story is not bad, and the multiplayer is awesome! Now the game's like $25 which is a really good buy for such a great game.

As crazy as this may sound,if I was given a choice to either play Halo 3 online or the original Perfect Dark with three other people,I'd take Perfect Dark in a heartbeat. The multiplayer maps were great, the guns (and their second features) are incredible, and the ability to create your own character was the sweet icing on the cake. The original game absolutely destroyed my social life, along with a few of my friends as well.So if you can imagine I had extremely high hopes for Perfect Dark Zero, and in the end I was some what satisfied but more disappointed than anything.

For one the campaigns story is a JOKE.I know the original story wasn't anything special, but this is just terrible. The first half of the game you're running around with your dad,who is supposed to be literally the best secret agent in the entire world, yet he is constantly getting himself into trouble because he's so clumsy and seems to be a magnet for bullets.I don't know how this guy managed to survive all these years without Joanna, because she is saving his sorry life every other minute.
But for what the campaign lacks story wise,it makes up for in it's gameplay and graphics.A lot of the guns you know and love from the original make their appearance in this game.Don't expect to use them all to much in the campaign though because it is fairly short, and with a story like this you won't seem to mind.

The only other reason I can forgive this game is fun factor from the multiplayer.Even though Rare decided not to put maps from the original game, and it's other hit GoldenEye,it's still a blast.Especially by adding vehicles and jetpacks.

I don't regret buying this, even though it didn't live up to every little expectation I had.And for the low price it is now I'd recommend it to fans who haven't picked it up yet.

A decent entry title for 360

I remember Dark being a title for the N64. She was a British agent. Now - ta-da - she's an American holla back girl complete with the ostentatious clothing all undercover spies need when trying to stay in cover. PDZ is a fair entry. I loved the huge scope of certain levels, the subtle swaying of foliage and reflection upon leaves, and the hi-tech weapons. I disliked the horrible duck-n-cover feature, arbitrary way in which enemies would spot me despite being a mile away, confusing menus, and claylike look of characters. Buy it for $15, no more. PDZ's something fun to do while you're waiting for Mass Effect.

In November 2005 the XBOX 360 was launched and "Perfect Dark Zero" was one of the first games released for the console. Its certainly not perfect or one of the better XBOX 360 games but its a good game to say the least. This sequel to the original Perfect Dark video game "Perfect Dark 64" is as good but this second Perfect Dark is pretty much on its own.The game suffers from some major gameplay flaws but still manages to be entertaining.

I think the first point to discuss has to be the changes made to Joanna Dark, talk about a character getting physical changes, she`s been redesigned kind of like Lara Croft from Tom Raider, whatever they did they changed her a lot.I can only suppose they changed her physical appearance for male gamers, yet this has to be one of the most incredible changes made for one character.

You play as Joanna Dark,a special agent born in 2000 living in a futuristic world.Evil is everywhere you need to destroy it,a kind of comon storyline for today`s types of video games and one that frankly isn`t terrible.Still you can`t define a game by its storyline! What you do is basicly:follow the arrows, kill the bad guys, press this and that,go here,go there,do this and that, shoot this and that...way too repetitive, with few exceptions however as some times you will have to play your special agent role at full capacity, not to be seen and such tasks.

The gameplay is like the average FPS shooter, with few exceptions. The controls really screw up this game it would have been way better had the publisher taken the time to really make the most of out the controls, wich unfortunatly isn`t the case here. You can`t jump, and that sucks!Your character or any other characters, moves too slow, you actually run but you know that it could have been faster,so it makes a slower gamer that is a great pain.Besides that the controls are pretty average, shoot, reload, pick up a weapon, move, cover, climb are controls that are much like other games and there is no surprise on the gameplay. The scope you have with some guns is very effective and convenient to use the way it was set up.

The visuals are really good, even after a few years they still look beautifull after all that time. Its not the prettiest game ever but i think anyone should be satisfied with the graphics. The explosions, guns, characters and enviroments were are greatly designed, that is one thing they did very well for this game.Really good visuals.

Story mode is not exactly great, its below average actually,as repetitive as it gets for a game. The tasks they want you to complete are not any fun, theyre just kind of a pain and really boring. It will take a few hours but not more than 10 hours to complete, when its over you will be glad,be assured!

Perfect Dark Zero online is really good and fun,as it is normaly is for each mindless FPS.Its always a great deal of satisfaction to kill someone online, the game is better recomended its online and multiplayer modes than the story mode. Its classic you just pick your favourite map and guns sets and from there you can adjust teams, the number of bots, the modes and everything to your liking.

A great thing about PDZ is the amount of guns and weapons you can choose from, there a lot and each has uniques abilities and second uses, one gun can make a clone of you,the other can shoot bombs, its nice and different to see such secondary uses in a game.

Overral its not one of the better XBOX 360 games but everyone should at least try it once, some will like the game a lot and will buy.It really depends of your style of games and how you deal with the lower points of the games such as the gameplay, but everyone should like it online and multiplayer, wich are the best parts of the game.Had the controls and gameplay been changed for more convenient ones, this game would have killed.

Blast to play, a slightly lighter hearted shooter than Halo, similar game mechanics. Many weapons, toys to play with.

Just another half baked title

there is nothing special here I really don't know why this game go high reviews mainly a lot of creeping around and it has kind of a poor aiming system for the weapons.

I was a little concerned about buying this because I thought a girl character and the low price would make this a likely whimpy game, but in fact this game was great bang for the buck. A really good shooter that was good fun and very reasonably priced.
