The title says it all. This game is SOOO FUNNY! For instance,
Homer will be driving around (in his underwear :0 ) and will run
into someone's car and shout out ''I have no insurance!''

If you want to laugh your head off,try this game.

Yet another Simpson game and yet another dissapointment....If that's what you were thinking then you are definitaly wrong. This game IS The best Simpsons Game Ever. Basically all of The Simpsons Games that have come out were a big dissapointment and the fact that I actually bought the previous games was because I was a Simpsons fan.

Ok anyway lets get on to the review. This game really tried to copy the gameplay of "Grand Theft Auto" but it has not come close. The game just lacks the true gameplay of GTA but that doesn't mean that this still isn't a good game. Anyways here is the review brought up into 3 sections (graphics, sound, gameplay)

Graphics-At first when I played the game I was amazed with the Graphics and how descriptive it was from the T.V. Show. You can't miss one thing here it's just like Springfield as you would imagine it.

Sound-The game has the actual Simpsons cast and they do a very good job with the voice acting.

Gameplay-Now this is the part where the game really suffers. The game is brought up with 7 big levels with many missions in each. In each level, you get a different character, this is how the rotation goes:

Level 1-Homer
Level 2-Bart
Level 3-Lisa
Level 4-Marge
Level 5-Apu
Level 6-Bart(again)
Level 7-Homer(again)

One thing that bothers me about this is that you get Bart and Homer again and there are 4 levels here with the same place. Another thing that is weak about the gameplay is that many of these levels are so repetitive and boring. Most of the missions you either have to get to a place in a certain amount of time, destroying cars, gathering items, etc. After you are done beating the game, the game still gives you stuff to do such as collecting cards, finding gags, destroying wasps, unlocking cars, etc.

Final Ratings:
Sound- 8/10
Graphics- 10/10
Gameplay- 6/10
Replayability- 8/10
Final- 5/10 (3/5)

Recommendation (Rent or Buy)-If you are a Simpsons fan then I strongly suggest that you go out and buy this game. If you aren't a Simpsons fan, I would go out and rent this game or rather just stay away from it.

im lovin it!!!!!!!

BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What are you talking about people who think it's a disappointment?! This game is awesome! There is secret places, you can purchase cool cars, and buy funny clothes! Like McDonald's says, "I'M LOVIN' IT!!!!!" It is a whole lot better than Road Rage. I thought that was disappointing. BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a fun game with a lot of simpsons' style of humor, though most of it Is probably not suitable for young kids. One of the funniest sayings in the game is "when will they ever learn, video games don't kill people, they kill their minds (Bart)."
Some missions are incredibly difficult like this one mission where you have to destroy 4 or 5 cars within a time limit. However, you get some pretty cool cars (like a doughnut truck [level 3]) and costumes (like Homer with a donut for a head [level 7]) in exchange.
There are also bonus tracks (where you can race your friends), which are unlocked by getting cards hidden in the levels (there are 7 on each level). The graphics are a bit slow sometimes and the camera is also a bit awkward. The sound is nothing special. The controls are really simple to use and are easy to master. If you played Road Rage you'll feel at home with the driving, but the ability to walk around makes it better. Overall, it's a really good game that you have to rent.

Score (5.0=best)
Graphics: 4.0
Control: 5.0
Sound: 3.5
Extras: 4.5
Difficulty: (mostly) moderate-hard
Overall: 4.5

Best Simpsons game made...but that's not saying too much...

This is the best Simpsons game made. Some people said when it came out that it was like Grand Theft Auto 3 but it's not. It's true you do a lot of driving around the city but the game is more like Simpsons Road Rage with missions added then Grand Theft Auto. Actually they should have named this game "Simpsons Hunt and Gather" since that is what most of the missions are about. My only gripe about this game is the difficulty goes from ridiculously easy to ridiculously hard and back to ridiculously easy very fast. Still, it's not worth buying unless you can get it for less the $20. If you can't, then rent it.

GREAT GAME!

this game is very fun, you can drive cars, kick people, buy cars, collect cards, and lots of other stuff. you can be Bart, Lisa, Homer, Marge, and even Apu! this game is even written by the simpsons writers and voiced by the people that do the simpsons voices! you can find some people walking around springfield that you see in the simpsons show! this game gets 5 stars!

Slight improvement

This game was rather fun, but was simple to gather money to purchase things. All you had to do was hunt down the Wasp Cameras and smash boxes. With the right code you could smash and blow up cars but then you trigger a Hit and Run which the music is annoying, sounds like a 70's cop chase. The levels had their difficulty but in the end, if you beat it, it has a pretty funny ending. It was more of a search and find items type of game, you go around collecting cards and unlocking vehicles and when you beat it, it isnt worth playing again. The downside to it, is when you collect each card you unlock a mini game which is what it says... you choose your character and your vehicle and drive around a tiny track in a tiny car, the steering sucks and really was pointless to add it in the first place.

Repetition.. repetition...

Simpsons Hit & Run deserves kudos for its great graphics, sound and resemblance to the tv-series. It's fun in the beginning.

After playing for a while though, the repetitive nature of the game becomes evident. For example, you have just one minute and thirty seconds to get somewhere, and you have to race like heck. It is funny in the beginning, but then it gets frustrating. About every second task is a race against the time, and the time is really really pushed. It gets so frustrating to race, race and race against time.. even for the most stupid objectives, that it becomes a truly frustrating game. With such great graphics, why not vary some more?

I'm dead tired of timed races and to have to start over and over again for being a second or two too late.

Go watch another Simpsons episode over again instead.

boring, boring, and BORING

Simpsons mixed with GTA.....sounds great, right?? That's what I thought until I spent several days playing the exact same three missions over and over.....and over again. Every single missions is either one of three things: racing someone, hiting something with your car, or getting somewhere by a certain time. The fact that its set in Springfield is its only saving grace, as gameplay is marginal at best. This is a rental if I've ever seen one.....don't waste your money.

GTA style...U'll have endless fun watching Homer rampaging and saying funny catchy remarks. Hands down the best Simpsons game made to date. This is a game worth buying. The fun factor never gets dull. Go have a Cow Man!!!!
