I bought a gameboy advance for a long trip i was taking, i wanted to choose a game that would hold its value. I checked many online game review sites and found that this game was on the top of many lists. I bought this game and the gameboy (my only game). I have not tried any other gameboy advance games, but this one has the quality that replay value that I wanted for $30. If you liked the ogre battle series or Final Fantasy Tactics for PS, get this one.

I got this game on X-mas day and a pack of Duracell batteries. This game had destroyed 8 batteries on my gameboy advance, I havent put it down yet! This is a very good challenging game quite simalar to Final Fantasy Tactics, only a lot more challenging and a few less job classes. Quest mode and verses are amazing additions ta a tactical game, and also has a great storyline constantly unfolding. I still havent beaten it, so off I go!

Greatest Game On Portable

I first played this type of game (strategy rpg) on playstation. It was a game called Final Fantasy Tactics, which I bought because I was a Final Fantasy fanatic. This game seems very similar to it, but it's unbelievable how large of a game can fit on such a small cartridge! The battlefields in this game are huge!!! For originality, I give it a "1". But it is HECKA fun, it has an extra game mode, you can connect with a friend to trade items or battle your characters against one another to test how well you have developed your own characters. It's close to a perfect game (for a portable).

This review is actually by Samuel Stephens, known by his Tactics Ogre comrades as Almonihah.

Tactics Ogre is most definately a great game. The gameplay is great, because it is very detailed, but if you don't like all the different factors affecting your characters, you can just ignore half of them and still win! I have played many strategy games, and this one is definately up there. The game has RPG elements, too, but I think of it more as a strategy game, if simply because that is what I like more. Now, if Atlus can just make either a Tactics Ogre or Ogre Battle for Playstation 2 or PC. Then, well, I don't know, maybe they shouldn't, because then I could never play games again, since none of them would be as good.

If you are a fan of Final Fantasy tactics, this is the game for you. A comprehensive battle system and intriguing story provide for countless hours of gameplay, and the head-to-head mode is a great break from the regular game. Quite simply the best strategy game on game boy advance!A must have for any strategy game fan.

This is what GBA is made for, strategy/rpgs, am sooo glad this has came out. What I best love bout this is the ability to change classes. Want an army of ninjas? Not a problem, or a conclave of wizards, work at it and you'll get there in time, its great. Now I just can't wait to see how Final Fantasy Tactics look on the GBA. It will most likely look like this. Now only if they can bring out the classic rpg's for GBA...
