Finaly Coming to America!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 5 / 19

Tactics Oger is a asome game. I own the super nintendo version, was never translated from japanese. I can tell that the game has a rich story line, and (even though I cant under stand what they are saying) the battles are fun and interesting. Most of the people who worked on this game later went on to create Final Fantasy Tactics wich has an Idenical battle system. I have been wating for them to create a (translated) GBA port for Tactics Oger Sence the GBA came out, finaly my wish has come true.

A great game. It has the casting abilities as well as the magic of Golden sun. It also has the items like healing items and different weapons you can outfit your character with. It is turn based like Advance wars and you move your characters on a grig system. The tile movement as well as short and long range units are also shared in advance wars. It also has qualities all it's own. All in all, a good game.

Just pointing out the Super Famicom version of Tactics Ogre was tranlated. It appeared on the PSX. This game is a completely different, with at least one recurring character(though you'll probably never guess who)

Tactics Ogre Chapter 6.5

Tactics Ogre the knight of lodis is the game that in the story comes after Ogre Battle 64 and before the SNES version that was only relested in Japan. It uses almost the same combat form except now they have turns where you go and then you opponent and then you and in the original you took turns based on Wait Time(WT). WT is determined by what actions you made in you last turn so if you just walked and didnt attack you might (depending on speed) go before somebody who went before you last turn. Because this game dosen't have WT i gave it a 4 star rating but i still like the plot of the story and how they take a deaper look into the Holy Lodis Empire which you meet in Ogre Battle 64.

The gameboy advance has what I believe only a limited amount of strategic games (if one does not include the gameboy color and gameboy games).

Aside from Advance Wars, this is a great tactical roleplaying game. The game is very similar to the ogre tactics (name may be incorrect) from the playstation if not the same. The characters look very well done and are translated nicely for the small color screen.

The game mechanics is well done and one can get used to how to equip characters and transfer items to others after a few attempts. The emblem concept works well and the various abilities and the requirements to change classes are nicely done as well.

If you like Final Fantasy Tactics (which also rummored to be coming to this system but not real soon), then this game is for you. If you never tried Final Fantasy Tactics but like tactical roleplaying similar to the Shining Force Series where you can decide where the character's move in a 3D-type lanscape (but not in the 1st person view), then this game has a BUY rating from me.

Again, buy this game, buy advance wars, mario cart and buy street fighter for the game boy advance...these four games you can't go wrong with.

I got a copy and this is a very good game. It isn't the Super Falcion version but its still very good. Also I would think it could have been better if they sticked with the previous system and not a turn based on because it made sence that if you didn't do anything in one turn you would go quicker the next because you didn't use up stamina. It helped because if you are tring to reach a group of archers they attack and walk away which gives them a lot of time to wait, while you run up at them only which means you are using less actions and should go again before them. This makes the game a little harder but you only have 8 people in your army which lowers the amount you have to kill by 2(also lowers your army size but I don't really mind). Other than that this is a very good game because of its well thought out story line and characters.
