I never expected anything graphicaly good looking on dreamcast
when playing so much on the Playstation 2 and looking at how
slow the processing is on dreamcast when you play crazy taxi 2,
but this game just pushed all the power that the Dreamcast had and made a game that really looks GOOD! I had bought crazy taxi
#1 for playstation 2 then later my friend was selling his dreamcast in order to buy a playstation 2 so I bought it from him with crazy taxi #2. I took a good look at the buildings and
you could tell how slow the processing was on Dreamcast,so i thought thats what I should expect to see on Dreamcast but when I played this game I was AMAZED!... The graphics were just as good loking as Playstation 2 (to bad for my friend)

The best Fighting game on the DC that rivals Soul Calibur

I won't go into all the GREAT stuff in this game, I think all the other reviews touch on various parts of the game that make it unique and SUPERB!!

However, if you are playing SOLO there is only so much you can do... story mode lasts 5 minutes (that's if you have a BAD day) and you can go through with every character in an hour or two! The sparring area gets REALLY old REALLY fast once you know most of the moves, and virtually the only part of the game that is of any difficulty solo is the survivor mode (which i have yet to complete.) Everything else is basically simple, quick run through and your done.

BUT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE FRIENDS!!! *smile* Remember, it's the BEST multiplayer fighter on the market.

Wanted Dead or Alive

This is my favorite game on the dreamcast. It has the best graphics that I have seen from any fighting game. The control is excellent. The characters moves are spectacular and easy to learn. The stages are interactive and amazing especially when you can knock somebody of a cliff on one stage and wind up at another. Tag battle is unique, something that you do not see in most other fighting games. If this game was as sophisticated as Soul Calibur then it would have been the best game by far that I have ever played. This includes arcade and home games.

A Fighter game for people who don't like Fighters

I've been a gamer since the Atari days. During the NES era, I turned to PC gaming and stuck pretty much there until the last few years. Sick of the sim-heavy games (& many Doom clones) in the PC world; I missed the faster arcade-style games of the console world. So I got a Dreamcast.

I had really disliked Fighter games whenever I played them before. The learning curve was too much for what was essentially a quick-play style game. (Good moves typically involve memorizing long combos of individual moves)

After playing a rented copy of DOA2 I quickly went out and bought a copy. It is easy to pick up the fighting system, and you can quickly find yourself kicking serious butt. While the special moves still require memorizing combos, they don't seem as hard as other games, and they're not required to be able to beat the first few levels.

This is the one game in my DC collection that I keep coming back to and playing.

One hell of a fighting game

I loved the original Dead or Alive for Playstation, and the first time I laid my eyes on Dead or Alive 2 for the Dreamcast I was drooling. The game is that damn good. The graphics are fantastic, the characters look so real and they are rendered beautifully by the DC's awesome graphic processing power (even the bouncing breasts look more impressive). The game itself is one in a million, the moves are easy to execute and there are a lot of extras that will keep you busy for a long time. This is the second best fighting game on DC, the best is Soul Calibur, I recommend getting both of them, they're worth buying a Dreamcast on their own.

Not bad

Almost a perfect fighting game ever created on Dreamcast except that the story sucks. Only bad thing.

Major Butt Kicking

i was hooked on Tekken, but not anymore. DOA2 just kicks Tekken's butt. altho both are very similar. i'd rather pick DOA2. Tekken and DOA2 both have their own stories, fighting, a long-haired red head (Hwarong and Ein), a Chinese girl (Xiao-Yu and Lei-fang), and a few whatnots. but DOA2 has better graphics and sound. Tekken lacks that. altho Tekken has nice background songs, it gets boring after hearing it over and over again (trust me on that one). to sum it up, BUY DEAD OR ALIVE 2.

Endless fun!

Okay, I'll admit it. I bought this game primarily because I heard it has 'jubbling breasts' (the term used by the developer during promotion) and I love unique games. But after having played it, I gotta say this is one fantastic fighting game! It even has counter-moves, something I have not seen before. Fluid movement, awesome sound effects and multi-tiered levels don't hurt either. The women in the game are bar-none the most beautiful I have ever seen in any game. So yes, the sex appeal is a big part of this, but even if that part was removed, the game would stand on its own with no problem. Also, the 'jubbling' can be turned up if you so desire. But even then, it is not overdone. They did use some taste when designing this. A fine, colorful, easy to learn but hard to master game that is destined to be a classic. Get it while you can.

ofcourse the best pure DC fighting game out there

This is the best pure DC fighting game. also.. beat SC. Why>?
1 more realistic
2 graphics
3 counter moves
4 characters
5 level
6 ( well.. lets just say, DOA2 beats SC in every way)

This is a must get!
