The best wrestling game on the market today.

This game is without a doubt the best wrestling game on the market on any console. Upon playing it the game just shines with fun and joy. The graphics are excellent and it's almost as good as the Playstation can squeeze out. The sounds of during gameplay are made up of some medium-hard rock and the sound of the mat as you execute a move. The gameplay is very easy to get into yet takes a while to master. This game sports all of the top WWF Superstars from main eventer The Rock to jobber Funaki, from the lightweight Crash Holly to the super-heavyweight Viscera. Each wrestler has their own signiture moves and all of the moves are extrememly well detailed. Everything from The Rock throwing off his elbow pad into the crowd to Scotty Too Hotty and his wacky Worm. The game has all the game modes that you can think of from the basic to all the gimmick matches that have been seen of WWF TV in the past few years including Hell in a Cell, Ladder Match, TLC Match, Casket Match and Table Matches. The season mode captures all the events that has happened in the past year. The only down side that I can see to the game is the loading times, however I don't really mind it considering after the loading times you'll be getting the best wrestling game experience. People have complained about the wrestlers not selling their moves or getting up too soon after a move however it is a Arcade Wrestling game, not a Wrestling Simulator. Conclusion is if you have a Playstation, a wrestling fan and don't own this game then you better get out to the nearest game store now and buy this game, you will not be disappointed.

this the best wwf game i ever played in my life the matches are very cool. this game has all the wwf superstars in it .i say u need to get your hands on one of before its to late.

This is the best wrestling game I have ever played. The only draw back that I can think of is all the loading time. It can get frusterating at times especially during the Royal Rumble. I am 3 years into my season and have unlocked numerous characters from Stone Cold, Cactus Jack, Mick Foley, Mean Street Posse to even The Stooges and Michael Cole. All the different options and matches make this the most addicting game I have ever purchased. You never want to stop playing your season because you want to know what is going to happen next. It kind of bothered me that I had to fight Benoit like 5-7 times in a row, but its ok. The story lines make it fun and things can change if u know how(ADD A MANAGER TO YOUR WRESTLER OR CREATE A STABLE). I love this game and reccomend it to wrestling fans everywhere and I promise that you will never e-e-e-e-e-ever find a better wrestling game.

The game is good, but it's loading times stink (thanks THQ for at least softening the wait with wrestlers pics, however it's the main reason for being rated Teen) and the season mode is a long wait with a CAW, because you just wait and wait and wait, unless you cheat. and the Audio is repetitive. Don't get me wrong it's a great game, with a couple problems, but the season mode's in depth, and it's fun to take a CAW, and fight hardcore against SMH, then stinkface like crazy! so it's good, but has problems.

WWF Smackdown 2 is the best wrestling game i have ever played, and the best playstation wrestling game to boot. From the endless choices of match modes ex. TLC match, casket match, and the famous HELL IN A CELL match. it has a complex create a player mode that enables you to fine tune your player to the letter. Another thing, the backstage areas. There are over 7 diffrent areas in the back you can go into, you can start in the ring and work your way back to the parking lot or visa versa. Also, there are 50 WWF superstars that will keep you enthralwed for hours. THQ stepped up a notch grom the first to make an awesome swqual that in my opinion is better than the first.

While the lastest and greatest wrestling game for playstation is much improved, it may be just a little too advanced for playstation, as it seems all you do is look at pictures of your favorite wrestlers while the graphics are constantly loading. Once you actually get into the matches though, the game play is pretty fun, with all the special moves of each wrestler. There is a need for commentary from the real announcers to give this game a more realistic feel. Overall a game that I can't wait to see on Playstation2, because all the loading time won't be there anymore.

This game has everything, including like 70ish wrestlers if you unlock them all. The matches like cell,table,casket,ladder,slobber-knocker (although i dont know what it is), cage, regular, battle royal, royal rumble are awesome. The create a wrestler is a HUGE improvment over Smackdown 1. It even has Golddust and Jeff Jarrets heads in it. The variety of faces, eyes, clothes is amazing. You can also change the color unlike Smackdown 1 where you can't change the colors .... The one thing that I HATE is having Stone Cold (WHAT?) the best wrestler ever (WHAT?) is an hidden wrestler (WHAT?) However, the Rock, Undertaker, Kane, and all the other great wrestlers in the game. In season mode, the wrestlers can't talk. Which is a piece of bull. The load times are really slow and can have you squirming around, waiting for a match. The signature moves (aka the worm, stone cold stunner, people's elbow) are awesome. The entrance music disappointed me cause although the music is correct, the entrances are short and plain stupid. you can barely see the managers when your kane,x-pac, and all that. plus theres no alliance wrestlers, which would have been much more fun. I mean you have Essa Rios on the list, i mean c'mon! So I like the matches and all but some stuff [is not good]. (sorry thq). oh yeah, i'm rating this 3.6, not the full 4

From its characters, to its matches, SmackDown 2 is truly a great game. It is THE greatest game played.

this is a really a good game better then SD1 i read some reviews of people saying that this is a bad game they are right!!
the pictures that come in the loading are good except for
debra the Kat lita etc. these pictures really spoil the child
so i recommend that this is game of those who are 14 and above.
this goes for the parents who are not taking that much care.

Parental guidence is extremely needed.

This is the coolest wrestling game game THQ has ever made excluding the new SMACKDOWN 3 - JUST BRING IT.
No Mercy stinks compared to SM2. Why? Here's why. The graphics may not be as good and not much texture but then,... what do you expect? It's PS1. The loading time is pretty slow but there are poster pictures of Superstars with their signatures on the backround. The game is missing the biggest superstar in the WWF.
Where's the Big Show? You gotta create him? What? Yep, that's what I said, you gotta create him. At least that's what I think.
They are also missing something else from SM1, Pre-season. But wait, the season mode makes up for everything. The story lines are exactly like on TV. But that way your created superstar gets a smaller chance of getting a title shot. Too bad. Well, enough about the bad things. Ther are 10000's of new features. More matches than No Mercy. You can do what Jeff does. Yep. In a TLC match you can throw your opponent on the table when he is dizzy, climb up the ladder and do the Swaton bomb off the top of the ladder crushing the opponent and the table. KO. You win. Or spear somebody from the top of the ladder like Edge. Hahaha!
To make things better you can put the opponent on the commentary table, climb up the Heck in a Cell and do a moonsault off it.
When you choke toss the opponent he will fly out of the ring.
The Create a Superstar has 2 modes.
1. Standard like SM1
2. Advanced like Attitude
The gameplay is faster than SM1. The backstage is so big that I got lost the 1st time I played. You can unlock a secret place which is WWF NEW YORK. You know, where Micheal Cole hosts SUNDAY NIGHT heAT. Yeah. There is a kitchen where you can do the rock bottom through the steel tables or get hit by a car outside the streets of NY. Ahhh, too much cool things in this game to write about. Oh, oh you can drive a lift-car and crash into your opponent. And Rikishi does his Stink-face and the Undertaker does the last ride and you can look at your moves being done on a 3D character when choosing your moves. You can climb up to the top of the cage and do a bodyslam on your opponent. Tou can win Mike Cole, Cactus Jack, Mick Foley and some other people who look like other wrestlers from ECW, WCW, commentators from the WWF like THE KING. Kurt Angle unfortunately does not do his Anklelock. BOOOOOOOOO. Well I will stop now since I'm getting tired writing all this but I hope this review will help you.
So JUST BUY IT ! If you smeeeellll la la la la what the rock,......is cookin!
