I've seen reviews about the game and movies and screenshots and i will be first in line to buy it at toysrus. The game features some modes you could not have imagined on sd2. There is the tag team table match, ladder match, hardcore match,HIAC match, special guest referee, new ppv, etc. I also think that this game is appropriate for kids there is no blood wich is why i will let my kid buy it. I would have to say after taking a look at the reviews i would let my 11 year old son buy it even though im not a fan of the wwf or wrestling all together.

Best grappler for the PSX by far

To be honest, this game couldn't have met my expectations no matter how great it was. It's easily better than the original for the beefed up creation features alone, and it's got all the new faces in there (sans Raven, whom I've already created ; )) with a very up-to-date roster. My game has had some problems with the intro videos eg; playing Too Cool's music when Tazz comes out, or playing someone else's music when someone else comes out. I don't know if this is a widespread problem, or not. The ladder matches are good fun, but the tables need to be broken in different ways. The two main points of improvement for Smackdown 3 (on PS2): Audio commentary, and more moves. This game suffers from it's low moveset, although the animations and colission detection are nearly flawless. Recommendation to buy!

Smackdown 2, better than the first?

There are many ways THQ has improved Smackdown 2 from the original Smackdown. I greatly enjoyed the new TLC and Table matches, not to mention my favorite, the Hell in the Cell. I do wish that THQ would incorporate some of the ideas that Acclaim had in their original WWF games. I think if you took the features of Acclaim's WWF Attitude, and THQ's Smackdown 2, and combined them, you would have an excellent Wrestling game. For the "DIE HARD" WWF fan such as myself, aspects such as the entrances, and the wrestler's authentic gestures are very important. If they decide to come out with a Smackdown 3, I think they should concentrate a bit more on improving the entrances, and the oh so important Create a wrestler mode. Find a way to extend the entrances, and throw in the "true" fireworks, and the game will explode! Good job this time around, but there is still plenty of room for improvement!

I loved this game and I have gotten hours upon hours of fun out of it. It has ladder matchs, table matches, hardcore matches, and even Hell in a Cell matches! It is a huge improvement from its predecessor. With what seems like an endless supply of wrestlers, and the ability to create your own superstar, this game is a must have for wrestling fans. There are real entrance videos and music with signature moves, which make it seem real.

Buy this Game!

Well the game is good..... lots of players....but here are some cons............ lots of them.....
1) They walk like girls.
2) The weapons dont do anything.
3) They dont bleed. After all the beatings.
4) If you fall of the top rope or the hell in the cell. They will get right back up. with out any damage.
5)The season is soooo boaring..... my cousins fell a sleep, when i was playing it.
6)Every time when micel cole interviews some one, after the interview he will srug like he has no idea of what the hell is going on.
AND I COULD GO ON.................
BUT LETS STOP..........CAUSE I AM TIERD OF TELLING THE TRUTH TO THE WORLD AND SAVING PEOPLE FROM THIS CRAP...... UR WELLCOME. :-)

well so far i have found that the create a wrestler mode is far superior to that of its preceeding (smackdown!) and also i found that the BEST FEATURE IN THE GAME is the ability to slam people through the mat and STACK UP TABLE AFTER TABLE AFTER TABLE! the season mode if possible is better than the first. lastly i connot believe that finally the hell in a cell match is heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrree!

Fantastic season mode, dozens of wrestlers and match types

This is THQýs fifth wrestling game for the Playstation. Since the original wrestling game they have come a long way, as now there are dozens of wrestlers like Steve Austin, the Rock, the Undertaker, Mankind and the Hardy Boyz featured in the game, but there are also dozens of match types, like ladder matches, casket matches, cage matches, table matches, tag team matches, handicapped matches, iron man matches, guest referee matches and so on! Another fantastic thing about the game are the details, like videos that play when wrestlers to come down to the ring. There are several different arenas to wrestle in, anything from the Smackdown and Raw arenas to Wrestlemania and Judgement Day (pay-per-view) arenas! The fans are also so detailed, they hold up signs based on who is wrestling in the current match. With all of that out of the way, the ýseasoný mode is the best thing about the game. With a season mode, you chose a wrestler (you can chose a different wrestler during the season) and play an entire continuous year of WWF action. Wrestling week-by-week working your way up the ladder to the seven different WWF championships. There are even story lines to follow in the season, such as injuries, run-ins and the evil plots of the WWFýs owner Vince McMahon!

"The rock says this game is cool!" If you smell what the rock is cookin' then you'll get this game! You can play in Hell in a Cell, casket, even pile drive someone through a table! Play as Mark Henry "Sexual Chocolate", Ivory, Dean Malenko and much more! It's just sad they didn't include K-Kwik. You can do finishers like the People's Elbow, from The Rock. This is a secret but you can even do, the Rock Bottom! You can have table matches and if you do, I reccomend either Buh Buh Ray Dudley or, D-Von Dudley. 'Cause their the Table Dudes. It's just a bummer that Billy Gunn is secret. You can make stables, Pay-Per-Views, Wrestlers, Managers, and even taunts! And if you use Al Snow in Hardcore he'll come out with the head!

great for die hard wwf fans!

it's like smackdown 1 but twice as good, ladder matches, table matches, alot more customizable options such as the create a wrestler go into more detail. the graphics are pretty sharp compared to other playstation games i have seen. two things trouble me about the game, the load times are long and when you play season mode even if you skip a match you have to watch the power bars and wait while some scenes to load that really aren't worth waiting for, otherwise it's a pretty decent game for tru hardcore wwf fans, I think you can get your money's worth if you can't get enough of wwf like me. if you have the old smackdown it takes about a week to get used to some changes in the game (like the increased AI).
