The game is by far the best out of the harry potter line of games, but their still missing the most important part of the book franchise, like the actual story!!!

This is fun, but way to easy. MY LITTLE 8YEAR OLD BROTHER BEAT IT WITHIN A WEEK! Still it's prety fun. The bummers are:

1.You start out with ONE spell at the beginning. Potter's the boy who lived! He knows more than that.

2.The spell, "Alohamora" unlocks like one chest with a boogie flavored bean! Whoop-Dee-Doo!

3.You get these ballons at one point that are supposed to be good distraction...THEY DON'T DO SQUAT!

I hope you enjoyed this review. Rent this game before you actuly buy it.

This game had so much potential with break through graphics and great game play. The potential was destroyed by a few factors

-load times, load times, load times! every where you go it loads for 30 seconds (when in Diagon Alley every shop I step in it loads!

-CAMERA ANGLES tbis was the worst thing about this game its camera angles are very bad and it is hard sometimes to make jumps etc. if you dont have a good camera angle

-way to short! there are only like 5 days you attend hogwarts

-VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY DIFFICULT PUZZLES!! some of the puzzles took me like 1 hour to figure out. This game is definetely for children over the age of 10 i would say for kids under 10 much to difficult

This game was terrible and unless Harry Potter is your life (i feel for you) dont buy this game and dont even waste $$$$$ renting I luckily returned (YES!!)

Just like Zelda except not nearly as good.

Harry Potter: The Chamber of Secrets follows the same controlls and dungeon themes as The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker, yet does not do it nearly as well. First off, the voice acting is somewhat bad (which might have been the reason TLOZ:WW wanted to avoid voices). The controlls can be frustrating at times. A good example is when you try to lock onto an enemy, you have to be straight in from of it. Another good example is that during a certain dungeon, you have to jump from one platform to another. This seemingly simple task is frustrated by the fact that you have to jump perfectly straight, or you wont reach the ledge.
The biggest problem, however, it the annoying dungeons. Exploring Hogwarts basically follows this pattern. Wake up, goto class, do annoying dungeon, get spell, play quiddich, rest until night, do annoying stealth puzzle and go to sleep. The spell are equally as repettative. Each spell has about one use and that is about it.
I think I've harped on the game enough. There are a few good qualities about the game. The fact that it is Harry Potter will make it enjoyable if you are a die hard Potter fan. This is unlikely however because I am too a Potter fan, but did not like this game. The other good quality it that, even though it does it poorly, it copies off of the proven control system of zelda.

poorly designed, too easy

poorly designed game, with only a few levels, a few simple workarounds to obtain items, and very little interaction with the other characters.

Cool, but not the best

This is the first Harry Potter GameCube Game (actualy the first one at all) that I've ever won. That's not suprising, since it is SOOOOOOOOOO easy. If you want a nice, long game, DON'T GET THIS ONE. It took me uhhhhh, 4 DAYS to WIN it. But it is great for beginners. So, basicly if you want a game that takes time, DO NOT BUY THIS ONE.

not really good, but playable

this game was good, fairly average, with some good parts, and a lot of bad parts. Quidditch was a lot of fun, but you only get to control the seeker, Harry. The mini-games got boring, but before they did they were fun. All aspects of the game are easy, except for the bosses, since no direction is given on how to kill them. Once you figure that out though, its a breeze. That is, unless the camera angle doesnt trick you into running off a cliff or something. This game had the potential to be really good, and I feel the story is well adapted, but it was very uneven and should have been made with controls more like windwaker. This might be a good game for a beginner, but some parts are a little scary. Like aragog, or the crazy attacking bookshelf. Id say, if you rent this for 3 days, youll probably beat it, but its hardly worth the time, except quidditch

The game is ok

this game is pretty fun. but one problem is, that the toughest challenge is the first one. Yes, I am talking about the whomping willow. It took me and a friend about an hour to figure it out. the other hard part is the deuls. it is extremely hard to beat malfoy the first time and you cant save the game until you do. So, finishing the expelliarmus challange is a breeze for me. but I love the fact that you can run around hogwarts and go in the classrooms and everything. I would defently recomend buying this game. but if you really want something worth your money, get this game for Gameboy color.

I used to like Harry Potter!

The excellent graphics aside, this is the absolute worst game I have EVER played. This ranks right up there with "Master Chu and the Drunkard Hu." Anyone who has ever seen this game will know exactly what I mean.

First, lets talk about the gameplay, it takes quite a while for any button pressed to respond, you have to try everything 3 or 4 times before it works. The character spins around at the slightest touch of the stick. Although there is targeting available, the game seems to fire in whatever direction it wants. The only redeeming quality here is that you can shoot the weaslys, and they say "Harry, cut that out."

Now, the plot, it is horrible. YOU DON'T GET TO FLY THE CAR, but you spend about 10 minutes running around the whomping willow. It makes no sense. Harry Potter, the famous hero, can shoot magic, but he can't jump, give me a break.

Okay, to sum it up, each level is quite repetitious, too complicated for children and too inane for adults. This game is not a good buy, if you want a fantasy adventure get "Zelda: The Wind Waker," its truly incredible, graphics wise as well as in gameplay and originality. Don't waste your money on another poor atempt to capitalize on the enormously popular (and excellent) childrens book series.
