I bought this game for one reason. CAPCOM. Capcom make the best games, except those cheap fighters, and Resident Evil:CV is the best yet. I don't know why all of these people say this game is bad, it GOOD! Sure you get stuck and you have to look around for that one item, that's the idea. Listen, if you want a good and scary game, get RE:CV. It is definitly worth $50.

Man, does this game kick ass. I'm starting on disk 2, and is it cool! Nemesis was disappointing compared to this. Forget the still backgrounds on the Playstation, this is the way the RE series should look. Bravo.

the pinnacle of the resident evil franchise!

i just purchased this game last night and i have to say that i am already blown away by the impressive graphics and gameplay. the story so far is very well presented, and i cannot wait to delve further into the game. the beginning fmv is one of the best ever presented in a video game. squaresoft is not the only fmv company on the block! capcom has really outdone themselves with this game. one minor flaw that does come to mind is the exclusion of the quick dodge move that was in re3. that aside, the game is fantastic. i just hope that a sequel is in the works for the dreamcast. if not, i'm sure it will be on another platform. if you are thinking of purchasing this game, think no more. an instant classic. period.

Absolutely the best!

I bought a Dreamcast about two months ago. I bought it because I heard Veronica was so excellent. And they were right! This game really shows off what the dreamcast can do! The first thing I did when I got this game is I sat down, turned the lights off and popped it in! This game makes you jump on certain parts because it's so scary. If you have a Dreamcast I suggest you get this game.

Dreamcast Brings True Horror to the Resident Evil Saga

If you buy one game this year, RE:Code Veronica is it. With the help of the amazing Dreamcast, Capcom has once again topped them selves. With mind blowing grapics, a new twist in the RE saga, and the help of one tough woman Claire Redfield who would make even Lara Croft cry with one stare, you have a game that doesn't let you sleep until you beat it or you die of sleep deprivation. You best buy this game, or you may likely hate yourself for all time.

RE IS THE BEST GAME SERIES EVER

This is just incredible. It is the fourth RE game and it is the best one yet! Aren't games supposed to get old after so many sequels? Not this one, apparently. Capcom confirms it is the greatest game developer on the market once again. It can come up with so many different ways to scare and amaze you. There'd better be more Resident Evil on the way, cuz I'm still hungry for more. And to all those who have never bought a RE game before(what's wrong with you?)this is a game you have to buy, and I don't want to hear any excuses!

Claire's controls stink

This is by far the best game that DC has to offer however, the difficulty in getting Claire to move where you want her to go is unbelievable. Surely with all of the time spent making the awesome graphics and storyline Capcom could have made the player movement interface work better.

Cut threw all the crying and this game stands ontop.......

First off, I don't want to hear people talking about the loss of gore. Because it is there! If you time things right there are still head shots, and leg shots. The graphics are as stated by many stunning, the engine of the Dreamcast is being used to its full on this game. The controls take a little while to master but once you do, BAM! No problem anymore, you can juck and jive. The only feature I would have liked to have remain was the duck and role feature. I've played all the other Resident Evil games, and none of them hold Claire's Lighter to this baby! You don't need to rent the game becuase deep down you know it is simply great. So get this game now, not later now!

RE:CODE VERONICA, is the best dreamcast game too get. This Resident evil is the best resident evil ever. New Guns and the game has a great storyline. You might think that when you beat the game it's useless but it is not, their is a code for battle mode in which you can be characters that you can not be in the game. YOU MUST BUY THIS GAME!

Excellent Game

Code Veronica is a good addition to the Resident Evil saga. Here's the breakdown:

Graphics-8/10- Compared to todays' games, the graphics are about average. Then again, the game is (almost) 5 years old. But it has rich 3D enviroments, and good definition in characters.

Sound-7/10- The music gives you the scary feeling you would expect from an RE game. The only bad thing is the voice acting. It aint horrible, just not what you expected. It's better than previous games.

Gameplay/Story developement-10/10- The gameplay itself is excellent. But, unlike the Dreamcast version of RE2, there is no custom controls. That would have made the gameplay better. The story continues directly from RE2 (RE3 did little to develop the Resident Evil Plot) and brings the fight to umbrella. To find out what happens to the characters, play the game.

Overall, the game's a hit. The Dreamcast version is the best, but if you don't have one, get it for PS2 or Gamecube.
