I will not bore you with whats so great about this game because others have already done so. It is the most addictive game that I have ever played. Despite its seeming simplicity, its depth and ease of play are mesmerizing. Its the only game I really play on GBA. The GBA is worth the price for this one game alone.

Well I havent played the game yet I dont even have a gba but i have been looking at the top gba game reviews and this is one where no one gave it a 1star and like almost everyone gave it 5 stars which means this game will be on my top list as soon as I get my gba that is!

A must own for the GBA. Simple as that

So much has been said about this game, I'll try to keep this brief. Simply put, it is a excellent, deep, enthralling game for gamers of any age, despite the anime charicters. The best way I know to describe it is Final Fantasy Tactics meets Starcraft. It plays a lot like Tactics in that it's turn based, the movement and attack methods and such. But unlike Tactics (and like Starcraft) in some maps you get to make your own units, thus fielding an army of your design. Graphics, Music and controls are all top notch. Buy this game with your GBA, you won't be disappointed.

Advance Wars is a game that involves some thinking.
But there is still some action involved. So I think Advance Wars is a well-rounded game.

A very cool term base, RPG, great look for GBA, easy to learn for beginners, and a overall wonderful "thinking" game for anyone who's interested in games such as FFX, C&C, AOE II, etc.

Played it all way on the plane from Newark to LAX. Tons of fun to keep you glued, forget the on-flight movie or the mindless mags. GBA, Advance Wars, and a extra set of batteries is all you need!

Turn-base somewhere else

This is the age where we like instant, non-stop action. Turn-based strategy games are becoming a past landmark. But first let's look at the premisis of Advance Wars. You take turns building troops and telling them where to go in conquest to hike across the landscape and take over the enemy's base. Simple. In fact, it's so simple, I began to wonder if there's really any strategy involved. It's just a matter of who's quick enough to build the heavier kinds of artillery. -- Playing alone is fairly fun, though. After all, there are loads of single-player missions to gradually build through. However, we all know that a game without a multi-player support really doesn't last long. I thought perhaps Advance War's own contribution would help the game, but it really doesn't. Playing with a friend is a slow process with very little personal reward. Like I said earlier, turn-based games don't belong in the gaming industry in this day. See the difference between Worms Armageddon and the freeware Liero.
