Man this game is outstanding, it is very innovative, and creative, pretty good graphics. I like to use the 50 different throws, and catching is fun too, ...

A great game for all ages

This game is both fun and challenging for my 7 year old ( a pretty experienced gameboy user) yet my 4 1/2 year old can play, have fun and not get frustrated too (just getting started on gameboy). It has also engaged my teenage nephews as well as ever other kid we know that has touched it. They've played for a while individualy and know are connecting the sytems to play each other. This may be the best gameboy game we've ever bought ( and we've got quite a few).

awesome gameplay, but a little easy

Having played this when it was in the arcades more than 10 years ago, I had high expectations for this game. Having played this gameboy version, its nearly as much fun as the original, and mostly authentic.
The only negative comment I have is that its a little too easy.

Super Dodge ball advance:not very good

either buy the game used or if you have about 100 friends with the game. otherwise it is pointless because it takes about a half an hour to beat, literally. after that you can just use exhibition mode and play which gets pretty boring.
overall:
replay value: 3/5
control: 2/5, the menus are easy to navigate but super throws just happen and there is no way to pick which one you will use
sound5/5: the tunes are catchy and aren't boring
graphics:3/5, the only graphics are the little people who can be determined by the color of their hair
multiplayer:3/5, the teams are almost all the same and the difference in their stats doesn't make a difference so once you play someone once the next time it is boring.

Da Best Out There.

The unexpeced return of a classic

Early on in the GBA life there were few NES games remade. Earlier on GBC there were even more NES Games remade. However none could of come as much as a surprise, when Atlus Released Super Dodgeball Advance.

Super Dodgeball was a classic on the NES. Along with it's two other siblings Crash and the Boyz Street Challenge, and River City Ransom these took to NES by storm, and became incredible cult classics. Now almost over ten years later Super Dodgeball returns on the GBA. With 9 teams that are fully customizable, and five adjustable levels of Difficulty (sounds confusing, start the game and look under Config).

When I mean dully customizable teams I mean this, each team has 8 players, there stats cannot be adjusted. However their AI can. So you can make one guy fully mobile, better defense, or offense. There names can be adjusted (up to 6 didgets) and the team name can be custmoized.

Then there 6 hidden teams. Once beaten they too become available.

Overall buy this for many reasons, to include multiplayer mode. THis a classic recomended to all.

This Game is O.K

Small release, big game

Atlus remade the old NES game, super dodge ball, and wow, it is good. It's simple arcade play, but highly addicting. With it's advertised 50 powerup shots from warping throws to shots that rain from the heavens, this game packs a punch... well, a thrown volley ball at least. This is definately one of the best releases for the game boy advance. It is sold out in most stores, and Amazon is practically the only place to but it. Get it now before they too run out.
