When I first got this I thought that it was a lot of fun, and I still do, but the main point is it starts to get boing after 10 minutes of playing sometimes.

Great game but gets old fast

This is a fun game for the first week or so and then it gets a little monotonous. I do pick it up every once in a while though. If you have the money then get it, if not, buy Castlevania: Circle of the Moon.

Not the least bit challenging

I rented this game for my GBA and they didn't give me an instruction booklet - nor have I ever played the Super Dodge Ball for the old NES. I'm no connoisseur of sports video games.

Nevertheless, I forged ahead and figured out the controls and tricks on my own. Once I had the hang of it, I was demolishing every opponent I played. So I turned up the difficulty to the max level, which didn't seem to make the least bit of difference. I marched straight up to the top of the tournament brackets and beat the final opponent without any resistance. I kept waiting to get to an opponent who would pose a challenge, but it never happened. The same maneuvers work over and over and over again; plus, you can catch the opponents' throws about 90% of the time if you just keep pushing the button fast enough. Needless to say, it stopped being fun after just a few short matches.

On the plus side, there are lots of bells and whistles. You can build your own team, giving each player the name, physique, and playing style of your choice.

So if you're a little kid or have never played a sports video game in your life, check out Super Dodge Ball Advance. Otherwise, save your money.

Wow a handheld version of the 80's nintendo sports game Super Dodge Ball i picked this game up and had a lot of fun very similar to the original NES platform version. As far as this being set in the near future this concept isnt anything new it was a sleeper game on NES and one of my favorites. Pick this game up for a good game for any age and if your not a sports fan, well why not get this one i mean hey who didnt have fun playing dodgeball at school? *cough*billgates*cough*

The Game Is Fun Until You Beat It. Once You Beat It It Won't Be Very Much Fun. However It Is A Lot Of Fun, Having Each Computer Team Different In Attacking, Defending, And Speed. It's A Really Great Game Only If You Have Played The Regular Nintendo Version.

Hilarious beyond belief!

Finally, a new look to an absolutely HILARIOUS classic. Buy the NES version if you've got the chance. You'll be rolling on the floor, I guarentee it!

A classic returns!

This was actually the title that made me buy the GBA. The original NES version of this game is an all-time favorite of mine, and the idea of carrying around the game in my pocket was just too cool.

So what has changed? The biggest change is the new anime feel of the characters. This is the biggest disappointment- the originals were appealing in their own way, and the anime look for the most part makes all the teams generic.

The important things are the same, however. Same gameplay. Same cool power throws (and more!). Same little angel version of character once they die.

If you enjoyed the simple joy of launching a ball into the face of your opponents and watching them fly off the screen, then this is a must buy.

ROCK-ON DODGEBALL!!

This game was incrdible! For one thing, you never know the outcome of the game, which means more surprises. You can do anything you want to do with the chracters. It's got awsome background music to get you in the mood to play. The toughest part of the game is the dream teams which is superb. Hookinng up with a friend is not bad eather. Just buy it and see what you think. It's worth every penny.

Does anyone remember the FIRST time this game was out?

For those of you who may be too young to remember, this is an updated nintendo game. I'm talking about the OLD nintendo, you know, with the 8-bit graphics, and the rectangular controlers that hurt your hand with too much use. The original game was so good, i remember having a $150 late fee at the local video place. Now it's been updated, and souped up with the 32 bit graphics. HOW COULD YOU NOT LIKE THIS GAME?

waste of cash
