Very good Mario Game

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 2

This was the first RPG I had played in about 7 years and I have to say that it was a blast. I didn't care for all the reading in the first hour or so of the game, but after that it just moves right along at a very addictive and fun pace.

Any Mario fan will enjoy this great game!

Overall-Paper Mario is a great game it is just as good as the original is hard but not too hard I am almost done with it!

The Good-Paper Mario is almost just like the first except it has a different story you can do a lot of new stuff!

The Bad-Paper Mario is almost too easy if you use an online or book walk through that is about the only fault!

A sequel...!!??

When I first saw that a sequel to Paper Mario was being made, I could hardly contain my joy! Paper Mario had been my favorite game for years, and I always waited for news of a sequel. I got it for Christmas after it came out and I loved it. The plot, in my opinion, is great but the details confuse sometimes... The graphics were great, and I got so addicted to this one too. It's true that the storyline didn't make me totally obsessed like the first one did, but it's still awsome.

There are a couple of things that really bother me though. Most of Mario's partners look just like the old partners from the original, save for maybe a gender change or a hairstyle change or something like that. Flurrie looks very disturbing. And the final boss, -name withdrawn for fear of spoiler-, seems very... offensive. =O Well, it's much darker than the usual Bowser. I don't believe that that stuff should be mentioned in kids' games.

Which brings to mind another issue. I've noticed some people saying this game is for young kids!? I'm a highschooler, darn it! I'm also very immature for my age though, so don't pay any attention to my likes or dislikes. Some of it, like the more comical scenes, did look like they were geared towards younger gamers.

With all this negative stuff being said, you're probably wondering why I gave it 4 stars. For the most part, it DID live up to the original. The characters are great, the scenes are exciting and sometimes funny, and I was still glued to the Gamecube.

Paper Mario number 2 is nintendo's much needed RPG. The gamecube(or nintendo) hasen't had a good role player since the first 'slim n' trim' mario game, and this is flat out fantastic.
The plot isen't to surprising, Princess Peach gets kidnapped agian for the upmost time, but at least not from Bowser, from an evil army of 'surfer-dude' sounding X-nauts. Bowser is a playable character in the game, but not really an important character. The plot is that ,besides Peach being kidnapped, Mario came to the Husler filled town of Roughsport, on Peach's will, to find seven crystal stars which open the Door, supposedly is filled with treasure(but is not). He travels from all the locations on his magical map which shows where the stars are. The X-nauts are hunting for them, as well as Bowser is, and you do incouter the 'nauts numerous times. In each place the stars are, their is a party member as well as a pathitic boss fight. During your diffrent chapters, you find many intresting things, as the mafia, wrestling arenas', and the moon, also the lottery & Luwigi who is on his own mission to find Princess Eclaire in a totally origonal adventure. You also get to use the diffrent functions of paper: boat, airplane, thin, and tube.
Heres an extra, to obtian the mouse theif Ms. Mowz, look for an anonamus trouble at the trouble center. And last of all, at the end of the 100 trials pit is something very speacial, I won't say what, but here a hint, it's a very speacial badge.

I am a big fan of the first Paper Mario, an N64 game, and am looking forward to all this game has to offer. Mario has a ton of new abilities, such as becoming a paper airplane and squeezing through tight spaces. I hope it is as just as good as the first, if not better!

This will be an awesome game!

Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi were both excellent games! Nintendo is probably putting tons of effort into this game. Can't wait for it to come out!

The battle system is even better than before! Even your partner gets HP! I'm still trying to wonder how the level up system will work!

Paper Mario 2 will surely rock! The SNES game 'Super Mario RPG: The Legend Of The Seven Stars' and 'Paper Mario 1' both showed us that a Mario RPG is without a doubt, entertaining and fun for the whole family. You won't be disapointed! I Pre-Ordered my copy! (;

The first Paper Mario was really fun, and I really liked it. When I heard that this game was coming out, I thought 'oh cool! It must be even better!' But after I played it a few times, the levels (chapters, whatever) got very repetitive. One level had you going back and forth about three times pointlessly. I think the creators just ran out of ideas. They added some really nice features that were not in the old one that have to do more with interacting with the field, and not just in the fighting screen. They even added a lot more options and special moves in the fighting screen too though. But still, overall, this game gets boring very fast.
