This game is amazing many people have compared it to TTT(Teken Tag Tournament) for the PS2 platform, DOA3 easily beats it with the the highest quality graphics and sounds, the movies are amazing the multi-enviormental levels give this game the ultimate experience for XBox

games don't get better than this

everyone by now knows this game has arguably the best graphics ever to grace the human race. the japanese developers did an amazingly great job. kudoz!

some find the gameplay less than satisfying. i think it's because they forget this is a fighting game, not action or rpg. it's really some good ol' fun in front of your tv -- and it doesn't hurt to look at girls in high heels and otherwise well equipped. don't take the game seriously. you don't have to win every fight to enjoy the ambience it has to offer.

10 stars. great game.

A solid title

I bought this game when the Xbox was first released and it hasn't disappointed yet. I still play it a few times a week. The graphics are awesome and the controls are pretty much flawless. Combos are pulled off easily and the extra modes provide variety. The stages and characters look amazing. I'll save my 5 stars for HALO but if you need a fighting game you can't go wrong with this. Tag mode with 4 players rocks!

Dead or Alive-The Ultimate Fighting Game

I've been into fighting games ever since Mortal Kombat 1, and this game definitely tops them all. Dead or Alive 3 lacks a rich plot, but the endless combinations and moves are incredible. I also think that DOA3 has the best graphics on X-Box so far. My favorite part about DOA3 is the tag battles. I enjoy doing the moves requiring two people. I recommend this game to everyone. It's an easy game to pick up with easy controls, but you aren't a master until a long way down the road.

it DOES rule!!

Before I bought this I heard all the stories about it being a button masher game and how it's easy to win just by pressing anything and when I began playing for the first time, I began to feel the same way. It's learning every character's special moves that turns this button masher game into the best fighting game you've ever played, which is how I feel now. I guarantee you, learn moves like the back of your hand and you'll see this game in an entirely different light.

Tecmo brings more realistic goodness!

This game is worth 5 stars, And its all for 19 dollars! Such a great prise, But for 2 years of goodness it should be worth over 30 dollars ;-). This game takes you to a realistic world of over 14 charecters, With fabulouse CG endings! With a new feature of unlimited falling. Each charecter comes with 2 or 3 costumes and 3 or less secret colors. Smash your enemy on the wall, Knock them off to a secret stage area. Play story mode and watch some special demo scenes and meet your match! And the final boss needs some special strategy to defeat him, What i do is i wait for him to come near me and i keep punching him non stop!. The hidden charecter is like an EX charecter... I was hoping it was a new charecer... The female fighters look more sexy and dressed to kick butt! Most of the fighters don't really have a new costume but they look better on Xbox! There arn't that many unlockables like the second one but still its a fun game!

Features:
Over 14 charecters of play.
Unlock special endings and a secret ex fighter.
Secret color changer feature.
over 4 modes of fighting action!
over 3 new fighters of all countries.
Music from the band aerosmiths.
Wall breaking feature.

Very nice for $20

This game is a very nice fighing game for the Xbox. The nice crisp graphics make the characters come to life. Also the movements of the fighters look very realistic in every way you could think of a real martial artist moves like. The levels of the game aren't just a background, it is more interactive than you think in most fighting games. You can punch people out of walls of high buildings or off a cliff into another part of the level. You can also hit people into walls or other objects to make your blow more effective. This is the best fighting game there is on Xbox, it's only $20 because it's been over a year and DOA Online is coming out January 2004. This is the fighting game that can last you a long time.

Still the best after all this time!

Hello I've had this game since March and I still love playing it! This game keeps you entertained for a long time! Every time I sit down on my couch with the control, I play my Xbox but can't play any other games until I've played DOA3. I just love the little stories it has with each character and how they fight. You should see the graphics! They're amazing! They are really detailed and really look like they would in real life. The fighters are pretty cool looking too! I'll tell ya Xbox was worth getting and this game along with it! When I first played DOA3, it was at a Wal-Mart electronics section and it just blew me away! I couldn't put that controller down for 2 hrs. strait I'm not kidding! My Dad loves the game too! Every time he sees me playing it he's just got to play too. When we got our Xbox system we started to look for the game we played in Wal-Mart, and finally found it and bought it as soon as we could, we got home set up the system and immediatly we played the game. Now since I am now in the 7th grade, a cheerleader for the team, and lots of homework, I still try to find time to play with it and love it! I hope you either buy or rent it and enjoy it because I sure did! I hope you take my advice, this was a really cool game! Thanks for probably taking advice from a 13 yr. old! Solid Fighting Game

I really enjoyed DOA3, the fighting system is amazing, the graphics are outstanding! But I got the game yesterday, and I have already beaten the story mode with every character! The game is much too short. I know there are other game options besides the Story mode, but one would expect the story to be the bulk of the game, and well, it isn't.

Best fighting game i've owned
