Great fun for a while but gets boaring later!

I've had this game for about three months. It's extremely fun for about the first two months and it's very long so it's not to easy. The best handheld rpg ever but the one con is that after about two months it gets kind of boaring.

The character enhancement tree is amazing, I love how it varies for each of the character classes. The weapons and armor also vary through the different classes, and can be customized in many ways. The jewelry adds a nice touch for increasing for Strength, Dexterity, Stamina, and Intelligence. Your character can be customized in many ways such as hair stlye, and colour. The skin tone can also be changed. The thing that isn't great is there is no gender change, but covering up the distinguishing male and female marks can be covered up by armor. This game have very many missions which are easy to follow, but challenging to complete. This game will kepp you playing for hours on end!

All you do is kill; which I have no objection to as long as there's something else to do - secret pathways, buttons, puzzles - something in addition to the killing. Even Doom 1 had more than just killing. This game needs a bit more depth

Maybe a little repetetive...

This is definitely a fun game. While Ridge Racers, the other big launch title, only lasts for a week or so, I find myself still trying to get to the end of this game after a month and a half. It gets a little repetetive, with all the X-button pushing, but it's fun and all the items make it interesting. The plot really stinks at first, but if you stick with it, it gets better. Also, load times are very long, but you can get over that pretty quickly. Definitely worth the buy; you'll invest plenty of time in it.

Great Game, i've allready spent a few hours playing it and I can tell I am going to end up spending a couple dozen more playing it. Its basically a hack and slash like diablo. Its also a great game for the PSP because I can just put my PSP into sleep mode and whenever I have a quick break I just whip out my PSP and flick the power and i'm allready in a dungeon ready to rock!

Good Start

This is a fairly pedestrian top down hack and slash game. It is also one of the first releases for the PSP. The colorful and clear graphics spotlight the strength of the psp. Though the game was your basic get a quest, go to a dungeon and find what you need and return to the person who sent you. I never got bored with it. There are a fair number of monsters and bosses to keep things interesting. I did like that you had the power to return to your home city at any time which makes it a lot easier than backtracking through a dungeon. I also like the teleports that you find as you explore, which makes getting to the far out places a lot easier the second time you need to reach them. The story is good though it has been done many times before. My problem with the game came as I got to the higher levels. The monsters were no longer a challenge, nor was the final battle with the shadow god. A few healing potions and a bunch of hacking and it was over. The ending is also kind of strange. After the shadow god battle you are shown an epilogue for a few minutes and then the game resumes. There are about 7 more missions you are given and when you complete them nothing happens. You are not given more quests, but the game does not end. I had to check with others online to make sure that I was not doing something wrong, but I was assured that is how the game ends. Still overall it was a fun game and gave me plenty of hours of entertainment.

This was my first game!

I love this game, very fun to paly and it dosn't get old. i play this before school with my friends and we would all help eachother out. i think if you like roleplaying games like Diablo then this is a great game for you. The graphics are great also.

Over all it is a very fun game yet it lacks in some areas

This new RPG adventure for the PSP is much like all other newer RPG games, its a mindless hack n' slash game without a very interesting story line.

The game takes ideas from many other RPG and puts them into their gameplay, such as buying and selling stuff to merchants (Morrowind), travelling to underground dungeons to fight the dead (Champions of Norrath and Everquest) and leveling up for enemy kills (The Lord of the Rings games on GBA.)

However the game lacks in certain areas, such as buying and selling, you cannot choose the price you would like to buy or sell items for, instead they are automatically set, unlike other RPGs and the enemy types often get repetitive.

Besides the few number of setbacks this game has, it also has many great features such as hundreds of different weapons, armor, and accesories that can all be customized to fit your character as well as certain moves your character can perform to cause extreme damage to your foes.

In the end, I highly reccomend this game considering it is the only game of its type available on the PSP at this time, and it provides many hours of fun.
