Evil Dead: A Fistfull of Boomstick is a terrific third person shotter game! It is not the best I've ever seen (like the GTA series) but is certainly a lot of fun.
You start off with your trusty boomstick (double-barreled shotgun) but after only a few minutes you have accuried the must needed hand-mounted chain saw. These two weapons will be your main fighting tools, but others will come along. Such as a cop-issued revolver with normal and armor piercing bullets. Also a shovel, and a few sticks of dynamite. You may also accuire shrapnel shells for your shotgun, and explosive shells (my personal favorite!)
There are plenty of things to pick-up along the way, such as keys, books, spells, and special "chips" which allow you to save your game progress. The spells are a lot of fun, and just to name a few, you have; SUPER HUMAN STRENGTH, LIGHTNING BOLT, and POSESS A ZOMBIE. The game has large levels, with plenty of diates(zombies) to kill, but can accosianly become frustrating when you get lost.
In conclusion the game is extremely fun and intersting, and IS MUCH MORE than just blowing the crap out of millions of zombies! A must buy for enthusiastic gamers, expecially with only a $... price tag.

Evil Dead: The Game

This is the second Evil Dead game (As far as I know), and it also the best. This may not seem impressive, but it is.

First off, the suggested price is 19.99, which is perfect, as this game, while obviously made on a "19.99" budget, is actually well worth the price.

The gameplay is simple, and very easy to get into. The game is more fun than it is chalanging. It is a fun game, which doesn't require much thought, if any; and it has enough gadgets and weapons to keep it interesting.

one of the biggest features this game has, is Bruce Campbell doing the voice acting. His dedication and loyalty to the series makes this game look like a lot of work went into it, and it was actually important to people.

Any Evil Dead fan will love this game, but I reccomend that the average person rent this one first, as it takes a certain type of person to appreciate the wholesale violence in the game.

This game is much better than Hail to The King. Good graphics, fun nothing is missing. I thougt I would hate this game but, when saw the grphics, i thougt "So the graphics ar not so bad but let me se the fun" And when I started plaing it then I saw that nothing was missing. If you like evil dead you will love this game for sure!

True to the trilogy, annoying to the gamer!

I am an extremely huge fan of the Evil Dead trilogy and I couldn't wait for this game to come out. Playing the last games, Evil Dead:Hail to the King, I was very dissapointed and was hoping for something better than the PS1 game. So, I went to Blockbuster, picked up the game, and took it home. As soon as I got home I raced upstairs and started playing it. The introduction to the game was very good and I couldn't wait to start hacking up deadites. Then, when I started killing about 50 deadites in one small area, I started to get very annoyed. Plus, with all the objectives you have which are spread out about the whole town, it gets tideous and very annoying. Your health is very limited and you die when you least expect it. The cool parts of the game though, are the funny one liners which Bruce Campbell does himself and your classic selection of the shovel, shotgun & your chainsaw hand.

If your a huge fan of the Evil Dead trilogy, then go ahead and play this, but I don't buy it, unless you really like it.

The game gets a little boring pretty quickly and probably doesn't have great or even good replayability. However for the price its not bad.
Don't be a fool and buy this game solely because its Bruce Campbel and Evil Dead 2-even though I too found it an interesting series to make a video game from.
Shotguns, chainsaws, and shovels are certainly fun to do the good lords work, but after a while you've been there and done that. Rent it first.

Cumbersome Controls and Slightly Weak Gameplay!

I am sorry for being too critical of this game, however this is the best Evil Dead genre video game (which isn't saying much) If it wasn't for Ashe's comic relief, this game would be a torture to play. This game is not easy, and searching around town being attacked every step of the way is just annoying at times. The boss in the museum is difficult but every boss has a weakness that you have to figure out. Only by the time figure it out you're a dead man. That's pretty much the gameplay side of it. I was too annoyed by the time I figured out how to beat the bosses. The replay value has since dropped significantly.
