Swallow this

Not bad! I would compare this game to Buffy for the XBox - only the fighting here is much more haphazard and non-stop.
I wasn't too keen on the re-spawning enemies at first, but I think that's what the makers of the game were going for - non-stop zombie action, and they did it perfectly.
The fighting is blazingly fast and for that I love it - you'll never say to yourself "Gee if only my guy moved faster I wouldn't have died right there." Ash moves so quick it's great - nail the guy in front of you twice with the shovel then blast the one to your left with the boomstick before doing a behind the head shot right to the deadite behind you: AMAZING.
The graphics are great, the control is great, gameplay is solid. For 20 bucks- you'll never do better!

My only wish is that Ash's face was well, MORE like ash - I think lately Bruce has gained weight and grown a mustache (for a movie part maybe?) and so they couldn't do a scan of his face and use that for the game. But he looks enough like Ash and the quality of the game is so high so who cares right?

classic

Anyone who likes simple old school arcade games should get this and if you're a fna of th evil dead movies it's an absolute necessity. Ash says stuff like "nice complexion...for a freak" and it has lots of non stop zombie slaughter action. The only reason why i dont give it five stars is because it sometimes seems ompossible to figure out how to accomplish th objectives you're given. This may sem like a major flaw, but if you keep trying things you'll figure it out. good graphics, tond of action.

Strategy guide recommended!

I have only had this game for two weeks and have not gotten very far into the game. If you like to play your games on your own, you'll enjoy this game, although sometimes objectives can be quite difficult to complete. I like to play these types of games with a strategy guide by my side, but I have yet to locate even a trace of one! Consequently, I am stuck at a particular point early in the game! However, the graphics, actions and especially Bruce's, (I mean Ash's), sarchastic dialog make this a fun time! I recommend you buy this one! Enjoy!

Much improved from the earlier "hail to the king", "Fistful Of Boomstick" really got my appetite for destruction going and left me wanting more. You get to travel over differen't time periods of the town and see what the dead would have done to them. Awesome weapons and great enemies to kill. There is humor in it as a review said below. If you dont' talk to all characters you are totally missing out. 3d environment, great controls. Only annoying thing is that the one liners repeat too often on the one liner button. They removed this feature on "regeneration" I think it was in good taste.

Typical macho Campbell at his best. I loved this game. You get a whole lotta' game for your price. Don't miss it. Great Ending and story... and did i mention the deadites rule?

simple, but fun

At first glance, I thought this game might be a bit of a bore. the graphics are a bit on the simple side. But the more you get into the game, the better it gets. They did a good job capturing the dry humor of Ash with the help of Bruce Campbells voice to make it authentic. With a good lineup of weapons to choose from slashing and shooting your way through the deadites is quite enjoyable.

Good times... Goooood times...

The interview with Ash (Bruce Campbell - best thing to come out of the big screen in ages...) alone makes this game a must for any Evil Dead fan, be it 1,2, or Army of Darkness. It's fun, playable, and even a bit challenging at times if you get too liberal with your ammo too early in the game. If you love Campbell's classic one-liners, if you love Evil Dead, if you love a a good time, check it out.

This game is definitly one of the best games I've ever played. The controls are good, the fighting is great, the weapons are kick ..., the environments/scenarios, Bruce Campbell's lines, etc. are all just so great. Sure, the game is a little short, but it's still worth it, and I don't know about other people but after beating the game, all I wanted to do was play it again and again. Plus, the game has "extra" stuff which are good, such as galleries, a Bonus "Making of..." movie/video, and also 5 different arcade games for each level. Taking the price into consideration too, this game is a must-have.

Note: If you know the movies, you'll appreciate this game even more.
