Ace Combat 4 Is Da Best!!!

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 1 / 2

This game is one of the best flying games ever! I like the choice of planes and variety of levels, even though most are easy to beat. The loading of the game takes only a couple of seconds. If you enjoy playing flying simulation games, Ace Combat 4 would be a good game for you.
The only negative thing I have to say about the game is the fact that the missions could take up to 45 minutes and the Yellow Squadron is almost impossible to shoot down. The plane names get confusing, because they use numbers instead of the plane's actual names. Otherwise, this game is #1!!!

Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies is a very cool flight simulator/ air combat game. The graphics and sound effects are incredible. There is a very good story line to go along with it. The music that plays in the background during your missions is also good. Another good thing about this game is if your not that great at air combat games, you can put the difficulty setting on very easy. The settings range from very easy to hard. This is a great game overall!

I'v played jet games befor and my reaction to them has pretty much been the same, ok but i get bord after a while. But this game blows all of them away! The graphics are wonderful and the detales are amazing! You can realy see where the missle comes from instead of it poping out of no where.

I havent goten my PS2 yet but when i do, this will the first game buy!

namco ROCKS!!!

I have play previous Ace Combat and Air Force Delta and this is the best. It feels you are playing in a group, not solo.

REAL BAD FOR FIVE REASONS!!!

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 2 / 14

The reason this game is bad is because it has cuss words. And your jetfighter is REALY hard to control you just crash alot no matter which plane you have. Here are the pros and
cons.

pros-cool jet fighters
different weapons for different fighters

cons-Your wing mates barely give you any support
they just fly around and tell you what to do,maybe
shoot a missle once in a while.
2.There isn't any ground support to help you.
3.REALY sucky armor, two missiles and your
dead.
4.Your radar locks on for you.I don't really care for
radar.
5.Last but not least,THIS GAME HAS CUSS WORDS!!!
That's why this game is garbage!

Great game, but corny, unrealistic plot.

This is a pet peeve I have with most video games. Why do games have such corny plots? Asteroids destroying the world and the U.S. no longer in existence. C'mon, get real. Wouldn't Ace Combat 04 be more fun and realistic if, say, the gamer were a U.S. fighter pilot bombing the (...)out of targets in Afghanistan? Just my 2 cents.

how come? delivery is too late.

THE Mission Impossible!!!

I've had this game for six days now and I've successfully completed 17 of 18 missions on the normal skill level. I've had a wonderful time up until the 18th mission. Graphics(scenery and planes) are breathtaking and the game's a perfect blend of brain usage and eye-hand coordination. However, the last mission and thus the game cannot be won! In the last mission, after destroying the entire yellow squadron fleet, I had to destroy the Megalith to end the game. But in order the destroy the Megalith however, I have to descend to 50 feet and fly inside 4 long, small, and narrow tunnels to win the game. Impossible to do!...There's no way you can possibly fly straight enough to avoid the ground or tunnel walls and explode. If you slow down, the plane stalls forcing me to hit the ground. I even tried to autopilot so I can go straight, however, the tunnels then start to ascend and descend(forcing me to the hit the walls or ground). On top of that, given the unreal time constraints, there's no possible way anyone can successfully finish(with Standard Dual Shock Controllers)!

Excellent Game!

Ace combat is a really good console game but really less of a simulation for a PC..... The aircraft are acurately and lovingly
depicted..better than PC simulations....and the flying enviroments..are vastly superior to anything seen on any PC program.

In short you can depend on the accuracy of the designs of the jets as a Fox News broadcast......knowing they are not gonna be fake like a Dan Rather memo in a Presidential election. Or distorted like a CNN report.
