I haven't gotten past the first level because the controls are so bizzare in this game. Buy something else and don't be this cheap.

This game is so sick!!!!!

This game is one of the best I have played. I got a wii for christmas and got this for my b-day on 12/31 and I play it more than any game I have, including call of duty 3, Wii sports, and madden 07. The gameplay is awesome and extremely fun. It also is filled with a cool variety of guns to use, fun gameplay with the swords, good settings that vary a lot, and a fairly good plot line. Red steel puts you in the life of an ruthless man who has to deal with the Yakuza to get back his fiance and the possibilities of fun are endless.

Surprised how much fun I'm having

My son bought this game with his Christmas money. I had read all the reviews, heard some good, but mostly bad press about this game. As my son fired it up for the first time, I must admit, I was very underwhelmed. The controls are far from perfect, especially when you are just starting, but I would hardly say they are glitchy or buggy. Once you have mastered the controls, and it doesn't take that long, you can begin to enjoy the game alot more. The swordplay could have been better but it's the best swordplay available right now due to the fact that instead of pushing a button to make an action, you actually have to swing the controller. The first few battles are lame due to the fact that the guys are so easy to beat. Later on, it takes alot more to defeat them, and you have to use more complicated techniques. I am currently having alot of fun with it. My son likes the multiplayer. I'm not that big of a fan, mostly due to the fact that my son is stomping my guts out every time. Overall, I am thinking this has been well worth the price of admission. Alot of fun.

I baught this game because, I was hopping for a good multiplayer first person shooter for the Wii. But, this was not the case... the multipler is crap. It is jsut your basic oldschool 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1... I am more prone to multi player games like time splitters, where you can all be on a time. So i was pretty dissapointed. The story is great though. It really takes advantage of the Wii mote, and has a great storyline!! I jsut wish it had a better multiplayer :(

AMAZING!!!!!

This game definitly uses the power of the Nintendo Wii. This game does not start off easy though. It takes around 2 to 3 hours to acually really get good at it. But ohhhhhh its worth it. The sword fight never get old and when you get trigger happy... its awesome. GET IT IF U HAVE A WII!!!!

Would be a good game.. on the gamecube..

Red Steel has been hyped since its E3 demo many months ago.

I'm sorry to say, that the game has not lived up to its hype.

The graphics.. meh. Then again, this is the wii, and the controls must be good, right?

Unfortunately, this is where red steel falls flat on its face. The controls have a bit of "lag" to them, that after having used the Wiimote for more than 5 minutes, gets UNBEARABLY FRUSTRATING. Forget about moving and shooting at the same time!

I wanted this to be a good game.. but it just wasn't to be. Better luck next time, guys.

Freakin sweet!

This game is awesome! I like everything about this game. It has an excellent story line and really good graphics compared to the other wii games. The sword fights are cool and the gun fights never get old. I definitly recomend this game along with far cry.

At first I loved this game, the controls were good, easy to use, the wii controller was fun to use as a gun, and even the multiplayer was alright. After getting into it I realized how much of the same every part of the game was. The graphics are barely better than the Nintendo 64 Goldeney (i know wii isnt about graphics, but this is lame). You can see a characters gun THROUGH A DOOR! Jeez. Overall it's alright, but once there is a better FPS for the wii, this game will be forgotten.

Dommo arrigato Nintendo!

I had read a number of reviews that slammed this game for its controls and graphics.

Ok, the graphics are middle of the road, nothing special.

The controls, incredible! Sure it takes a few minutes to get the hang of it but once you do it all just seems to work. The sword fights are also interesting enough to keep a person occupied.

I gave it 5 stars overall and consider it a worthy first person shooter that makes excellent use of the unique WII controls.
