im not saying that this is a bad game but it surprised me I thought that there would be more flying instead this is sort of like legend of zelda. I like how they tried to take the game in a new direction but it didnt cut it for me I loved star fox 64 in fact it was the first video game I ever played so I hope that star fox comand will have more flying in it than this one. on the plus side this game had a good storyline that made it hard enoughto not beat it in an hour heres how I rate it

gameplay: B+

graphics: A

controls A-

fun A-

overall B As I said there is not enough flying in this game so I dont rate it too high this game can also get frustrating at really hard parts and it can get boring at some points but overall its a good game

Yes, I wrote that kid review when I didn't have an account.

Well, there's really not much to say about this game. I loved the first two Star Fox games, but this is, at best, mediocre.

First off, the whole Dinosaur Planet thing was nonsense. Of course, the games have always been a bit cheesy (a fighter pilot fox?) but this takes the cake.

But the most obvious problem is the fact that, as someone stated before, it tries to be Zelda... but it isn't.

Let's leave the platforming to Link, and keep Star Fox doing what he does best... flying around and shooting things. Now that's fun!

For furry-lovers everywhere!

There's a definite anthro feel to this game, with the super-cool Fox and the sexy Krystal character whom you play in the beginning (and later, but no spoilers there ...)

You start out playing as the uber-hot Princess Krystal who has landed on Dinosaur Planet to answer a distress call. From there, you arrive at a mysterious palace with little idea of what to do or what's going on. Talking to the triceratops around gives you a generalized idea. By the time you're out of the intro, the story has explained itself a bit more and General Pepper has contacted Fox McCloud once again ...

This game is a Zelda-influenced platformer, but it is NOT a clone. I have to admit that I am a longtime fan of the Zelda series, but I have never before played any of the Star Fox games. Perhaps that's why I can appreciate it for what it is: a platformer with RPG and adventure elements which is puzzle-driven that manages to mix in a little bit of shooter, racing, and piloting as well. It's a lot of fun, and a little challenging without a walkthrough. There was one part of the game where you're racing two other baddies on a snow sled that took me ages to defeat - maybe I just stink at racing. Otherwise, I had a good time playing it, and the game progressed very smoothly.

The solutions to the puzzles are often intuitive after some thought is given: or, you may remember an area that you overlooked or missed, and decide to give it another look only to find the answer there.

Another thing to consider is that this game has great graphics and atmosphere.

If you like Zelda, and if you're willing to play a Star Fox game that is low on the piloting elements but high on adventure, get this game! You won't regret it. I bought it used for 10.00 at EB Games, and haven't put it down since. To me, it's even more fun than WindWaker. That's saying something for a so-called "clone" of Zelda ...

The best game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Starfox Adventures tried a new approach, a Action RPG like the Zelda series. The graphics are good, the game is good, but there is only one problem. Why waste money on this when you can buy games like Windwaker and 4 Swords, which are basiclly the same thing but better. If you really want some good Starfox buy Starfox: Assault. If your looking for a long, intresting, fun, and slightly frustrating game this is for you.

Starfox Adventures is a great game that will take some time to complete

When I first started playing Starfox Adventures, it seemed okay enough to keep my attention. Sometime after the beginning of the game, I began to notice the brilliance of this game. It is truly one of the better puzzle-solving/adventure/action games on the Game Cube. The atmosphere is resemblant of Indiana Jones with a fox instead of Indiana Jones. The tactic for solving puzzles seemed not so obvious in the beginning of the game, but soon enough became clear without being a giveaway every time a new puzzle came along. The use of the side-kick Tricky was brilliant and yet super cool. The game is expansive and wide allowing you to talk to different dinosaurs throughout the game and explore a little. The store in the game has some benefit but is not a spectacular addition to the game. The only really difficult part for an experienced gamer might be the strength test and the pterodactyl flight shooter. This game would be good really for everyone, even though it might get a bit hard at times for young children or inexperienced gamers to figure out. It will help build their skills as a gamer. This game is awesome like Star Fox Assault, but for different reasons. While I think the graphics, character models, and environments are slightly better in StarFox Assault, the hugeness of the environments and surroundings and the interactive environments in StarFox Adventures must have really pushed Game Cube hardware to the limit. I think I only found two places of minor slowdown in the game that were almost not even noticeable, except to someone really wary. The framerate for the most part is exceptional. Once the game is done, however, the game has not much to replay it for other than if you want to play through it a second time. Sincerely consider giving this game a chance because you might really enjoy it, especially since you can probably find it now for under $20. StarFox Adventures is simply one of the best games on Game Cube.
