a nice game that excelled over its originals

this game was excellent. the graphics were not the best in the game, but the faces were great when it showed them in the conversations. this is definitely the best farming/romance game on the playstation console. it was better than the one for 64, it let you play longer and it really doesn't have an end. i would difinitely buy this game for anyone i knew who was a farmer or a kid of mine if i had one. it was a great game. i look forward to the sequals up ahead to see what natsume will come up with

I haven't played the Harvest Moon game on playstation, yet, but i've played it on[another game system], and it was great. I'm sure it's a lot better on PS because better graphics and a lot more options to do stuff. I'm hoping to buy the PS version soon so i can find out how really great the game is.

Farming? Cooking? DATING?

My friend told me about this game, telling me it was awesome. At first it sounded really strange to me. "It's a farming game. You can plant seeds and grow them, then sell them..." If that was all it was, this game would get really boring after awhile. Luckily, there's much more to it then that.

The storyline is this: Your grandpa died, leaving you a run-down farm that you've only visited once before, in your childhood. When you were there, you met a girl...I dont quite understand where the girl fits into the storyline, as it doesn't tell you which girl there it was that you met, and you're left to wonder. However, maybe things become clearer later. Anyway, you've returned to take care of the farm. The villagers don't trust outsiders very much, so they give you this choice: Get the farm in working order and get along with the villagers in 3 years, or you have to leave.

Like I said before, though, it's not that simple. If you only farm, and do nothing else, then you'll get kicked out when the three years are over. The villagers still dont' know you, you never talk to them. You have to be social. You get to talk to the villagers, and even have the chance to win the heart of 5 girls in the village with completely different personalities, who all like different things. Give gifts to the villagers to get them to like you even more, and when you become friends with them, what they say to you changes. There are even festivals every week or so, that are pretty fun even though they sound weird: a tomato throwing festival - have any villagers you dont like but can't afford to be mean to? Cream them in the festival!, the summer opening day; where you have a swim race, the chicken festival, and more.

But that's not all. You also can upgrade your tools, and more importantly, your house and barn and chicken coop. Once you upgrde your house, you get - guess what? A kitchen! You can experiment with different 'recipes' or watch the cooking show every saturday for new ones.

The only thing I didn't like about this game was that it took so long to get everywhere, but be patient and you'll be rewarded with the rest of the game.

This game is a must-buy. It's really hard to find, though. I couldn't find any place on the internet that didn't have it on backorder, so i reccomend you try buying it in person, at a store. Good luck!

OK I need help on this game.I just wrote a review for Rhapsody well anyway I need some info on where to buy this game at a store and not on the internet if you can help me and you live in Gulfport,miss please write a review if you dont want to put your email address down cause your older just go to write a review. The Best Game Ever (Harvest moon BAck to Nature)

This game is a must buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What you have to do is clean up and raise a farm and get married before three years in this new village. If you can't you might get kicked out of this wonderful place. I'm married and my wife just gave birth to a son. I'm on my thrid year and still there is surprises left and right. You can raise Cows,Sheep,Chickens,a dog, and a horse. There is 5 girls to choose from. Make sure shes the one for you.

This game is non-violent game (my mom is soooo against shoot 'em ups), it has great graphics, there's animals (I'm an animal lover), and crops. I think, it's probably my favorite Harvest Moon game of all. I started by seeing it at my friend's, and then I just HAD to play. Every weekend we'd get together and play, it was soooo much fun! Then, my bro got an N64 and I got that version - not as good, but it was still fun. I really recommend this, there's such great stuff to do!

-A dog
-A horse (yeah, only one, but you can ride it and he can jump!)
-Cows
-Sheep
-Chickens
-Foxes, Squirrels, Rabbits and Bugs are some wildlife that run around, and you can pick them up and carry them.

Stuff to do:
-Get married
-Enter contests and festivals
-Make friends with the harvest sprites
-Dig for ore and minerals
-Make crops
-Build extensions
-Talk to the Harvest Goddess
-Take a Hot Springs bath
-And more!

Girls to choose from:
-Ann, the tomboy
-Karen, the hot chick with a mind for drinkin
-Elli, the sweet little nurse who'd make a great mom
-Popuri, the flower gal pink-haired flirt
-Mary, the shy librarian

-Sheep and Cow Festivals

It's really alot of fun, and there's so much more to it. You also have rivals for the girls, and you can upgrade your sheep and cows if you love them tons. Go ahead and get this game, it's the best!

This is the best game I have ever played! Don't hesitate about this game, it is well worth the price. You plant a garden and water it everyday. Catch fish, then throw them into your pond. Feed and milk your cows, feed your chickens, sheer and feed your sheep. Don't forget to talk to your dog everyday. Gather the wild grapes and mushrooms, then sell them. Give flowers to the girls. Make delicious food in your kitchen. The Harvest Sprites will help you get your work done faster, but they have to like you in order for them to do your chores right. You can eventually get married, and then she has a baby. I believe this game can go on and on forever. I'm on my 5th year. At first you may be discouraged, because it is hard to get started, but once you do it is a blast. This is one of the best games I've played. It's very origanl. I play it every day, and currently have a horse, two sheep, three chickens, four cows, and a dog.

This is the greatest hm game to date! you can MAKE food in your kitchen (for once), you can have a deeper relationship w/ villagers (birthdays etc.) you can plant more crops, more character interactions, great graphics and control scheme i could go on and on. If the scale went high enough, i'd give this a 20! BUY IT!!!!

Harvest Moon:Back To Nature is by far the best Playstation game I have ever tried. The graphics are amazing and the characters are very interesting. The only problem with this game should be that it is for kids maybe 9 and up. I say that because it is very complex and new gamers might want to try something more simple at first. But this game can bring hours of joy and happiness!
