If your at all fimilar with Suikoden the game play is pretty much the same. I loved all the puzzles and storylines. Once again you gather 108 stars of destiney, but most of them are new (although there are some characters you may remember: Tai ho, Victor, Flik, and even the original heroe!). If you don't know Suikoden, then this game is role playing, fighting and mental solving game. IT ROCKS!

Great battles, cut scenes, and the stroy making it one of my favorite playstation games. True the first one was not as good as this one, but i'm not complaining.The idea of collecting 108 characters is just too good to be true. The controls are easy to get down and i promise you that you will have a good time playing this Classic RPG. ( First one is not as good as this one.)Enjoy!

This is the great rpg game I ever played. I have both suikoden 1 and 2 and planning to get ps2 when suikoden 3 comes out.
Everyone should play this game.
In my personal opinion, this game was far better than final fantasy.

I LOVE THIS GAME! it's sooooo cool. It's not all goody goody. People you love die... a lot. :-(Gremio) But you have Victor... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. LOVE HIM! Then Hero Mcdohl, cute with an E! It's not all about scanning guys, it's really good. It h comdey, emotion, drama, and all that good stuff.It starts out with Ted, a frien that livs with you. He posses a rune(Magic) that the court magician, Lady Windy, wants. After she finds him and attacks him, h omes bak wounded. He gives you the rune and you are off with Gremio and Cleo, your other friends. Soon you meet Victor at the inn, and he saves you from the guards while getting out of paying for his meal! Some other things happen. BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

This game... I am not kidding when I say the best RPG of all time. Plot is superb. Battles are awsome. Best of all is the music, its blows away anything you have ever heard in a game before.

Ok.. I am back.

As most people has already reviewed, this game is great. When I first played this game, I was a weary of the cartoon graphics, but the minute you get into the story, the graphics are either forgoten or loved.

The in-battle character models are about the same as your walk-around models, but the second you use magic, that is forgoten. The graphics they put into the spells was better then most RPGs for the PlayStation I have seen. The battle system itself is also very taking. As a reviewer stated before, the rock-paper-scissors type battles may seem simple, but as you progress, they become complex when strategy is then needed.

Everything about this game I enjoyed. The smooth oriental music, the awesome and intense battle, the awesome stroyline which contains a story of drama, betrayel, and comedy, the anime type cartoon graphics, the vast amounts of variety that this game allows you, the goofy little emotes that pop up above a characters head when a dramatic event has happened, etc...

Role-playing fans looking for an exceptionally deep and lengthy quest need not look any further, for this game has precisely what you need.

About 3 years ago I walked into a Blockbuster looking for a game to rent. Started walkin through the isles when I saw Suikoden 2. I had heard from a friend that it was good . So... I rented it. I have three words for you. IT WAS AWESOME!I had it only for a week and I got up to the the final boss! Who I will leave anonymous for you people who haven't gotton there yet. I couldn't believe such an incredible storyline. From the moment I turned it on it enthralled me. I played it for hours on end without eating or sleeping... until it had to go back four days after the return date. Honestly I don't think there is any true gamer out in the world who can play this game and not like it.

I absolutely LOVE the enitre Suikoden series, i have played and beaten all 3 despite the fact that i only have the first one but my friend has all 3 which is where i played Suikoden 2 for the first time and let me just say i was mesmerized, the cinemas were cool the story line was phenominal, and for those who are thinking its just another rpg and ill get bored after i beat, youre wrong i have beaten this game 11+ times and im still going back for more i know the game inside and out, its just a freaking good game and definately recommend it to everyone
