This game is an awesome realalistic thriller that connects and makes you feel as if you are part of the movie. It is a great game for all Lord of The Ring fans, and is more than better from The Two Towers!! The game features more characters, better moves, realistic levels from previous movies, and what you can expect to see when you play it. Try it youll like it!

Great Game

Games based on the lord of the rings books and movies have mostly been terrible. There was LOTR on SNES, and then the fellowship on the xbox and ps2. It all changed when the Two towers came and now EA has realeased the ROTK. It is better as you have more players and you can interact with your surroundings.(ex: you can use catapults and throw spears). Also the 3 main characters(which are Merry Pippin, and Faromir) add some replay value to the game. But the best is the co-op mode. Me and my frien played it as Frodo and Sam(I was Frodo) in the Crack of Doom and we had quite a adventure playing with two people).

Can't wait for LotR: Trilogy

EA has done it again! This game like The Two Towers last year, is a hack and slash game but with a more expansion of gameplay with the addition of Gandalf, Sam, and Frodo (you can't actually be him till the last level though). Even at easy mode, things can become really rough with a few stages, especially with The Path of the King (the part where Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli go through). You encounter Nazguls, Orcs, Trolls, Spiders, Wicked Men and even Oliphaunts in this game. I was immediately drawn in from the first mission. It really is a great game, if not buy, at least rent. Don't expect a lot of movie scenes from the third film. There aren't a lot of movie clips as there were with the last game and most of it were from The Two Towers. Also, just to be cautious...if you happen to be someone who never read the book and just want to play the game for a little spoiler here and there--DO NOT PLAY! It just isn't worth spoiling the movie by this game, especially since it's coming to theaters really soon. This is the last one. The game isn't a tease, it actually spoils storylines so I suggest those ppl to wait.

one of the best games ever and I mean it

The game is good i beat it about 3-7 hours i wanted the game to last longer but the game is good and shows clips from the movie and playing as sam is just cool cus he was the one who actuly saved middle earth and if it wasent for him frodo would be dead long time.the game is just good second only to the tony hawk so i think u have to buy it if your a lord of the rings the game lets you do things you the could not in the two towers like climbing shootig catapults and ordering things and boss fights like shelob that was too easy and the nazgul and sauron but that was easy to.the grafics are ok they could be better the level system is the same with some new moves but in the end the i good so you can buy or rent depends on what u want,to beat the game or to have the game to play with friends and by the way it has online play.

Great game for Anyone

Ok. This game is unbelievable. I really liked the Two Towers and ROTK was way better than the TT. You can play as 5 characters in the beginning and eventually have 9 if u beat the game. Gandalf is by FAR the best character, despite the fact he is an old geezer.
Gandalf-quick, fast killing move, excellent ranged attacks.
Aragon-strong, good swordsman, slow killing move, so so ranged attack
Legolas-extremelty quick, good killing move, a bit weak, unbeliveable ranged attack.
Gimli-slow, extrememly strong, slow killing move, powerful but slow ranged attack.
Sam-tough and strong (for his size), quick, great killing move, crappy ranged attack.
Frodo-weak, fast, excellent killing move, crappy ranged attack.
Unlockable characters 1 and 2-sort of medium strength, medium speed, great killing moves, crappy ranged attack.
Unlockable character 3-strong, decent swordsmanship, slow killing move, great ranged attack.
Well thats my character outline. The two unlockable levels are absolutely impossible but fun to play anyway.
Buy this game, it is definitley worth 50 bucks if not 80.

this is a fantastic game but

My husband and I LOVED the Lord of the Rings movies, so we couldn't wait to play the game. We wish we'd never heard of it. Both of us find the game much too hard, to the point that the game is irritating, rather than fun. It's neat to be able to be Gandalf or Aragorn or Frodo, but even when playing the most powerful characters, we have to play the same scenario over and over and over and, well, you get the idea. This game could have been awesome, but as it is, my husband and I wish we hadn't bought it. (If you are 10 years old and have really fast little hands, this may not apply to you. :-))

Best Game Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RENT IT FIRST! OK, I bought this game as a result of the guy at Best Buy explaining the co-op feature which I will say is unique and very cool. (two players on full screen fighting together towards a common goal) The graphics are outstanding and though I'm not a big fan of fighting-only games, I liked it at first. The levels are hard for even a pretty seasoned PS2 fan. The thing that ROYALLY STINKS about this game is the LACK OF SAVING OPTIONS!!!

It took, say, 12 tries to complete "King of the Dead". Once he was defeated, I was immediately (& I mean immediately) thrust into the collapsing avalanche of rock in "Southern Gate level" You make it a ways through, then die under falling rock or battle. YOU HAVE TO GO ALL THE WAY BACK TO KING OF THE DEAD. I was so frutrated by this breach of common sense, I almost threw my controller at the screen. If I could write EA games I would ask: Why in the world did you overlook such an easy no-brainer like letting the gamer save progress after each level ??????????????
