Truly poor multiplayer

First things first. I am a 45 year old guy that still plays the occasional video game with my son-in-law or son if he's in town.

Second, I am a HALO2 fan but lately avoid XBOX Live due to the nasty little children that always seem to be there and only also seem to know one word. Now, if Master Chief could just wash their foul little mouths out with soap that would indeed be "sweet".

Now. GRAW is simply poorly done. This only refers to multiplayer on XBOX Live. You will find that you must wait for everything. Wait for XL to find a game, wait to be allowed into the game, wait while XL finds another game after the host bails out.

Yes, the graphics are nice, yes the controls are different from other games (HALO2 specifically). XBOX Live multiplayer is simply frustrating and annoying. I'm glad I didn't pay a ton of money for this thing, it simply isn't worth it.

I just recently got my xbox 360, and i got T.C.'s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter an its one of the best looking, and overall best game I've played in a long time. i was very supprised a this game because mainly, i hated the previous Ghost Recons. Alot. But this one is different. the the graphisc are jawdropping, even on a standard TV. amazing in HD. GO BUY THIS GAME.

Brief Review

Graphics-5 stars (players move and look realistic)

Gameplay- 4 stars (While the game itself is very fun, it can be challenging because of how easily your player dies)

Sound-3.5 stars (Gun sounds realistic, but their could be a little more in squad chatter)

A.I-4.5 stars (A.I is smart and hides behind cover most of the time, even iniciates flanking movements on you and attack from you blind side if you are alone and they have you pinned down. But sometimes venture out into the open and are easy prey.)

Overall-4 stars (While this game is very fun and challenging, I find myself getting very frustrated after I have died the 10th time)

Extended Review

Graphics- Player models move realistcally and fluently, enviorments look and act very real (Example, when you are hiding behind a corner and enimies are shooting at you the corner will gradually disenigrate as it is hit by bullets).

Gameplay- The game itself is very fun, however, you will find yourself dieing very quickly unless you plan out your strategy. Yes, this means that in this game, there is no run'in and gun'in. Instead, stick to cover and eliminate your enimies with well placed shots. If you do end up in a gunfight and get pinned down, move quickly becuase the A.I does not forget about you, they will come and attack your position. The best way to go through this game is to work well with your squad. Pin down enimies with cover fire from half your squad while the other half moves from cover to cover.)

Sound- Good sound, guns sounds realistic, can even hear when the bullets hit enviorment, easy way to tell your being shot at. Not much player chatter though, so you are mostly just sitting their in silence while you complete your objectives besides the rare appearances by your commanders.)

A.I- Not only is the A.I strong in this game, they are also smart. The A.I is capable of carring out intricate flanking movements and acually retreat and regroup when they are losing a battle. They also group together before they mount an attack. ALso use vehicles very well, they will send in a vehicle first before they attack to soften you up and then their main force of ground troops will arrive.)

Overall- If games were ranked on graphics and A.I alone this game would give it a five, but only average sound and difficult and frustraing gameplay bring this game down to a 4.

This is a good game with the exception of it not having co-op for the entire campaign. I know everyone wants to play online but for those of us who like to play single player or with a friend offline (because of want or no access to the internet) it isnt that great. Graphics are decent as is the rest but still just not quite done. I do like the original the best, before they turned it into the Rainbow six clone. Somehow I don't think the mission ends in real life when the leader gets killed.

Just brought it and im already in love with it...well until Gears of War comes out...and then F.E.A.R and then Mass Effect...but for now..G.R.A.W it is!...

this game is great. now this game came with my 360 so i thought it was going to be bad... it got the best of me. you dont get bored with it and the missions are long. great storyline and weapons, Top of the line graphics. what i loved is that you can hide behind anything and send your troop out to do the dirty work while you sit backand pick people off.

WARNING: Do not play call of duty 3 after ghost recon because ghost recon is 3rd person and call of duty is not...

this got me mad because i got call of duty 3 also so i feel like giving call of duty a try and man that is hard YOU CANT HIDE BEHIND WALLS.

well know that thats out of my system here are honerable mentions of GRAW

dont have second thoughts on this game it is great.

A great start for the 360. fun gameplay, decent graphics, good control over your squad. Just try it already.

If you are a fan of the Ghost Recon series then you will really like this game. I can't wait to play the 2nd version "Advanced War fighter 2"

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is truly the best game for the Xbox 360. Every single thing about this game is spectacular. I would give the Graphics a solid 10. The Sound a solid 10. The Xbox Live gameplay a 9.5. Overall gameplay a solid 10.
