For War Buffs Only

Theres too many button combinations and commands to make this game move from the realm of "cool" to being "fun." If you are a current or ex-soldier then you'll probably love it as its a pretty realistic simulation of squad based combat. If you're looking for a game to just turn on and blow stuff up mindlessly, this wont be your cup of tea. Dont get me wrong, its good, but it seems geared more toward hardcore gamers than casuals (which I am). Besides, not being able to jump and melee really bugs me. So it depends what you like. The graphics are cool, but the gameplay's fun will depend where your tastes lie.

This game is somewhat different from the other Tom Clancy mind-blowing games I have played in the past. You are a soldier named Mitchell part of a group called "Ghosts" who are the ones to mop up big missions and disappear right away without a "trace." What I most enjoyed so far in this game was the amazing graphics and the city design. I guess I can exaggerate and say that you actually feel that you are part and within the real beautiful city of Mexico. I have only played the first mission and I anticipate what else is yet to come. Check it out! You won't regret it.

Finally a company who mastered the online side of their new 360 game before releasing it. You can play a miriad of online games, plus host very easily and the best part of any game, play co-op online against the computer...so cool. This is a must buy for anyone who has played the old Ghost Recon's before. Beautiful graphics, gameplay is awesome for teamwork, the HUD of your teammates view is amazing. The single player campaign is not as intense as COD2, but the online portion blows it out of the water.

This review is based on my personal expierience with G.R.A.W. If you are into war games or shooters This is best release for your xbox 360 yet. Oh you say "What about call of duty 2?" Well call of duty is still great just not this great. Before you get mad I would like you to read why I says this. The graphics for this game are just breath taking and so real looking, from shadows to facial textures everything is sweet. The invironment is wide open you can go any where besides inside some of the houses and buildings. Guns blazing, explsions bursting, blood and bodies flying,whoa!... After a few months of playing I will need some help. Any way it all looks and feels great no question. <><><><><><> Game play:Picking up the controlls mite be alittle hard for new players but once you do it will become instinct.(If you have trouble with control just play to have and you will pick up fine.) For all of the vets you will appreciate the new inovations and sharp controlled response between on screen action and what buttons on the controller you press.<><><><><> Online play is the best. There is 1,000 different game variations, you can have upto 18 players in co-op mode and 30+ in death match. I belive they are setting a new multi-player standard.(I'm addicted to playing co-op with more than 2 or three people or more, we had ten players once and it was all out war man) So over all G.R.A.W. has it all good graphis great sound awsome action. Pick it up if you can. Rent it if you want to be mad you wasted $7.00 that you could have applied to the $60.00 it takes to purchase.

i play military games exclusively. this is by far the most intense game ive ever played. whether you're looking for a sweet single player campaign or an even more addictive multiplayer shooter, this is the game you have to get. it has a good blend of strategy and just flat out action to keep you involved and interested without becoming frustrated. the controls are easy to understand, the graphics are the best out to date, the 5.1 makes it that much more intense, and because of the online play, this game will be something you can hang on to and play for a long time. being former military, i can tell you this game is probably as realistic as youre going to get without having to actually go to war. pick it up or even just rent it, try it out but i can guarantee.... you'll be buying this one.

greatest squad based shooter ever

This game is the reason why I bought my xbox 360, and it has done it's job. This is the best squad based shooter I have ever played. The graphics are stunning and the gameplay is flawless. The missions run seamlessly without long "loading" pages between missions. Between missions you are being briefed "in game" or on a turrent gun taking out soldiers on roof tops. You also have the ability to call in air strikes and control Apaches, tanks, drones, etc... If you like strategy games then you will love this one... I highly recommend this game. And thats just for the single player mode... online play is just addicting. Too many game types to choose from and it seems to be different every time. Great online support, a must have for your collection.

Best 360 game

I've never played any of the previous ghost recon games so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was extremely satisfied with all the elements of this game. Gameplay is somewhat like full spectrum warrior where you give your squad commands and tell them where to go. And here you have control of the captain's actions. Meaning you can shoot and do things yourself. I had difficulty with the control and command at first, but once you get used to it, you'll be shouting out orders to your squad and sometimes a bradley assault vehicle, while turning the enemy's flank with ease. Or at least trying to. I also noticed that enemy reacts well when they see you or your squad. They will lay down a supressing fire and then seek cover. This is a step up in game play that really seems to simulate a real world situation. But there are certain situtations where the enemy A.I. leaves himself out in the open very prone to fire. All in all a good mix that makes the game fun and challenging.

The graphics in this game are what stand out the most in terms of the next generation. I used to look at cut-scenes from the older systems and wish they would be in-game. It's a reality now. The character models are very well done. The details of Mexico city is also laid out very well. Another thing is the sunlight and how it effects the visuals. Very life like and I must say this is the best looking game to hit the 360.

Multiplayer is pretty well done, although I only played a team deathmatch type game for about a half our. I know there's a two player co-oop mode where you and someone else can square off against bots. I know there are other multiplayer modes, but I have yet to get into them. I'm too busy with the single player campaign. You can change the appearance of your soldier for on-line play. Customizing player looks was a great idea and is just another great part of this game. If you're not into tactical military games then maybe look elsewhere, but if you are then this game is for you.

GRAW is GREAT!

I will start off first by saying, this game is beautiful. The overall presentation is great but there are little things that I noticed which made the difference. For example, when a helicopter lands or takes off near you, you see the resulting swirl of sand and dust. There is also a multiplayer map where it's raining and the way the water looks when it's hitting the ground is impressive. Gameplay wise, this game rocks. Multiplayer is a blast with a ton of options that allow you to customize your session from what type of weapons you can carry, to how many respawns a player gets. Single player is also fun. It's very tactical so this is not your Halo Type of shooter. It's a blend of the prior Ghost Recon games with the squad command functionality of Full Spectrum Warrior. If you liked the past Ghost Recon games, then go get this game. You will not be sorry.
