BEST GAME EVER

For those of you that liked other MechWarrior games well, this is beter than all of them combined. It has about sixteen solo player missions or so. This game features a wide variety of 'Mechs and maps (you need win some and download others to get them all). I beat the game in less than a week, but it never gets old!!

This is the best game on Live! If you have Live, you won't play much UNLESS YOU HAVE A MICROPHONE!!!

Good but could be better

Good game, good graphics, good sound, good background music. Awesome weapons and upgrades....but oh so frustrating at points.
If you are killed on a level you have to start all over again...it makes you want to pull your hair out. I far as I can see, there is no way of saving the game except an autosave at the end of a level....as you can imagine doing the same tedious thing over and over just to get killed again...go back to the start etc...etc. It does have multiplayer, but only against each other and a bad co-op level. It does not allow 2 players to challenge the campaign together. Please game writers, take a lesson from Halo and start making co-op games with a campaign. Just because of these reasons, I would rate it 3.5 but rounded up to a 4. It would be a 5 star game if they would have added saves and co-op campaign play.

Worth renting

First of all, I'm only talking about single player mode. There might be some redeeming qualities on X-box live that I just don't know about. That being said. . .
The graphics were OK, but they weren't really that great considering what can be done with an x-box. The gameplay is simple minded - every level is the same shoot and run routine with nothing new. The plot is paper thin and lacks any depth. The only good thing was the diversity of weaponry - each weapon had it's own characteristics and it kept the game interesting.
Since I'm a dork and I've always liked Mechwarrior stuff, I do have to say it was fun to play for a day or two. This game is worth renting and beating in a couple of days, but otherwise it's nothing new.

Ripping good fun

Game sounds good and looks pretty good too. Not as good as some games, but it is an older game. Game play is sweet fun with lots of stuff to destroy and humans to step on.

This is the Platinum Hits online enabled version

The photo of the game is misleading, this is the platinum hits online enabled version if you buy it new from Amazon. I was looking specifically for the original version.
