Brain Washing Dragon Ball Z Budokai

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 2 / 7

I am an 11 year old big sister of the owner of a Bragon Ball Z Budokai game. It is brain washing anyone who sees it! My cousin dosen't want to play anything but the game and he always plays with me. My cousin who is a girl and hates Dragon Ball Z wants to play it. My other bigger cousin thinks it's babyish stuff. But yet it brain washes him to want to play it. The point I am trying to say is, TAKE THE GAME OFF OF THE MARKET!!!!!!!!

A Dragon Ball Z Experience Worth the Price

Not only do I disagree with the horrible rating below, I think it is way out of line. Not only is this game great, it's also very true to the story line. Only a few things are left out. It may be that you need to do a combo for nearly all special moves, but that does not slow it down in fighting style. All the original voice actors are back (I think). Even Hercule makes an appearence wearing an interesting jetpack. The four and a half star rating it has is what it deserves. Recent Dragonball Z game: The Legacy of Goku for GBA is a little under par but Budokai is a DBZ hit for America.

All characters are featured all the way to the end of the Cell Saga appear which makes for diverse fighting. All characters are evenly matched too. It's not like some fighting games where only 3 or 4 characters actually stand a chance in a multiplayer match. If you watch the show then you may be like myself and point out differences in their storyline and the storyline of the game. It's not bad but it can be frustrating to see evil triumph over good. Another nice addition to the game is everyone's signature moves with the names that you never knew. This includes Vegeta's Gallick Gun (often confused with Gatling Gun). Goku's ever famous Kamehameha Wave is back and not disappointing. All you have to do is press the square button 4 times then O and you got the blast. The "28 year old" below makes it seem like you have to put in a 10 button combo to do an uppercut. Reviews like those should not even be posted over such a great game.

this game is great. It has all the story modes and with some people in the game you can transform into something. And it has about 5 modes story mode duel mode world tournament mode practice mode and it has edit skills. So you can get more skills to make new characters. Then you can go to story mode but, it takes a long time, it has about three story modes, but i finished it in one day. It is a great game, so you kids out there between 7 and 13 should really enjoy it.

This game is easy

Wassup this game is the easiest game i have ever played on my PS2. I picked it up the day it came out cause im a DBZ fan. I beat it in 1 hour. you will like the graphics are good but thats it. DBZ Budokai 2 is coming out in december so you gamers will have fun with that. It has way better graphics than the first.(It actually looks like the show)The only problem is that it only goos till the end of DBZ so its not that long.It is supposed to be way harder than the first and alot better. that is all.

DragonBall Z Budokai for the PSII is probabaly as faithful as a video game based on a absolutely popular Magna and Television series your gonna see from. At first I was a bit weary of about this game because it was made by Artari, who really didn't leave an impression on me with "Driver" [PSX] and the superfied glitch-tastic movie-based game "Enter the Maxtrix." I figured they were gonna rush this game like they did with "ETM" and it was gonna turn out horribly bad, I would be left with a bad game I wasted my money on. But to my humble surprise, this game is Fantastic [for Artari game]. You'll be able to play up to 20 or more characters from the series villains and Hero alike, spanning from Goku to Piccolo, and The sayains to Mighty android Cell. The menus are done quiet nicely. It looks and feels like something from Japan rather and the US. The game has Practice, Story, and Tournament modes to choose from. The story mode is not all that impressive, they could have just stuck with putting cut-scenes from the actual DBZ cartoon but instead they give poorly done 3D cut scenes that are somewhat like the episodes from the series but not at all as impressive. The Tournament mode is probably the hardest mode in the game of all, your opponents will knock you around like a rag doll which means your gonna have to spend a lot of time in the practice mode unless you wanna get beaten down because of your lack of practice. They are sheerly brutal [which is a DBZ trademark]. You also need to learn a lot of combos and tricks if you are to survrive either the Tournament or Story mode, because the further you go into the game the harder it gets despite the short battles. All the characters retain their trademark moves, like Goku's Kamehameha wave and Kaio-ken attack, Piccolo's spical beam cannon, Vegeta's Galick Gun, And freiza's Death beam. To make a long review short, this game is great for fans of DBZ, if your not a fan and dislike DBZ don't bother giving the game a second glance. However, if you are a fan give this game a chance, you'll love it.

This is the first of the DBZ Budokai series and its awesome. Excluding Budokai 2 and 3, this is the best DBZ game period. The story mode recreates the entire animated series up to the Cell Games in 3-D. Besides the story mode, you can play the duel mode which is like the multiplayer mode. You can also play the world tournament mode which pits you against other computer controlled characters in a tournament. If you win, you'll get money which you can use to buy skill capsules at Mr. Popo's skill shop. The next mode is the practice mode where you can practice your character's moves against your opponent. Then comes the edit skills mode, where you can change your character's skill capsules or buy new ones. These skill capsules contain attacks and items your characters can use. You can set up to 7 skills per character in their skill sheet. Set up each character's skills in your favorite way, to create the ultimate custom character. Another mode is the options where you can change difficulty levels, controller settings, and other things like brightness or screen position. The last mode you can have is actually a secret, one you'll have to unlock. All I'm telling you is that you can buy it at Mr. Popo's skill shop after you win first place in the world tournament mode playing at the adept level. Overall, this game is a must-have for any DBZ fans.

I think that if anyone ever said that this game stinks then they don't have the game or they don't like DBZ. As for the people who like it then i will start telling you guys that this game is the bomb. My favorite characters are Goku,Vegeta,Trunks,Gohan and Freiza (metal). Each of these players moves are in the order i written their names Goku Kamehameha, Vegeta Galick Gun,Gohan (kid) Maskeno Teen Kamahameha Adult Justice kick,Trucks Final Buster,Freiza Death Ball. In tourney mode i was Freiza and i was custom. I lost all my health in the finals againest Tein with his Dodon Ray. Good thing i had bought the Freiza spaceship capsule and it came and zapped me up and when i came i was metal freiza Tein still had low health so one Death ball and its all over. In Duel mode i was Goku againest Trunks when i juggeled him in the air and bashed him down with a kamehameha. Then, I hit him with a Spirit bomb and it made the biggest crater ever cause at that moment he used his Burning attack combined with my spirit bomb made over 5000 damage and it was coming straight when i shot a Kamehameha and spirit bomb at him to make it 7500 daamage but some how he got enough strength to use a another Burning attack ans Final Buster and i didn't see it coming so i was blasted and there was about 3 craters and i deflected the blast in to the air cause as soon as it came i went SSJ and used the kick combo to hot it in the air and blast it with jackhammer making it so bright that i just lost so much energy that i turned normal and landed in the crater with Trunks and he went SSJ and used the buster cannon to beat me. I got him back with Gohan though. In story mode, their is funny fusion with Cell. Well I got to go later

Like Rockem-Sockem robots!

With the sophistication possible in today's video games, Budokai falls short. It fails to offer real quality in the progressive levels of difficulty that make so many other games satisfying for months of excellent gaming. We paid $50 for this game because of the "Z" name. Initial excitement was high, but we quickly tired of it and no longer play.
